Listening to Joe Brady on the pregame and he said they have a standard on offense and he expects them to play to the standard today no matter who plays. He said he is excited to see some of the younger guys play and get reps against the pats defense because of their scheme. He wants to see trubisky play well and not just handoff. He noted that unlike the preseason in the regular season you can not just rest all your starters. A lot of the guys will play all game and he expects them to play to the standard.

Tell that to Zac Taylor who said last night, They don't want us in the tournament I promise. Then said they can take it all the way if they get in. Denver and miami have to lose. Both are very doable.

Jay Glazer just said the word around the league is that multiple teams are interested in trading for Vikings Head Coach Kevin O'Connell. Apparently he has 1 year left on his deal and the team has not even approached him about an extension. This is odd? Are they going to trade him and promote Flores. This is a really wild rumor honestly. Why in the world would the vikings not rehire one of the best offensive coaches in the league? Doesn't make much sense. Maybe its his agent putting it out there today to pressure the vikings to give him a monster extension.

I hope james cook gets like 9 carries and gains 65 yards and scores a TD on the opening drive. he deserves the 1000 yards and that TD. after that I just want them to win and be healthy.

Did u guys see the story that the vikings owner bought 2 million dollars worth of tickets for the game in detroit tonight and sold them to the vikings fans at a discount. Seems kind of odd. They have drafted good not great defensive lineman. they need to find some great ones going forward.

I have zero faith the people currently running the pats will make the best use of the #1 pick. They are a mess and seemingly are bringing everyone back to try it again next year. i want the bills to win. The pats having the number 1 pick means nothing to me and the bills winning 14 games in a season is pretty great.

Allen better win MVP. They have his replacement all set with this extension.

I want cook to be active and get another rushing touchdown. he is 19 yards short of 1000. i hope the opening drive is like 6 straight runs for cook and then some quick safe throws. I would t be surprised if Allen wants cook to break 1000 yard and get that 16th TD.

The last team that beat them in Buffalo in the regular season is Denver. That Denver game was buffalo refusing to run the ball and Denver simply dropping 7 and daring them to run. That is why Brady became the OC. It was a tremendously bad play calling day by Dorsey. Bills Broncos will be tight if they play in the wild card round.

Their tackles are poor but the interior has been good. Its a copout blaming the jets oline for their struggles this year.

Yep. He was a punching bag in Philly after the 05 season. Losing 3 straight nfc championships, having poor wr and never running the ball, screwing up time issues etc. Then losing the super bowl and releasing Owens. On top of that he was extremely lucky in a few of those playoff games, that 4th and 26 vs GB in 03 was a ridiculous mistake by the packers. Lots of great teams and coaches get stuck and can not get over the hump. Very few have in the history of the league. The Colts actually winning a super bowl to me is still a bit of a surprise. That team always felt small and finesse. The Pats being worn out finally and playing them at home is what they needed. Plus a pretty average bears team in the superbowl helped.

I feel like upgrading the personnel in the front 7 on defense is what is needed. Not firing the coach. The last two seasons and offseasons have shown the Bills coaching staff and front office have a plan and can execute it. The issue will become, How much longer can Allen play at this level? Do you pay cook? How many years does dawkins have left? etc. They have to commit to getting bigger and better on defense the way they did over the last two offseasons on offense. We are lucky to have McDermott and Beane. Just look around the league most organizations are a mess. The coaches available to hire are pretty average and if McDermott was available he would be the number 1 guy.

Yes I am a tv editor. I understand the business of this but allowing the tv networks to schedule games that create a competitive balance is nonsense. Just like the Monday night playoff game is foolish. and fwiw I wonder had Atlanta won if the rams Seahawks game would have been the sat night game. That would fit the profile of an important game.

They will know at the end of the night. That isn’t the issue though. If Baltimore plays the sat playoff game then they would have an advantage over LA but not Pittsburgh. this just flies in the face of competitive balance. Just like the Monday night playoff game is ridiculous so is this. it’s Jerry jones nfl though so I guess tv networks decide what is important

The only way it makes sense for Baltimore is if they are playing next Saturday also. Then it’s normal rest especially since I think Pitt is going to lose and they will both be on the same schedule.

That’s not how it works. The bills have to play a road game Saturday and no matter how many times people say it doesn’t matter and starters won’t play. They still have to prepare and only a few starters will sit. its just not right anyway you try and excuse it. and again throw in the fact that the 3 seed is also getting an extra day of rest. It’s absurd. The bengals are winning this game no matter what the Steelers do.
