The Bills always seem to be in for a tough battle with the Jets at MetLife. If the Bills lose to the Ravens, I bet many here will think they will kill the Jets next week. They won't. I bet between 3:30 - 4:00 on Sunday afternoon that game will still be in doubt and the Bills will be challenged to avoid going 0-2. They will probably win but it will be close. Hopefully the Bills can beat the Ravens and go there 1-0.

At some point you would think the players would start tuning him out especially if they lose to the Chiefs for the 5th time in 6 years during the playoffs. The Eagles eventually moved on from Reid and it worked out well for both parties going forward. The same thing may have to happen in Buffalo. How many years can players keeping hearing the same message with no results to show for it before they tune the coach's message out.

Terry Pegula said when they were hired that both men have equal power and report to him. Neither one of them is the boss of the other.

What about Beane? The WR's and TE's are average. The OL is solid but from the skill positions its Allen and Cook who are the top playmakers. Shakir is a good WR and would make an excellent #3 and a good #2 but he shouldn't be the Bills #1 WR. We all know about the problems with the defense. Beane spent all offseason trying to strengthen this side of the ball. McDermott deserves his share of the blame for the playoff failures, but Beane is the GM, and he put this roster together. The Bills have an elite level QB with a good but not great roster.

10 wins won't get them the #1 seed. They probably will need 12 or 13 for that. I think the only way this team has a shot at getting to the Super Bowl is if all their playoff games are played in OP and they get WC weekend off. I don't want a playoff game at Arrowhead or Baltimore. The chances the Bills win there in the playoffs are not good. The Bills have the best homefield advantage in the NFL, they need to take advantage of that come playoff time.

If they beat the Astros tonight they will. Have to check my phone for a score as tonight the TV will be on the Cowboys and Eagles.

I was at this one. This was one crazy night at Giants Stadium. The famous pumpkin game. 4. Oct. 17, 1988 — Bills 37, Jets 14 The “Pumpkin Game” featured 41 incidents of improper behavior in the stands, 15 arrests and 56 ejections. Fans burned complimentary paper hats in the stands and batted around an inflated pumpkin. This game led to the stadium halting beer sales after halftime during night games.

I wonder why they haven't brought back the blue over white throwbacks. I hope they do that for at least one game at the new stadium next year.
-
Last year at the current stadium they should wear blue over white for every home game. They already announced two home games where they are wearing white. The rivalry uniform vs the Pats and the white throwbacks vs the Bucs. But every other home game including the playoffs should be blue over white. No need for the POS looking all blues and reds.

Jets RG Alijah-Vera-Tucker dealing with serious arm injury

They want to be a run heavy team this year. Stopping Breece is job #1 for the defense. -
Jets RG Alijah-Vera-Tucker dealing with serious arm injury

I don't like to see anybody get hurt either. Unfortunately, injuries happen to every team every year. -

I am nervous about that game. They do suck but they always get up for the Bills and give them a hard time at MetLife. The Bills are 1-2 in their last three trips there. In last year's 23-20 Bills win the Jets missed two FG's and an extra point. The Bills probably win but I bet it won't be easy. -
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46145896/sources-jets-alijah-vera-tucker-significant-arm-injury He is arguably their best OL, so this is a big blow to a team that is facing a tough season. Good for the Bills when they play them in week 2.

ESPN predicts Bills win Super Bowl…and I agree
Gregg replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not too much Bills love here. Most have the Ravens representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/2025-nfl-predictions-super-bowl-champion-mvp-biggest-surprise-disappointment-team-who-picks-no-1-and-more/ar-AA1LNBpv?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=68b84e4653ed4ca486eaeba6a2a557de&ei=13 -
I think the one big difference is Bill would provide Allen with a better defense to help him. Brady had a good D with him in NE. In the McDermott era I can think of two games where the Bills defense played well in the playoffs. The time they broke the streak and went to Jacksonville in the WC game but lost 10-3 with Tyrod Taylor as QB. The other time was the covid playoff game against the Ravens with 6,700 fans only allowed in the stadium. They shut down Jackson and Ravens highlighted by the 100-yard pick 6. Outside of those two games I can't recall a game where the D was good in the playoffs. It's the main reason the Bills haven't gotten to a Super Bowl.

Good win last night at Houston. Only 2.5 back of the Jays with them coming to NY this weekend. I love this time of year. Football is starting with another Bills season to watch. The MLB pennant races are exciting to watch, and the NHL season will be starting soon. Let's Go Bills and Let's Go Yankees.

For the record I don't hate McDermott. Bill's problem with NE was his role as GM which he sucked at. But he can coach. He doesn't belong in college football. IMHO. I do think he would do better with Allen, and this Bills roster than McDermott. Compare Bill and Sean records when both have had an elite level QB. Nothing personal against Sean but he is not even remotely close to Bill as a HC. The records and championships or lack of championships proves that.

Week 1, Nevermores v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Gregg replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hopefully Henry starts showing his age. He has a lot of miles on him for an RB. He has also taken and given a lot of hits/punishment over the years and that has to catch up to him at some point. -
Wow the difference with Brady and without is huge. 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗘 𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗟𝗦𝗘: Bill Belichick is the greatest coach of all time. Bill's record: - Without Brady (84-103) - With Brady (249-75) 🧐 pic.twitter.com/SwXB95gwfa — Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) September 2, 2025 I would still take Bill over McDermott as HC as his record with an elite level QB is very impressive. Granted Brady is the GOAT, but Allen is a lot closer to Brady than Mac Jones.

Per Rich Cimini they are expecting Steeler fans to takeover MetLife Stadium on Sunday. Bills fans will take it over in week 2. Not that we need another reason to laugh at the Jets but LOL. Opening day at home and the crowd will be 50-50 at best or mostly Steeler fans. The @VividSeats fan forecast projects 48% of MetLife Stadium will be Steelers fans on Sunday against the #Jets. If accurate, wow. — Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) September 2, 2025
