  1. Looks like Rivers wants to come out of retirement. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Retired NFL QB Philip Rivers has expressed desire to return to the NFL. He already contacted the #49ers and #Dolphins about coming out of retirement late in the 2022 season, according to @richeisen https://t.co/aEfLAF8iDl" / Twitter
  2. https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/artic...zz/23-most-interesting-things-i-heard-combine 3. As long as we are talking big-name quarterbacks, despite all the rumors of Derek Carr going to the Jets, one thing that held that up was that Jets owner Woody Johnson really wants Aaron Rodgers. So, the staff has had to be supportive of that. However, secretly, the rest of the team's front office wanted Derek Carr. Now that Carr is reportedly signing with New Orleans, the Jets are in “Hoping for Rodgers” mode. If that doesn't work out… who knows? When Woody Johnson gets involved in the Jets day to day business activities then it means great things for the Bills, Dolphins, and Pats.
  3. I can't wait to see the next contact for Burrow and Herbert. The Allen contract is looking better and better as these deals get done.
  4. Take comfort Sabres fans. Maybe they make the playoffs this year and maybe they won't but... Buffalo is going to be good for a very long time. Jack Quinn seems to be the real deal. Cozens, Krebs, Jost all first rd, young guys flourishing down the middle. That’s before mentioning Tuch or Thompson or Dahlin or Powers. Plus young high end role players like middlestat, peterka, ollofson, samuelson. KO and Skinner who have been great. Not sure about the depth on D but this team is stacked for the future nonetheless.
  5. Ian Rapoport on Twitter: "The #Saints & Derek Carr agreed on a 4-yr deal for $150M with $100M in total guarantees, per me & @MikeGarafolo. He gets $70M effectively fully guaranteed ($60M at signing, another $10M in Year 3 vesting after Year 1). Carr structures his deal to accommodate Saints’ cap issues. https://t.co/vs6qaBh7rg" / Twitter
  6. If anything, he probably is more likely to be unhappy with the coaching staff than with Allen. McDermott and Dorsey most likely assuming he is unhappy at all with the organization. The playoff failures have been frustrating to watch.
  7. Maybe Rodgers goes there and this all blows up in the Jets faces. I will feel "so bad" if it does
  8. Have to figure GB's asking price went up bigtime now that Carr is off the market.
  9. No not yet. The Jets are going all in for him. Either JD knows he has a deal with Rodgers and that's why they didn't pursue Carr, or this will blow up in their faces.
  10. Rich Cimini on Twitter: "As @JFowlerESPN notes on @GetUpESPN, #Jets still involved with Rodgers, but contract ($59M in ‘23) is a roadblock. Sounds like they want GB to eat some money. FWIW: AR said in late January he’d be willing to adjust contract. Everything is negotiable - contract, draft comp." / Twitter
  11. I wonder if the Jets will try to work out a trade with the Ravens for LJ. Although the Ravens do have the option to franchise him if they want. If the Jets miss on Rodgers, then they are screwed.
  12. I feel the same way about Crosby/Malkin with the Pens. Both are in their mid 30's but it seems like they have been playing hockey forever.
  13. Ian Rapoport on Twitter: "The #Saints are giving their new QB Derek Carr a 4-year deal, source said. With a big QB number coming, they'll make it work with their cap situation." / Twitter
  14. Jimmy G, Baker, Tannehill, Brissett. I could see someone from this group. I can't see them going with White/Wilson.
  15. I wonder if Love asks for a trade if this happens. I thought GB was ready to move on to the JL era.
  16. If Carr signs with NO and Rodgers either retires or goes to someone besides the Jets, then I am going to laugh my ass off. Especially if they have to go with White or Wilson next year. The Jets fans calling up WFAN will be fun to listen too. The fanbase will go full blown nuclear if they strikeout on Rodgers or Carr.
  17. The year of 13 seconds was it. I don't think they need a complete rebuild as they did win 13 games but a retool is in order. Beane needs to improve the OL and get more weapons for Allen. I expect the defense will regress most likely but if they can improve the offense then they should be able to compete with the Chiefs/Bengals as well as hold off any challenge from the Dolphins/Jets within the division. My hope is the defense can at least be in the top 10-12 range.
  18. Two big games coming up. Tonight, vs the Oilers and McDavid. Tomorrow at the Isles. The one bad thing about the Isles game is the Sabres will be playing 3 in 4 while the Isles are rested.
  19. I have had DirecTv since 2001. Only reason was the NFL Sunday ticket. Now I will have to get you tube TV since they now have the Sunday ticket. I am a Bills fan who lives in NJ so it's the only way I can see the Bills unless they play the Jets/Giants or it's a primetime game.
  20. Just like the Bills they have to fix their OL. I am not sure they can count on Breece this year. It took Barkley a couple of years to regain his old form from the same injury. Their D while not great is solid. I think they have good WR's. Carr isn't elite but he isn't bad either IMHO. A definite upgrade over what they have. I expect both games against them to be tough, physical games that will be competitive. Just like both games were last year.
  21. Jeremy Fowler on Twitter: "While the #Panthers and #Saints remain in the conversation for Derek Carr, the former Pro Bowl quarterback has a slight lean toward the #Jets as his next home as of now, per source. Nothing is final, but Jets -- who are linked to Aaron Rodgers -- have made an impression." / Twitter
  22. Even with the Rams willing to pay a portion of the salary can the Bills still do this cap wise?
  23. Marino would be another good comparison although he did play in one Super Bowl.
  24. Most of the 70's and 1984-85 were horrible. Add to that the 17 straight seasons of no playoffs. If there was ever a fanbase that deserves a championship (Super Bowl or Cup) it's this one.
  25. Lou Saban coached the Bills to B2B AFL championships in 1964 and 1965. The only championships in Bills history. Until a Bills coach can actually win a Super Bowl then Lou remains #1. IMHO.
