Amen to that. if they trade up for a Defensive tackle in the first round that is just bad business. Although having said that, it seems the demand from teams will be there and the supply will run out shortly, Dane Brugler said this in a chat recently: Don’t be surprised when a third of the top-100 picks come on the defensive line. So from that perspective I guess if it is the only way then its the only way but I am in the camp that a group of similar players will be available when they pick and would move back a little if the opportunity presents itself.

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6253459/2025/04/04/bills-2025-nfl-draft-defensive-tackles/ Why Grant falls below Harmon all has to do with current third-down capabilities. At this point, Grant is more of a clean-up pass-rusher than one who disrupts the pocket, and early on in his career, he may be nothing more than an early-down asset who has to come off the field for obvious pass-rushing situations, though there is more of a nimbleness to his movement abilities than other massive one-technique run-stuffers. He’ll never dip and rip through blockers, but through his power and movement skills, there is a path to seeing him develop as an asset on third downs. It will take some projecting by the team that drafts him. He suggests if Harmon is available in the 20's to trade up and go get him. If Harmon is available in the mid-20s or at No. 30 for the Bills, it could be a slam-dunk investment for them. He mentions an interesting day 3 1 tech DT that I find pretty interesting, Jamaree Caldwell Jamaree Caldwell, Oregon — Caldwell is a gap-plugging, space-eating, one-technique-only prospect at 332 pounds with a quick first step. There is some thought he would be best suited to the 0-technique role in a 3-4 defense, but he’s a clear strength as a run defender.

Owners approve rules adjustments for Replay, OT, and Kickoff
MikePJ76 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just heard that mope Mike florio on 105.3 the fan and he said he can’t believe no one except the eagles has figured out how to run the tush push. He said this multiple times. This is a man whose primary income comes from covering the nfl. -
Daniel Jeremiah has a new top 50. https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2025-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-4-0 for fun. 30. Kenneth Grant

McDermott in animated discussion with Roseman?
MikePJ76 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
They were probably arguing over that goofy hat with the flat brim McDermott was wearing. Does he have an N'Sync tribute album coming out or something? -
Nice. Second best move of the offseason.

Bills Related Draft News & Discussion
MikePJ76 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
If this were to happen the bills would be in a great spot. Someone will trade up for him and teams overpay for qb’s, someone might give us a 3 this year and 2. Ext year to move up a few spots. -
The chiefs would have lost to the three teams Buffalo did also.

FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft
MikePJ76 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kiper and Jeremiah had Grant to the bills at 30 also! Would be great if they stayed put and got a really good player like grant. I am really worried about the corner position at the moment however. I feel like Beane screwed the pooch not paying one and has now created a dire need at the position. -
Here is a mock from somone named Ben Standing at the athletic. I did not realize Mike Green has two sexual assaults possibly hanging over his head. If Beane were to trade up for a guy in that situation he should be fired. 26. *Buffalo Bills (via Rams): Mike Green, Edge, Marshall (Projected trade: Bills acquire No. 26 from Rams for Nos. 30 and 109) The Bills (10 picks) get ahead of the Ravens and Lions in pursuit of edge-rusher help. Free-agent signing Joey Bosa is Greg Rousseau’s tag-team partner for 2025, while Green, last season’s FBS leader with 17 sacks, adjusts going from the Thundering Herd to the NFL. Green could be among the first 15 picks if teams are comfortable with his off-the-field controversies.

AT&T stadium in Arlington is awful. If that’s what you want you are way off. that place and what it represents is the opposite of Buffalo. It’s like 40% opposing fans every week. dont even get me started on the rangers ballpark down the street. Just terrible.
-
no one is going to have to shovel snow at the new stadium nor will fans sit in seats filled with snow in the new building.

Nearly 500 million of the states portion came from the seneca nations revenue they share with the state from slot machines. erie county has a large bill though with 250 million but I believe they issued 125 million in municipal bonds. Again, I agree billionaires should pay the freight for their toys 100%.
-
while i hate billionaires and believe it is ridiculous they do not pay for these facilities alone, the taxpayers are not paying billions for the stadium.

I don't like trading up for Ezeiruaku. Not a fan of Collins and especially not at 56 when Dane Jackson is currently the other starter across from benford. And then porter seems like a reach at 62 plus he seems like a guy who is not going to be good enough to step right in and play day one opposite benford. It seems the corners who will be good enough to play day one will all be close to gone by pick 56. I would rather they take one at 30 or move back a little and take one as opposed to trading up for a rotational pass rusher. I have no problem with Ezeiruaku at 30 if they get one of the better corners at 56. I just don't see them making it there. I just didn't like Joe Buscaglia's approach here. I am worried all three of those players might be just guys in a year or two on an nfl roster.
-
Joe Buscaglia has a new mock. I have to say I do not like this one at all. Bills 2025 mock draft class (3/21) The pick at No. 26: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, BC The pick at No. 56: Alfred Collins, DT, Texas The pick at No. 62: Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State The pick at No. 128: Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State The pick at No. 132: Caleb Rogers, G/T, Texas Tech The pick at No. 173: Jake Brinningstool, TE, Clemson The pick at No. 177: Dante Trader Jr., S, Maryland The pick at No. 206: James Burnip, P, Alabama

It’s time for a generational talent, blue chipper
MikePJ76 replied to Vickveto's topic in The Stadium Wall
No that is not how it works. the bills 30th pick is worth 620, their first fourth round pick is worth 76. clevelands pick is worth 2600 and the giants pick is worth 2200. buffalo’s total draft is worth 1458 points. So their whole draft this year and next years 1 is still not enough. -

I don’t have the chart in front of me but I think the total point value of all of buffalo’s draft picks is somewhere between 1440 and 1500. the picks you are talking about would require the entire 2025 draft plus most of next years. I think the top 5 picks are worth more than 2200 points on the chart -
in theory yes. The reality is the owners never allow them to open the roofs. Its always just a little too cold so they want the heat for their expensive seat holders or its too warm and they want the ac on. the only place that I can think of that actually opens the roof more than normal is seattle. The Tampa Bay Rays this year are going to play outside and away from the worst venue in pro sports. It's going to be a huge gain for them. People are going to love going to watch them play in Tampa this summer, even in the heat.
-
I have no idea why people like domes as I stated. They are terrible, bad turf, bad lighting they are a major waste of energy making heat and AC. I've sat through lots of games in snow, sleet and high wind in Buffalo, Cleveland, New York, Dallas...They were all better than the domes. Football was not meant to be attended in AC while sipping wine and having 50 dollar sushi.
-
Dome stadiums are the worst. I have no idea why everyone loves them so much. and the teams with domes never open the roofs like they say they will.
-
A man of impeccable taste. should have signed him for double what they gave him.

it could be, Adam Henry was the wr coach with Cooper in Dallas in 20 & 21 and the cowboys dumped him. Now he had him again and he was just a guy. it would be very bad if it was a bills staff member though. There is no need to be talking negatively to a reporter about a guy who was just on your team. Its just lousy. I imagine it wasn't a bills coach. also when cleveland is on the clock at pick number 94 I am going to be uber pissed. That was a terrible, terrible trade.
-
i imagine the nitwits in the DFW media probably walked him into it in some respect. All they know here is to look for headlines and problems. One of the worst groups of media that covers a pro sports team in the country. So I give him a subtle pass but yea he should not be saying anything negative in march, if he has a good season in Dallas and becomes a starter then he could say it was a coaching issue in Buffalo, not in march however.
