  1. I agree they seem to be pacing themselves some games. I think this manifests itself in two obvious ways: 1) How much Josh runs the ball. Game gets close, time for a 30 yards runs up the middle to take control. We keep hearing the 'break glass' euphemism by the broadcasters. 2) Resting starters. When Buffalo rested Ed Oliver, Taron Johnson and Matt Milano against the Jets because of the short turnaround with Miami later that week I was stunned that we took them so lightly. Even if we allow for Ed actually being injured, resting Taron and MM seemed disrespectful to an NFL team (even if it is the Jests, who BTW always play us tough). I get contending teams see the regular season as the round robin part of the season where you just have to do enough and stay healthy, but I am just waiting for a quality opponent where this tendency will bite us in the ass. New England is much improved, if the Bills coast or take them lightly we could easily be 4 -1
  2. Interesting video. I struggle with the idea of the NFL as an 'entertainment league' rather than as a sports league (which they used in their anti-trust defense). I think it invites the suspicion that they could determine the outcome of games. All of this in a world where the NFL is increasingly in bed with gambling based on the outcome of its games. Imagine betting on WWE and yet no one bats an eyelash and picking their trifecta for this entertainment league! https://ublawsportsforum.com/2023/02/21/the-nfl-isnt-rigged-but-this-is-how-they-would-do-it-and-why/#:~:text=The NFL must follow its, hold match fixers legally accountable.
  3. Maybe it's just me, I love them. Also, anyone saying their are done with this team because of a new uniform is big C crazy.
  4. Poyer to the practice squad? I'll bet Coleman will have a swivel on his head in practice...
  5. My gripe is not about a cut but rather one we kept. With Hawes being such a good blocker do we really need to waste a roster sport on Gillam. Many teams don't keep a FB anymore, I would train that kid up for the lead blocker role and then *poof* TE3/FB is one position and we have another roster spot for DE depth (especially after week 6 suspensions are lifted).
  6. Well he did play at a similar level to the Bills practice squad last year...as a starter for the Dolphins, lol
  7. So approach any GM in the league to build a team from scratch and ask them "You get to pick Josh or Tua to build around as your first pick..." and see what they all say. Tua is ok, but this type of cherry picking is a bit much...
  8. I agree assumptions are dangerous and there are lots of definitions of intelligence. But my gosh 13 is not good...even if we account for bias in these type tests...yikes 🥺
  9. Hilarious. Let's get revenge on the team that's never won a championship (since the merger), nor really been more successful that us (Ravens) for the past decade. All while KC just grins sheepishly in the background. How about you knock off Sideshow Bob in KC first?
  10. You could tell he had the Bills game marked on his calendar. That wasn't the only play, you could tell it was personal for him. I understand, it's hard to get cut from a team after everything he did, but I think he crossed the line.
  11. Coleman might disagree. https://www.google.com/search?q=poyer+hit+on+coleman&rlz=1C1GCEA_enCA961CA961&oq=poyer+hit+on+&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCAgBEAAYFhgeMgYIABBFGDkyCAgBEAAYFhgeMggIAhAAGBYYHjIICAMQABgWGB4yCAgEEAAYFhgeMggIBRAAGBYYHjIICAYQABgWGB4yCAgHEAAYFhgeMgcICBAAGO8FMgoICRAAGIAEGKIE0gEJNDc4MmowajE1qAIIsAIB8QVCxJrrasTk_Q&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:1015b238,vid:hvR1LjWFgYU,st:0
  12. It's like groundhog day, same dam n thing as last summer!
  13. Hard to compare sport to sport, but I've been an amateur boxer for 10 years and have been coaching the past two. Interesting to hear the parallels, I honestly thought the "deep water" reference was primarily a boxing reference (we say you 'take you opponent out to deep water and drown them' to mean increase your punch rate and cardio until your opponent can no longer adequately defend themselves). Sounds like wrestling is similar to boxing, in that it teaches you to adapt and think on your feet when things go awry.
  14. All I can think of when I see this is... "just give it to them"
  15. The NFL is an entertainment league. https://www.primerus.com/article/nfl-attempts-convince-supreme-court-its-teams-are-not-competitors-except-playing-field Do you yell at the outcomes of these events?
  16. I get it, I think blaming the refs is low hanging fruit...but I think Bills the fans deserve a 48-hour grace period given how much this one stings. Personally I don't think blown calls cost us the game, but I don't understand the 4th down spot. The reception I kinda get as the ball did not move, but I really hate how the linesman (for the 4th down spot) at the top just caved (given he likely had the clearer point of view).
  17. I know, I was fixing it for him 😛
  18. It seems with the amount of titillation you are getting from others pain, that your box of Kleenex might be spoken for.
  19. As an extension of this fantasy...I kept wondering if Allen and Mahones swap teams, what would be the result? Josh, might not want to swap back.
  20. Like this? Dude get through the anthem, pfft. Never seen a guy cry so much while winning. Imagine if he were a Buffalo Bill!
  21. Women and winning...are a powerful incentive.
  22. What makes zero sense to me is the fact that the league doesn't make anyone coming back from concussion protocol wear the helmet sock. Benford collided with Hamlin and you could see he had it, why the heck would Benford not wear one, seems so obvious and easy.
  23. Everyone is only thinking terms of age. While Josh has a great attitude, I gotta think another year or two of this and the attraction of LA (vis-à-vis) his fiancé will start to weigh in. My prediction, if Josh hits 30 and loses two more times to KC, he's going to start thinking about his legacy. In that scenario he could move to LA to be with his fiance/wife, and also move to the NFC with maybe an easier path to the SB. By then, having lost to KC 6 times in the playoffs, who could blame him...
