  1. Maybe I am wrong then. Either way the Bears totally gutted that defense and I'd like to think the Bills know a thing or two about defending mobile QBs, considering we have one and have always done a decent job of locking down Lamar.
  2. I think the Chargers are even less equipped to walk into Buffalo and win in the cold. Dolphins defense can get after it. Chargers cannot. Bills match up better against the Chargers offense than the Dolphins. Herbert aside.
  3. # 1 Seed will matter for three reasons in my opinion. 1. The obvious which is a bye week and an extra week to get healthy. 2. Avoiding the Chiefs and Bengals in Round 2. 3. That 2nd seed is going to end up playing either Miami or the Jets. The last two teams id want to face in Round 1. The Jets have the best defense in the AFC and can cause problems for any offense. The Dolphins can catch lightning in a bottle and take off at any point and have a dline that can get after the QB. Neither team has the horses to make a Superbowl run, but both sure as heck can steal a game vs. anyone in the AFC.
  4. I'll say this. Given the idiotic simplicity of what is main stream sports media the Chiefs are not overhyped. After this weekend all you'll hear is how Buffalo barely beat a Florida team in the snow and how a one win team took the Chiefs to OT. The true overhyped team is the Bengals. They will now be seen as the AFC favorite. All week we are going to hear about how Burrow came back to beat the Great Tom Brady and that the Bengals are the defending AFC Champion.
  5. I think when you're as good as the Bills the expectations coincide with it. We all so badly want a Superbowl and we all know this might be our best chance at one. I also think we need to truly appreciate this winning streak. No team this season has a more impressive five game stretch of wins than the Bills. Browns were during a snowstrorm with no practice and a last second venue change. Lions are the hottest team in the NFL. This is followed by winning three straight division games. To win three straight division games this late in the season is brutally hard. Its that much harder when all the divisional opponents are 500 or better.
  6. Not sure what a Bengals loss means besides I guess we should at worst be 2nd. Man I hate the Chiefs final three games. Let's hope the Raiders hatred for the Chiefs truly runs deep.
  7. I'm cheering for the Dolphins to win their remaining games and finish with the 5th seed and for the Jets to lose out. I want nothing to do with those two teams if we end up 2nd or 3rd. Things just get too weird with divisional opponents unless its the Patriots because that offense is awful. Give me a world where the Ravens, Chargers, or Patriots come to Buffalo Week 1.
  8. When everyone was writing about your funeral for trading Tyreek Hill? Yes you do! Or do you forget the the gauntlet that was supposed to be Russell Wilson, Josh McDaniel and Devante Adams, and the Super Duper Chargers? I will admit their schedule leaves alot to be desired and I am not sure just how good they actually are. They were lucky and played the Niners when 3 quarters of their defense was injured. No Eli Mitchell and CMC was literally traded that week and caught the Chargers in their 2nd game at the peak of their injuries. Looking at their schedule, and their best win was Week 2 vs the Chargers at home on a Thursday. Read into that as much as you would like.
  9. Are they overhyped? Yes in comparison to the Chiefs of the past few years, they are. They are also one of the healthiest teams this season and haven't really hit adversity. No in that Mahomes is more than capable of taking that team to a Superbowl Victory. Have to give them credit. Everyone was talking about how amazing the AFC West would be and questioning if the Chiefs would even win that division. All they've done is motor along and continue to dominate the Raiders, Chargers, and Broncos. ChiefsPlanet vulgarity aside, it isnt a particularly knowledgeable fanbase from what I've read there. They only know surface level statistics and seem to ride and die on that when down playing anything related to the Bills, Bengals, or Chargers.
  10. Nah. They've looked like this for a long time. Suspect defense that isn't getting a decent rush from their dline. Mahomes has to go All-Pro every game for them to win. Late in the season we are slowly seeing how important Tyreek Hill was to that offense. As the nicks and bruises start to add up, and teams tendencies become more and more exposed the football becomes less about systems and more about who can ball out. Chiefs are dangerous but no one is tilting that field like Hill used to.
  11. They'll win but everyone is ignoring the fact that the Chiefs have been struggling with a lot of pathetic opponents recently while placing the Bills under a constant microscope. Big difference between the Lions, Patriots, Jets, and Dolphins vs. the Rams, Broncos, Titans, Jaguars, and Texans.
