  1. I'm fascinated by the audio geek world, and how some people can pay what they do for speakers. have they done blind tests on the super high end stuff to see if people can tell a difference? (i know what you are talking about doesn't fit that category)
  2. very interesting - that last one made me throw up in my mouth a bit.
  3. interestingly enough - in 2010 there is no estate tax (due to a quirk / congressional screw up). If Ralph were to die this year - whoever he left the team to could save several hundred million dollars. Of course, our wonderful congress could come in, pass a law that retroactively changed the estate tax rate (if that's not a reason to hate them, i don't know what is).
  4. little did we know how long it would be....
  5. JP bought a house in oakland and is really trying to become a part of the community. they love him there.
  6. I don't know what the big deal is, urine is sterile. (no i don't p*ss in the sink...but it is sterile from what i understand)
  7. have fun, and don't judge us based on the large number of pats fans who always make their way to our late season games when we are out of the hunt. Hopefully that won't be the case this year, but it probably will be.
  8. we aren't making the playoffs - but the fact that this thread even exists shows how a single choice or two by a coach can change everything. probably half the teams that miss the playoffs could look back and say "if only" and point to a handful of plays that ruined their chances by losing them a few games. In the past 3 seasons how many more games would the bills have won if a single, reasonable play had gone just a bit differently in the last 5 minutes . May not have gotten us to the playoffs but would have made it interesting..... If losman hadn't rolled out and fumbled vs the jets if leodis fell to the ground when touched if the broncos only had 9 seconds left instead of 11 to kick a last second FG then add the browns / cowboys etc to the list and we might actually have a few 9-7 or 10-6 seasons in the mix. good coaches win more close ones than they lose....so let's pick a good one.
  9. i doubt this. 40 hockey games with big time corporate sales vs 9 football games with low corporate sales + you own the arena + concerts + 20% of the local sports network. Now factor in how much the bills are worth vs what ralph paid and it is a much different story.
  10. I love that people are asking us to cut one of the top 10 or 20 receivers of all time because he has bad body language.
  11. I'd second that - probably the best trip we've taken. 3 days at the volcano, 5 days on the ocean. Not sure if october is a good season to visit though. Also depends on price.
  12. not that it matters, but the bills have 3 times as many sacks this season as the jets.
  13. it's only 4 games into the season. BUT... He is really, really trying to change his image. Reality show, stupid ABC show, admission he wants to act etc. He knows that if he keeps his mouth shut this year he can get to a new team, and get ready for his future in hollywood.
  14. their 4th game was a 30-10 loss against the dolphins on the road in which they had a total of 146 yards. and THEY WON THE SUPERBOWL. Ha. Seriously though - can you imagine the concept of this team winning the super bowl? try to wrap your brain around that for a few minutes. In 2001 Patsfans.com probably had the same mood as this place does today, but without the 400,000 bandwagon jumpers that would arrive a few months later. (and no, i'm not expecting anything).
  15. they ignored the part where the team scored 2 other times in the last 2 minutes and got an onside kick....the whole thing is incredible.
  16. the guy with 8 posts might want to learn a little bit more before he starts talking trash.....
  17. I wouldn't call WEEI professional, but it is very entertaining. Polarizing yes, annoying yes but entertaining.
  18. that's what scares me the most. I liked what I saw today, but we beat a bad team who kept killing themselves time and time again.
  19. #3 really isn't an expensive option, 2 new paddle switches will cost you $2 each and a new plate will cost you $1. some people don't like mixing it up in their houses though. btw, put a dimmer in your bathroom as well - you'll thank me later.
  20. i was just excited to see an audible period. If i remember correctly, JP didn't have any audibles one of the seasons he was QB (how does that happen?) it did seem however the audible took a while to be communicated and understood - especially if you use manning as the comparison. That will get better with time though.
  21. CG - did you start this list yourself? 9/14/09 - PATRIOTS 25 BILLS 24 -Opening the season in Foxboro on Monday night and having not beat the Patriots since 2003, Buffalo leads for nearly the entire game. With just over 2:00 left, the Patriots march down the field and score a TD but miss the 2 pt conversion that woudl have brought them within 3. On the kickoff with 2:05 left on the clock, Leodis McKelvin of the Bills takes the kickoff out of the endzone, and fumbles the ball trying to get extra yardage on the 27 yard line. The Patriots recover, and score a TD with 50 seconds left. The Bills get the ball with :50 seconds left but do nothing. 11/16/08 - BROWNS 27 BILLS 26 - After overcoming a 13 point deficit the Bills and Browns trade leads in the last 3 minutes of this monday night game. Cleveland takes the lead on a 56 yard field goal in the Buffalo night with 1:38 left. Buffalo misses a 47 yard field goal with 38 seconds left to lose the game.
  22. great throw, great catch and a good call. this one, not so much. http://touchdown.org/new-england-patriots/...-first-down.php
  23. in 2001 the patriots started the season 1-3 and nobody in the league would have picked them to finish .500, nonetheless win the super bowl. just sayin....
