Jackson is as grabby as they say Elam is. That could have been a PI. -

Bit of a weak call on Dane Jackson. The entire defense got mesmerized by that play actions, yeesh. They need these reps. -

And then Tremaine drops into the middle to cover, and doesn't cover, and doesn't tackle. -

Tremaine diagnoses the screen and makes the tackle, that was what he's supposed to do with his gifts. -

How is Josh Johnson still in this league? Especially after seeing that first throw, that was a good call and a layup pass. Oh. That second pass I guess. -

There can be a lapse but only if you're a pro. -
This guy reminds me of Herbert R. Kornfeld, Accounts Receivable, getting involved in a world beyong his sensibility. Or simply a well crafted troll on a baitable fanbase.

Kingsley: "Injury? What injury?" McDermott: "The one you're going to have in practice before cutdown day." Jonathan, Shakir, Spector, Hodgins, Blackshear were all guys that all really popped, and of those only Shakir figures to be a lock. I'm hoping they can find a way to keep all on PS at least but this game tape is going to get around the league, but even if it only gets to New Jersey, they might need to roster a couple more on the 53 to keep them as Bills.

I didn't see Basham as a guy who'd be able to win with speed in his body of work last year but he did that on the sack/strip. His get-off from the snap was so fast he must have been timing it but he won the rep immediately. If he adds that upfield threat, I do think he's a closer like Rousseau or Von, once he gets there he's making the play.

Just didn't think performed on a lot of reps. He had the big play and that gets the press but the body of work, in my opinion, wasn't as stellar. Maybe it's the same system that makes Edmunds look that way too haha.

Rewatching the Colts game I'm interested to see more of some non-starters: 1) Kingsley Jonathan looks style-wise an awful lot like Von - quick off the line, bends to get low around the tackle on the edge, has a power counter as well. Hope that nobody else notices this and Bills can get him through to the practice squad. There seems to be some tools there for a true edge. 2) Terrell Bernard didn't really look the part in a majority of his reps. A step slow and/or a touch small. Wondering if that's nerves or a truer representation than camp. 3) Isaiah Hodgins to see what he's bringing to special teams reps. I suspect the staff wants to see some adequacy. If Kumerow is as much better than Hodgins on ST as he is over Kumerow at receiver, that tiebreaker should go to Hodgins for #5/6. 4) Baylon Spector for the same reason, if he can be a core-4 teamer, he's in. Won by being instinctive and decisive and some traits to work with. 5) Nick McCloud didn't really live up to his hype as a bubble DB against Indy. 6) Brandin Bryant and Prince Emili won more reps than I was expecting against Indy, can they do it again?

So Joe Burrows appendectomy thread necrofloated on the Bills forum which naturally made me think: are there any songs about appendectomies? Only one comes to mind, and it’s just too much of a fun lyric not to post. It concerns the Royal Flying Doctor service for the Outback, and a physician that can’t keep from emptying the medical cabinet to treat himself, so to speak. A Sheila in the bush by a Koolahbar tree Needed an urgent appendectomy The Flying Doctor like a true Australian, Performed the operation with a sardine can He made a rough incision and tried to chew it out, He had no anaesthetic, so she started to shout, She started to shout, when he was chewing it out, She started to shout, he tried to chew it right out, He balled up his fist and scientifically socked her, Look out you'd better duck, Here comes the Flying Doctor

Should we be guessing the dollars or the team?

If anything Araiza should be more of a weapon the worse the weather gets. Allen can really spin it and those longer throws in the Cyclone Bowl were still getting whipped around to where Diggs couldn’t catch a ball put right on his hands. Punts should get Niekro’d far beyond that, good luck with those.

It helps distract from having to listen to them?

He does sort of embody that “Commitment To Average” that defined the 2000’s until McBeane.
-
Hack’s absolute ceiling is league average, that’s it. And that requires being immaculate and avoiding blocks and shanks. Araiza has a top-3 type ceiling, and his floor is probably about league average. Feels like this one is over but for the visit from the Turk.

Does LB Baylon Spector make the Bills final 53?

It’s genetic. Have we forgotten?