  12. I agree the oline has been problematic. I also understand the thinking here by Beane. Bates came on like a gang buster last season and deserved a shot to start. He is also a natural left guard so I haven't given up on him as a starter. I hope he goes back there when Stafford is gone. Stafford is what he is. A highly regarded vet. who came to Buffalo on a sweetheart deal. Why wouldn't you roll that dice if you're Beane? He hasn't been amazing but he's been better than what the Bills have been lining up at guard the last few seasons. Either way interior guard is a day 2 pick in my opinion, if not a 1st round pick. Spencer Brown is the real question mark. It would feel too soon to cut bait from him but how much longer do you let him develop before he gets Josh Allen killed on the blindside? Tommy Doyle will be an interesting player to watch in camp next season. Beane needs to seriously address the offense next year and switch his ideology of going defense in the 1st round of the draft. 3 straight years of going RB in the first 3 rounds might catch up to us.
  13. Was he figured out or did Josh Allen and the oline get hurt and the Bills ran into superior teams? People are really downplaying Josh Allen's injury and also the fact the Bills basically didn't practice during the Vikings - Browns - Lions stretch which was followed by the Pats and Jets. Two top 5 defenses and a Miami defense with a nasty dline with two starting olinemen out.
  14. I think the frustration really boils down to the fact the Bills legit only have one scary weapon in Diggs and a very basic oline. Dorsey's play calling can be frustrating at times but honestly isn't that all OCs? I remember losing my mind at Daboll. Ita just annoying looking around the league and seeing the Bengals, Cowboys, Eagles, Niners, Dolphins with vastly superior weapons and the Chiefs with a vastly superior oline. 11 - 3 sounds pretty good though
  15. Its a combination of poor oline play. Josh Allen playing hero ball and forcing the ball downfield instead of taking the easy 5 to 8 yards. Davis being a # 3 receiver not a # 2. Mckenzie being a gadget player not a slot receiver. I think I'll hold back on outright critism considering Allen finally threw for over 300 yards again and 4 pass tds.
  16. Rest up and miss Chicago. 9 days between Bears and Bengals. Thats 16 days total. Hopefully he's healthy by then. This late in the season football is a war of attrition as much as execution. Health is key and the Bills don't have anymore injuries to spare to key players with Hyde and Von already done. Credit to the Chiefs. Outside the year where their oline was torn apart against Tampa in the Superbowl, they've always been a healthy roster.
  17. Sucks for Chicago. Green Bay and Buffalo are literally the only other franchises that won't care. Bills need to put a beat down on the Bears early and get the starters the heck off the field and rested for Cincinnati.
  18. Dawson Knox balled out today and Mckenzie look competent. Its really that simple for this offense to improve. Still wish Gabe Davis had more separation downfield and that Allen took a few more check downs instead of going for the throat each drive.
  19. I hope at this point anything Covid is in the rear-view mirror. It was just another stupid topic that further divided people.
  20. This is great. Guy has 4 games to get back in the swing of things and is well rested for the stretch run. I'm sure everyone will be excited to have him back and whatever happened last season is water under the bridge.
  21. Elam figuring out how to play corner in this defense is vitally more important to this defense than even Von Miller. Change my mind.
  22. Also completely ignored is the Bills have been dealing with Josh Allen's injured elbow, a snow storm that shut down practice for a week, a short week against a Lions team that's playing its best football of the season, and 3 road games in 12 days. Last week the Bills went ultra conservative offensively against a Patriots team that had no hope of scoring on our defense. This isn't 2020 or College football. The Bills don't need to go for style victories, just victories. Better question is what AFC playoff team would fair better against Buffalo in those conditions? The answer is outside maybe the Bengals, no one. The Jets are by far the best equipped AFC team to play in those weather conditions and they still lost by 8 points.
  23. 90% of this league would struggle to put up 20 points against the Jets in pristine conditions yet we are complaining about the offense in a brutally wet slippery day. I was at the game. The conditions made me remember why I want a roof over the stands in the new stadium.
  24. The offensive playmaker for this team where never superior talent outside Diggs. What will make the Bills forever special is Josh Allen scrambling ability and ability to extend plays. Watching the games the past few weeks it is imperative that we find a solid slot receiver with sure hands who can also attack the middle of the field.
