Beane has to do 3 things well this offseason for the Bills to have a good chance to win the Super Bowl. 1. Improve the OL. Everyone knows it's been said a billion times on this message board. 2. Get an #2 WR 3. Plug in the holes on D as we are probably losing Edmunds and Poyer.

2023 Yankees thread.........Domingo German pitches perfect game
Gregg replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in Off the Wall
Unless they have to deal with serious injuries the Yanks will be back in the postseason. Can they get past the Astros is the real question? -
I would remove Frazier from your PRO list and add him to your CON list. Any DC who can't protect a 3-point lead with 13 seconds left goes on the CON list every time. Especially when the other team starts that drive at their own 25.

They need to dominate at home say something like 7-2 or better because that road schedule is killer. Games at KC, CIN, and PHIL. WTF. Road games at NYJ and MIA won't be easy either.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Gregg replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar should have taken the 250M/133M guaranteed. -
I hope you weren't around in 1984, 1985. You want to talk depressing times being a Bills fan back then was miserable. Back-to-back 2-14 seasons. The Bills will be fine. They won 13 games last year and Allen is the best QB in the division. Beane does have some work to do fixing the weaknesses on the roster, but they should still be a playoff team. They will probably win the division again even though the Fins and Jets (if they get a QB) will challenge them.

Josh Allen can definitely do that. Mahomes has a good OL and Allen doesn't. That's the difference.
-
Build the OL and get another playmaker at WR to go opposite Diggs. The D will probably lose Poyer and Edmunds. They will get back Hyde. Hope Tre can get back to his elite level of play. Have to see how FA and the draft play out but the pressure is definitely on Beane. They don't need a rebuild but more of a retooling as they did win 13 games last year. Need to build around Josh like the Chiefs do around Mahomes. Was the Chiefs D really that great last year? They have Jones and they are a decent D but definitely not elite. They still won the Super Bowl.

The Islanders winning last night didn't help. The Sabres do have 6 games in hand on them but are now 7 points back. Would have to go 4-2 to make it up with their games in hand. Can't have too many more games where they **** the bed like they did against the Leafs.

OJ 2,003 yards in 14 games. The real rushing record. Sorry Eric.

Before my time but what about the 1964 & 1965 Buffalo Bills. Two-time AFL champions and the only Buffalo team between the Bills and Sabres to win it all.

QB Carr to visit the Jets (Update: signed with the Saints)
Gregg replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFL on ESPN on Twitter: "Derek Carr's visit with the Jets on Monday went 'really well' 👀🗽 "[The Jets] made it super personal too, they said 'We believe if you come to New York and win, you could be a first ballot Hall of Famer.'" — @diannaESPN https://t.co/eyBpLR8HRB" / Twitter -
Jones I could see getting 25M - 30M per year. I wouldn't go higher. He wants 45M per year and that is just crazy. He will still get a big pay day. The Giants can place the tag on him if they can't work out a deal. That is also a lot of money for an RB but Barkley was the main focus of their offense so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I wouldn't mind Barkley on the Bills but not at the price he is asking for.

A REPORTER THINKS Packers are "done with Rodgers"
Gregg replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't count on Breece for next year. Didn't he have the same injury Barkley had? When he came back it took him 2 years to get back to his elite level of play which we saw last season. I expect a 3-team fight in the AFCE with the Pats coming in last. -
Looking more likely that Barkley will test FA. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "#Giants RB Saquon Barkley is now considered likely to hit free-agency There is still a “gap” in negotiations between the team and Barkley, per @nypost Giants arent likely to pay Saquon more than $12.5M a year and have "little interest" in placing the $10.1M franchise tag on him https://t.co/W0QE5tMO5A" / Twitter

At what sports event did you have your worst experience?
Gregg replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
I was at Giants Stadium for this one. Fights all over the place. This was the game that stopped alcohol sales at halftime. 4. Oct. 17, 1988 — Bills 37, Jets 14 The “Pumpkin Game” featured 41 incidents of improper behavior in the stands, 15 arrests and 56 ejections. Fans burned complimentary paper hats in the stands and batted around an inflated pumpkin. This game led to the stadium halting beer sales after halftime during night games. -
OT…Daniel Jones about to be a very very rich man
Gregg replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe the Giants pay it, but they still have to sign Barkley. Didn't former GM Dave Gettleman leave them in salary cap hell that Schoen has been trying to get out of. I think the Giants will put the tag on him if a deal can't be worked out, so I don't see Jones going anywhere else. -

The Broncos did win a Super Bowl with Manning. Although he was carried by the defense as his skills had declined at that point. Carr is only 31 so he is still in his prime. Last year he threw for 3,522 yards with 24 TD's and 14 INT's. To compare that Wilson threw for 1,688 yards with 6 TD's and 7 INT's. White threw for 1,192 yards with 3 TD's and 4 INT's. Carr is a big upgrade for them. Although they do need to improve their OL just like the Bills. Last year both games were tough, hard-fought games. I expect it will be the same this coming season. Overall, their roster is pretty good. The Bills will have competition with the Jets and Dolphins for the AFCE. -

The Allen contract is going to look better as the years go by. Wait until Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, Hurts get their big pay day. -

Even 35M is high IMHO but we will see how this plays out. -

Burrow, Herbert, Hurts, Lawrence. All of them will cash in bigtime. No way is Jones worth 45M. I could see 25M or 30M tops but not 45M per.
