10/13/2025 Bills at Falcons - Post game thread

I read that Cook last touched the ball with 11:45 left to go in the 4th quarter...if that's true, then somebody needs to lose their job! -
Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?

I keep seeing these posts about trading for 2 or 3 new pieces to the team. Do we all honestly think that Beane will even trade for one player, let alone several?? It wouldn't shock me to see the Bills roll with who they currently have. Do we even have any cap space to make a significant trade(s)??? -
You are right on. We have put every receiver into a box as to what they do and every team knows this! We need more versatility. Having a receiver or two thats considered a gadget player (and cant stay healthy) does us no good Yeah, getting tired of new players needing to fit the "culture"! Maybe talent and athleticism count even more. The first way is definitely not working lately

Rotation works if you have the depth to avoid defensive play dropping off a cliff! The Bills, right now, dont have that luxury.

Look, I love my Bills and I never ever give up on a game until the clock runs down to 0:00 but we could easily be 4-4 after the Kansas City game. Time to knock off all this Super Bowl favorites and #1 seed nonsense. This team is lost right now, no cohesiveness, no spark, even Superman Josh and the O-Line seems problematic...I could easily see the "Bickering Bills" of yesteryear return if the bad play all around still continues. The last thing we want or need is the players starting to point fingers at each other! If the ship isn't righted somehow soon, this is gonna get ugly! -

Its time for a big game from Josh Palmer...we pay him alot of money to not have Brady involve him in the offense more! -
Or "some players eat, while other just play with their food!" Actually, I feel like the receiving core will be better and starting to click more each coming game...

DT T.J. Sanders and S Damar Hamlin to Injured Reseve

Teams have 8 slots to IR a player and bring them back after a minimum of 4 weeks out. Once the 4 weeks or anytime thereafter, are up they can open a 21 day practice window to get the player back on the roster. If that doesnt happen within the 21 days, the player will be out for the remainder of the season. I hope that makes sense -
Gotta assume these two spots will be going to Hoecht and Ogunjobi after Monday!

someone OR something???

Pretty sure Logue is out of call-ups...no more games for him unless he is signed to the 53 man roster
-
Never understood why all 53 can't suit up for a game!

The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion

I wanna believe that Palmer, Moore and Samuel can scoot down field just fine...are they being called on to do that though? -
Am I the only one out here that thinks Cooper was a bust??? I feel like the only reason most dont b*tch about him is that he only cost us 800K. He didnt look like he was interested in playing football, and while he did have a couple of great catches, he added very little imo.

While I agree with your point for the most part, with the exception of the Jets game, the Bills have not really looked crisp or stout in all 3 phases of the game...thats the reason I am concerned. Individuals who we counted on time and time again don't seem to have the same abilities just one season later. Something is missing. I know many want to blame the receiver room but I think we have plenty of talent there...and yet we still look like we cant throw the ball downfield. The defense has definitely been spotty, getting pushed around, missing tackles, bad angles, etc, etc etc. We are in desperate need of a CB2 and even CB1 has been less than his usual stellar self. Taron Johnson and Taylor Rapp seem lost or hesitant. Everyone wanted to blame Cole Bishop early on but he seems like he is the only one in the secondary that has been progressing week to week. I know injuries are a concern right now but every team deals with that. My amateur opinion is that we need to simplify the defense so we can put good athletes into our system and they can be effective from the get-go. We have a habit of recycling past players cuz they know the 'system'! That doesnt seem to be working out very well. While I do expect players to get better with each game, I am concerned about the mistakes just doing the fundamentals.

Bernard has been pushed around and out of position more this year than I can remember. Sure, he makes a great play here and there, but he has a hard time shedding someone blocking into him.
-
As far as Shakir goes, does anyone else think we are hurting ourselves having someone back there just fair catching punts??? Obviously, I dont wanna see Shakir get hurt bu maybe Samuels or Moore might be better suited to try and get some yardage on the punts. Not saying they are more expendable than Shakir, but.... To be fair, Bernard, Johnson, Rapp and Benford haven't been exactly stellar either!

Spector is middle of the road but the best ability is availability...thats where he has fallen short. Even the staunchest Bills fan who loves them some Matt Milano is starting to see that his lack of availability has become a huge detriment. No one on here is mad...just as you are entitled to your opinions, so is everyone else...as long as it stays clean. I have not read any angry or mad posts. We all love our Bills...and we will never all agree on the direction or decisions that the team is making. Bu we all gotta agree that our eyes have shown us that 4 out of the 5 games so far have not been up to our, or the teams, standards or what we have come to expect. Hopefully each week the team will get crisper and more sound, but in my opinion, with the exception of Cook, individual play from other Bills has been subpar I hate to see anybody lose their job, but coming in the next few weeks are gonna be a handful of roster cuts to make room for the additions. I'd rather Spector not be taking one of those PS spots that a cut guy could get.
-
You're right...I stand corrected.
-
I wasnt insinuating that we go get a CB for the PS. I was insinuating that our attentions are more urgent to get a corner on the 53 man roster sooner than later. We are down to 3 on the 53 man plus Dane Jackson on PS. We have a bigger supply of LB's right now on both the 53 and PS. Tre is getting torched and even Benford doesnt seem to be the same guy. To add a rostered corner plus add Hoecht and Ogunjobi next week we will need to cut 3 rostered players. Hopefully, those players can be added to the PS. But that will be harder if Spector is taking a slot already
-
No one is looking to be mad about any old thing...the team has not looked sharp at all in any game this season. Fans are just wishing and hoping to see that management and coaching might be taking the best steps to make progress down the road. My whole point is that instead of Spector, I see cornerback as a much more immediate area of concern.
-
if you need vets around for the younger guys then make them coaches...PS is for development and insurance imo
