I don't know who has worn 17 for the Bills in the past but I am pretty confident that no Bills player will ever wear 17 in the future. Josh will have his number retired just like 12,34 and 78 did.

Here in NJ the talk is the Giants are fielding offers for Winston as they like what they have seen from Dart. If the Bills think he would be a better backup QB, then Trubisky and White then the Bills should call the Giants and see if something can be worked out.
-
I could see that happening. Both Daboll and Schoen need the Giants to start winning games this season and show real improvement from last season. If not, then I expect the Giants to clean house and have a new GM and HC for 2026.

Just remember those Super Bowl teams of the early 90's with Levy usually sucked in the preseason and they still went on to have great regular seasons and get back to the Super Bowl. My optimism for the season hasn't changed at all despite these games against the Giants and Bears. I expect the following to happen. 1. The Bills will win the AFCE and quite possibly the #1 seed as the overall schedule isn't that tough. 2. If they don't get the #1 seed, I expect the Bills will play at home on WC weekend and they will win. 3. Getting by the Ravens or Chiefs in the divisional round which is who I expect the Bills will face is real question. We know they can beat Baltimore in the playoffs. Done it twice but KC as of right now is different story.

One Thing No One Is Talking About Regarding Last Night's GameGregg replied to MPL's topic in The Stadium Wall Well, the Bills have lost two "important" games these past 2 weeks. The Bills 2025 season is officially over. So, it's either baseball (Yankees of course) or talk Sabres hockey

Still Dart is going to have to show it in a regular season game. But I do think he has a good chance to be the backup to Wilson this year.

One Thing No One Is Talking About Regarding Last Night's GameGregg replied to MPL's topic in The Stadium Wall The Yankees sweeping the Cards was nice. I don't think they are catching the Blue Jays, but they are getting some separation in the WC race. Let's Go Yankees.

Dart has looked good but its preseason. Remember Nate Peterman also looked good in preseason and then we saw what he looked like in a real game. I am not saying Dart won't be a good QB in the future. Let's see him do it in a regular season game against the other team's starting defense who will actually be game planning for him. It doesn't matter anyway as Wilson will be the starting QB for them.

Week one will be a great test. The Ravens are about as physical a football team as there is in the league.

Another one - Trey Hendrickson asks for a trade from CincyGregg replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/report-colts-among-teams-to-have-shown-interest-in-trading-for-bengals-trey-hendrickson/ar-AA1KGy8I?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=b6abc6cd6a6c4b4e82f6b33e6a7947c8&ei=15

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?Gregg replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall I might be wrong about this, but I don't think Beane has the power to fire McDermott. The same applies to McDermott firing Beane. Terry said both men report to him when they were hired. I think Terry is the only one who has the power to fire either of them.
-
Even if the Bills did play the starters they wouldn't show anything in this game. The Bills and Bucs also play in the regular season.
-
Didn't the Bills lose to the Bears 33-6 in last year's preseason game. Maybe the Bills should stop playing them in preseason. The Bears treat these games like regular season games when the Bills treat them for what they are MEANINGLESS.

What one player acquired in a trade would guarantee a championship?Gregg replied to RangerDave's topic in The Stadium Wall Bill Belichick. He would build a defense that would actually make a stop in a big spot which is something that never happens in McDermott land.

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?Gregg replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Wait until next week when they play the Bucs. These teams meet in the regular season, so I expect both teams to have a very "vanilla" game plan for this one.

Nice three game sweep of the Cards. The Yanks are starting to open up some breathing room in the WC race. I don't know if they can catch the Blue Jays but hopefully, they can keep playing good baseball and get into the playoffs. Go Yanks!

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?Gregg replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall I will start caring about wins and losses starting Sept 7th. All I care about right now is the Bills get out of these games with no injuries.
-
Why are the Bills and Bucs playing this preseason since they will meet in the regular season. Expect both teams to show nothing since they will meet for real.
-
If Terry cleaned house, then it would be a problem as he would be the one leading the search for the next GM/HC. But if he fired only McDermott then it would be Beane leading the search for the next HC as he would be Terry's #1 football man in the Bills organization. Beane has never had the chance to hire his own HC as he came here after McDermott. We don't know how he would do when it came to hiring a HC.
-
What about Danny White. He had a pretty good career with the Cowboys after Staubach retired but never got them to a Super Bowl.

With the season on the line Cook wouldn't be going out there to block. Try to get him involved in the passing game where he gets the ball in open spaces. Then he is a threat to take it to the house. On that drive Cook should have been out there and the Bills should have been trying to get him the ball as much as possible. That was a dumb move by McDermott to keep him on the bench on that final drive.
