Agree. I think if you asked Bills fans to name the Bills top rivals most would have the Jets at #3. I am keeping this in the division, so I am not counting the Chiefs or Ravens who are right now the Bills top conference rivals. Older Bills fans who remember the 70's and the 20-game losing streak as well as the battles with Kelly-Marino would list the Dolphins as the #1 rival. Younger fans would probably have the Pats #1 because of all of the losses (many were blowout losses) during the Bill and Tom era.

I don't know about that. The Bills and Dolphins have met in the playoffs recently and they did battle for the division on that final game of the year in Miami not that long ago. The problem with the Bills and Jets rivalry is both teams are rarely good at the same time. Only one playoff game between them and that was the 1981 WC game at Shea.

Any fanbase that is led by this clown deserves to be hated.

I honestly think this will be the hardest game for the Bills until they start playing the top contenders. If the Bills can win this, they will probably go on a long winning streak. But most games at the Meadowlands the Bills usually find themselves in a battle. I do expect the Bills to destroy the Dolphins 4 days later after this game. The Bills can get two divisional wins over 4 days, but this one will be the harder one to win. IMHO.

Started playing against each other since 1960. So, this rivalry is 65 years old and counting. Granted it's probably not as intense as it should be as they have only met in the playoffs once. If both teams are ever good at the same time and they start battling for the division or meeting in the playoffs then this rivalry will really heat up. You have the NY-NY thing even though the Jets play in NJ. Bills fans and Jets live in the same state. At some point in NY Bills territory becomes Jets-Giants territory and vice versa depending on if you are heading to Orchard Park or East Rutherford.

I can't see the Ravens losing to the Jets at home. -

I also have a hard time believing there could be a letdown against a divisional rival. Every game is important, but the divisional games have extra importance since these are the games you have to win to win the division.

He did win the first "Himmy" award for this season on MNF. So, he has that going for him right now

What about GB? Sure, it was only week 1 but they looked really good in beating the Lions.

Nearly three days after that instant classic I have further thoughts…

Even if Lamar was cramping you still have Henry who was having an outstanding game. If I were Harbaugh I would have gone for it. Last thing I would want to do is give the ball back to Allen who was on fire in the 4th quarter. Lucky for us Harbaugh punted and the rest is history. -

KC is also in real danger of going 0-2. The Eagles at Chiefs is the national game on Sunday at 4:25. Even though its in Arrowhead this will still be a very tough game for the Chiefs. Throw in the fact that the division looks stronger and the days of them dominating the AFCW are probably over. That doesn't mean they can't win the division but for the 1st time in a long time they will be challenged for it. -

I would say the Eagles will present the same type of challenge. Overall solid team. Barkley will probably run for 1,000 yards in this game alone. Good QB and receivers. The Bills will need at least 30 and probably more to come away with the win. -

A few Random Thoughts After the Ravens Game
Gregg replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oliver causing Henry to fumble might have been the most important play in a series of plays that started the comeback. I give the defense and Oliver specifically credit for that. Hopefully they can get better as the year moves along. Have to think Beane will try to improve the defense if there is anyone he can bring here. -
While the Bills had the big win over the weekend the Yankees also had a good weekend taking 2 of 3 from the Blue Jays. Only 2 games back of first place with a tough series starting tonight vs the Tigers. Let's Go Yankees.

A few Random Thoughts After the Ravens Game

That play was so close. He barely touched the goal line but good thing because I don't think the Bills comeback if they were pinned inside the 1. -
Jets this Sunday and 4 days later the Dolphins on Thursday night. The Bills have an opportunity to win two divisional games over a 4-day period. This would put them in a great position to control the AFCE if they can do this. I personally think they will blowout the Dolphins at home, but this Jets game is going to be a tough one.
