How big contracts have backfired for the Bills
Webster Guy replied to machine gun kelly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
completely disagree, and thankfully so does our upper management. -
I like your aggressiveness, but I don't think our lack of points last year was from guys not getting open. Woods gets open, Goodwin gets huge separation, Clay and Sammy among the best in class at it. Gordon is a monster for sure, just would rather see us use picks on guys that can block and tackle.

Sully throws in the towel too

Almost all written articles now are sensationalist clickbait. Don't blame the newspaper columnists, its what they have to do to keep a job--spew controversy and generate discussion/outrage/opinions. Radio is the same way to a lesser degree (wgr). -
Agreed. Without the injury he probably makes the squad but it set him back too far. He's always been great covering TE's or RB's, good instincts, batted balls etc., but reputation wasn't enough to keep him on the squad I guess. Doubt he is picked up elsewhere until injuries start happening and someone needs a mercenary 3-4 lb

McCoy - Best player no one is talking about
Webster Guy replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's got that Thurman slipperyness factor, the traveling shoes of O.J "i cut my hand on a glass in the hotel room" Simpson, the smooth chocolatey complexion of Eric Moulds, the nightclub skills of Charles the Natural Murray, and the engaging smile of Freddy boom boom Washington. Combine all that with the fast feet of Fred Twinkle Toes Flintstone and we've got one nasty hybrid of a running back. -
Bills Release Jordan Gay & Sign LB Ramon Humber

His brother Ben is a decent college prospect. -
Promo's right, just use the wifi and watch it on phone or a pad. Will likely look better on your device anyway, those jet blue tv's are pretty rough. Try to schedule your layover at Logan during week 4 so you can proudly wear your Garappolo=Gibran Hamdan shirt

John Clayton: Bills Have Eight Blue Chip Players
Webster Guy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I pretty much only care about the Bills and in my experience most of us on this board know far more about our team than outsiders do. -
It was a 'stupid decision' to play Tyrod Taylor
Webster Guy replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What nobody has mentioned is the quarterback forgot to do a quick glance to his left on the 7 step drop back. This wasn't a quick throw where an outside blitzer wont get there in time, its a 3+ second drop back. Gotta look left for a split second. Might freeze the safety, definitely will prevent the un-abated shot that he took, and is probably something he won't forget to do against Baltimore. -
Terrance Knighton cut by Pats

Not sure I agree with guys like Seymour, Welker, Chandler..... but I always refute even the smallest Belichick compliment due to my hatred of the man and his organization, their fans, their children, their-- See? -
After watching Sammy and Tyrod's lack of chemistry last week, I started thinking about the low number of reps the majority of our starters have had together so far. Manny, Kyle, Glenn, Sammy, Aaron, Richie--all major players on our team are going to be awfully rusty on opening day. Rex just said we won't see many starters out there against Detroit either, even for one series. Here's hoping the Ravens aren't coming out sharp against us because this really has been a tough preseason. The good news is Flacco just played his first series in 279 days since his knee blowout, and Suggs is just getting back from his season ending achilles tear as well and just played his first live snaps in a year. They have no TE threat with Watson put on IR yesterday, and Pitta/maxx williams out. Lost their rookie RB Dixon for awhile too. Forsett hasn't shown much speed or explosiveness in the preseason according to a team writer. I'm predicting a sloppy, fun game with a handful of blown assignments, tight hamstrings, cramps, penalties, pre snap timeouts and at least one 12-men-on-the-field call per team.

We re-watched some games last year on the DVR. Mario almost never beat his man. His only contributions were sniffing out screen plays early, very good at that. Otherwise he simply can't beat his guy. That's not changing in Miami, he's got zero pass rush presence.

Sorry, but I'm still going to miss Hogan

80 grabs as the 5th receiving option behind gronk, bennett and the 2 white midgets? try 40 -
There's no blaming Goodwin for working hard and trying to a reliable NFL receiver. Its the best way to make a living and he can consistently get separation on the field. I would grade him a C on ball skills, but luckily he has a very accurate long ball throwing qb so he doesn't usually have to make major adjustments while the ball is in the air. As far as reliability, it's an F grade for Goody. He's another Roscoe Parrish-- fun to watch, never healthy, great in college, too fragile for the NFL. They shine in camp, awesome for the first few games, then in and out (usually out) for the rest of the year. Goody ran a blazing 4.29 at the NFL combine which is why we drafted him, Powell was like 4.5, i don't know about Little's speed or whats happening with Listenbee this season but if it's a burner we really want then I would save him for select plays and NOT start the guy unless he's used as a decoy, safe out patterns or long balls. No over the middle stuff or he's a goner.

Hogan isn't that good. He's a great athlete that will get some yards but he's not going to be Brady's 1st 2nd or 3rd read on most plays. Too many players ahead of him.

That $2 rum was the same stuff that got Lochte in trouble. (my autocorrect changes Lochte to scumbag primadonna)

Josh Gordon - Would you trade for him?
Webster Guy replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Too many teams weaker at WR than we are will be making better offers and praying this dopey kid can clean himself up and be a professional. We are good at WR and we have enough babysitting as it is on this team. Seattle or Oakland for a 3rd and a conditional 2nd. -
8-22: Bills' 2016 Training Camp - (6 PM - 8 PM)
Webster Guy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He threw a few passes on the back field but didn't really move his feet. Added a lot more throws EJ and TT with no 3rd man. They both threw 125 balls easy tonite. Ed Reed wanted to play 3rd qb but they didn't let him. -
and Hughes for Shep. still laughing about that one.

my understanding of Marcel's suspension was that it was for missing a drug test, not failing one. same situation for Bell, he got 4 games and it was reduced to 3 on appeal Friday. I'm hoping that precedent will help Dareus get back on the field for that 4th game in New England, assuming he is out of rehab and ready to play at that time. Has he appealed the suspension yet?

Is Cyrus Kouandjio Still a Bust?
Webster Guy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whaley said he was the biggest surprise of camp so far, although he might be a little biased because he's not wanting to have whiffed on a 2nd round pick. Kujo's got the perfect tackle body, maybe he will come around and be productive. I don't trust him to be an LT yet until he has a good regular season showing against a decent pass rusher all day -
I used to think all defenses live and die by the effectiveness of the front four, but in most of Rex's packages the key seems to be the D-backs. Gilmore, Darby, Robey and Seymour is an impressive group of corners. Physical, fast ball hawkers that force qb's to go to the checkdowns a lot. Makes the front 7 look great
