I am not in the McD firing crowd (yet)... but I will say he needs to improve and adjust. His philosophy has gotten us so far, but will likely not take us farther... I do have hope.. Andy Reid was known as one who couldn't win the big one as well (7yrs and 18 overall) as was Cowher (14 yrs) Madden (8yrs)... In fact only 5 coaches have won a SB within 5 years of taking over their teams. I look at people like Vermiel and Pete Carroll etc.. I think there is hope. But, he is going to need to adjust and improve... I think he gets this year as a re tool as long as we dont fall flat completely.. but the year following is put up or shut up. Top 10 is nice.... but when you have won your division 4 years in a row... won a playoff game every year and made it to an AFC Championship game... you would think the rating might be higher... So I am looking at 10 as a bit of rightfully placed shade on his job performance... Just my opinion.

Not into the Burrow comparison, Burrow went to a SB etc... (although he always seems to be hurt) not sure I am ready to put Tua in that category IMO... Now Herbert and Goff that is where Tua's agent I am sure is going... even Lawrence.... But Miami is still saying often hurt, 1 season, late season collapse... etc... they just arent ready to do it after one season... the more I think on this and the positions of both sides the more contentious I see this becoming... From my perspective... and this is just an eye test for me... I do not see him leading the Dolphins anywhere past an earlyish playoff exit. But time will tell there...

Yes there is always someone out there.... and rarely does it work out I would put odds on it if Rodgers flames... I also would not put it by the Stillers if Wilson flames and Fields isnt the answer.

I agree with this all... I would hate to be in the spot the Dolphins are with this contract... Tua has a very good season with McDaniel, but the others were almost average and injured. I want to see another year if I am them to make a big offer... I believe they can franchise him if they cant come to an agreement after this year like Baltimore did with Lamar. That of course will cost them big next year and they may have wished they did the contract now... but if he proves they need to cut bait then they were smart. In the end as a Bills fan it doesnt hurt us... If they cut bait, they are looking for a QB and are a mess... if he has a great season they are gonna pay more next year... Either way, if I am the Dolphins I am playing it like they are... I think at this point lost is the hope they throw stupid money at him and he has a bad year.

I actually like the concept of this thread tbh.... not that I think it is realistic as there is not a real chance Brady would come to do this.... but as a discussion topic it seems fun. So here is my take... I think Brady would help Josh more on the preparation, nutrition, work out side etc... than in actually physical QB development. I think they are 2 different QBs with divergent skill sets... but it would be interesting to see....

Lots of IFs for the Bills... feel like KC might have a bit of a dull year... I am thinking the Bengals or the Ravens. I agree .... do not underestimate the power of a last place schedule for sure!

I agree, they just worked out of cap trouble for next year. I don't see him over committing in a re tool year like this. I think Beane has it in his head to see what he has and adjust from a better cap position going forward.
