  1. Being at the game last night, I thought Losman was absolutely on target with at least 11 of his 14 throws. Meaning, should have been caught balls. Two were throwaways and one was thrown hard and outside -- tough to catch. My first thought was also that if Moulds had caught the ball on the crossing pattern, he wouldn't have gotten hit. JMHO Losman was on target last night.
  2. the second (missed) 54 yarder was ALMOST in too. Just about scraped paint off of the upright
  3. There was at least one throw where I had to back up TIVO 8 seconds to replay the pass a couple of times because I just didn't see it leave JP's hand until it was out of the picture. The boy throws a fast ball! And 9 times out of 10, it's right where it needs to be. Part of the dropsies by our team may be that they're still adjusting to a faster throw. I dunno?
  4. just as long as we don't hear an afternoon report of how long Jon Dorenbos can pee ...
  5. There's almost no way to sync it up. Open air antenna, cable, and satellite have all different delay times. Someone who is way more attuned to the technology could explain it better than me, but I know for sure there is a difference so radio couldn't sync to the TV cuz it wouldn't know which to sync to.
  6. or maybe Larry Kinnebrew -- we need a BIG load
  7. speaking of guaranteed money ... how much of a signing bonus did he receive last year? anyone know the numbers? I'm sure he's guaranteed more than I'll make in my lifetime, just from this one contract.
  8. What I just don't get is: TO nixed the trade to Baltimore last year TO signed a brand new 7(?) year deal upon arriving in Philly TO now says that contract (only 14% gone, some of which he was injured for) is inadequate He had more bargaining power last year. Period.
  9. right, cuz RJ lost that game ...
  10. Not to equate the Patsies with a blind squirrel, but ... even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.
  11. Last spring?! Last spring?! You mean last summer, before the threat of a lockout. This truly represents one of the most boneheaded negotiating periods in human history.
  12. here, here
  13. I know what you're saying, Frez. But I would contend that we would have lost to most any team that day. We were destined. Also I'm only talking about receiver depth. Their current backups only caught 3 balls for 28 yards that day. Maddox was 12-24 for 120 yards. I also don't think Hines will holdout. BUT the Steelers may let him walk after this season. I think that is VERY likely.
  14. So ... let me get this straight ... We need to either stop manned flight or take it away from NASA because it's a waste of resources and NASA managers couldn't run a McDonald's? Right ... Even with the problems that NASA has encountered (some of them their own fault because of bloated beauracracy) they have still done more in 40 years than most of us could hope to do. You can question the need to slam a probe into a comet, but to pull it off is impressive. I know many of your comments are hyperbole, but let's give some credit to work that has been accomplished. SpaceShipOne, though impressive for a privately funded operation, still pales in comparison to what NASA has accomplished. Also remember that SS1 built upon the foundation of what NASA did. As far as the shuttles being all things to all groups, it wasn't up to them. It was from political pressure to include all the different needs in the design of the shuttle. It was a phenomenal engineering feat in its day. Thanks for being impressed.
  15. They cannot afford to have Hines holdout -- or lose him after this season -- they have little quality depth
  16. Yeah, the rest will be in blaze orange
  17. Sabres have always been a decent value. Live in Pittsburgh ... go to the igloo and pay $30 for horrid seats, and you only get that price if you order 100 tickets at a time (10 seats for 10 games, 4 seats for 25 games) I don't think there is a seat in HSBC that is worse than some of the good seats in Mellon Arena
  18. the Star Spangled Banner written by Sir Francis Scott Off-Key
  19. I'm glad you know everything ... if I need to formulate my opinion or find out all the facts, I'll be sure to stop by ...
  20. So do you favor "wast[ing] valuable coin" paying for the procedures? If it's money you're worried about, it would be cheaper to outlaw abortion -- from the government's standpoint -- not getting into the insurance angle
  21. it was definitely mcginest. Tedi is a stand up guy. Everything I've seen about him as a player and person is nothing but quality. Just cuz he's a patsy doesn't make him evil.
  22. I couldn't get over the fact that someone brought a two year old to the midnight showing of Episode III. TWO YEARS OLD????? MIDNIGHT????? There's something called parental responsibility.
  23. it was said the NASA program is better, but the resolution in urban areas is significantly inferior, unless there is a way to download improved pics, ... anyone know anything about it?
  24. The stealing of the fizzy lifting drink was another add-in by the original movie that wasn't in the book. I would bet that Dahl was upset about tarnishing the Charlie character -- might be one reason why he didn't like the movie. Very rarely does the "hero" of a movie stay untarnished nowadays -- Burton kept Charlie above reproach in his character, tough to do in this day and age.
  25. Don't forget the pickle juice
