  1. Belichick's defense won Brady a few of those rings. It wasn't Brady that shut down the Rams in the 13-3 win. And I think you can argue Belichick's defense showed up in a few other Super Bowls where Brady and their offense didn't. The Patriot's dynasty was more defense than offense.
  2. My brother is at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. Took it from his text which he got from their local TV.
  3. My brother is at a hotel in the Inner Harbor. He says the weather is fine. The wind is essentially non-existent. They are expecting light rain on and off again tomorrow.
  4. 55 degrees. on and off again rain. 10 mph wind. Weather is a non-factor.
  5. I think this is the game where all the silly Lamar Jackson MVP talk finally goes away. It is quite laughable to make Josh Allen vs Lamar Jackson something like an Allen vs Mahomes game. Jackson is easy to shut down. The Dolphins figured him out in the 4th quarter of their game. Allen is very difficult to shut down because he can actually throw the ball like an elite QB. The love affair with Jackson is pretty ridiculous. Why everyone hypes Lamar and ignores Hurts is beyond me. Jalen Hurts is the MVP leader. Not Jackson. Jackson has thrown for a whopping 749 yards and only beaten the Jets and Pats, who are abysmal football teams. When Jackson had a chance to put away the Dolphins in the 4th quarter of their game, he was a no show. Outscored 28-3 in the 4th quarter.
  6. I think Lamar will be a good quarterback for years. I don't think he will fade away when he hits 30. I just don't think he is a top tier QB. I see why the Browns gave Watson the crazy money. He may be a terrible person, but I can see Watson playing with Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, and Herbert. I can never see Lamar playing at their level and beating them in playoff games. You can only go so far with Lamar and the Ravens front office seems to know this. He has the same ceiling as a Kurt Cousins. They are both 1-3 in the playoffs and are never going to string together 3 or 4 big wins against elite QB's.
  7. I think Lamar could have won the Super Bowl in the past. The league has made things too friendly for offenses. You have to be able to sling the ball with the Mahomes and Allen types. The game is just so much faster in the playoffs.
  8. No, he has been atrocious. 1-3 and a 68.3 rating is beyond awful. The real problem is they just don't score points in the playoffs. They average 13 points a game in his 4 playoff games.
  9. Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts is going to win the MVP. So let's hope the curse ends if Allen wins the MVP. Lamar Jackson isn't really in the discussion. He is not even a top 15 passing QB and the Ravens won't even with their division with that atrocious defense. The Ravens will be lucky to make the playoffs. My guess is they get in as a wild card and get blown out in round 1. Their defense is beyond bad.
  10. Lamar is never winning a Super Bowl. He doesn't have the game to win playoff games. That is why he is 1-3 in the playoffs. The Ravens have scored 3, 20, 12, and 17 points in his 4 playoff appearances. That is 13 points a game. That isn't taking you anywhere. His stats in the playoffs are atrocious. 3TD's with 5 INT. 68.3 rating. Guys like Mahomes and Allen have ratings of 105.7 and 106.6. Allen and Mahomes have combined to throw 42 TD's and 8 Interceptions. Lamar is a regular season guy whose game gets shut down when the speed of defenses accelerates. Lamar will likely be 1-4 in the playoffs after this season and it will only keep getting worse and worse each year.
  11. I don't mind if we lose. I just don't want to hear any excuses. I could care less about injuries and weather. Every team deals with both of those problems. The Bills need to win these games though. It is a lot easier to win a Super Bowl when you get the #1 seed.
  12. I am not talking about the players. I know the fans are always going to make excuses. My concern is the coach. 7 straight loses in close games. We always seem to have some excuse for his terrible decisions.
  13. No, he said the Bills fans blamed the team's meltdown for the loss. I am saying the Bills fans blame the loss on the coin-flip. I think the hardcore fans blame the meltdown. I think the average Bills fans thinks they were cheated by an unfair rule. I saw this article 1000x during the off-season. https://nypost.com/2022/01/24/chiefs-bills-shows-why-nfl-must-change-unfair-overtime-rule/
  14. Nonsense. The 13 second meltdown is the actual reason why they lost. The Bills fans now act like it was the coin-flip that cost them the game. If I hear one more Bills fan tell me how the NFL changed the rule because it was unfair to the Bills, I might throw up.
  15. This heat nonsense has to stop. It is ridiculous. Especially coming from the players. The Bills choked. Period. Look at the stats. They dominated the game. They didn't produce when it mattered. Our offense scored 3 points in the second half. That is a choke job. Bills 497 yards. Dolphins 212 yards. Bills 90 plays. Dolphins 39 plays. Time of Possession: Bills 40:40 Dolphins 19:20
  16. Von Miller has to step it up. I know he is here for the playoffs, but he needs to produce in these big games. The #1 seed and two games at Orchard Park in January is earned in games against teams like the Dolphins, Chiefs, Ravens, and Bengals.
  17. There is always an excuse with this team. If you have been a fan long enough you know exactly what I am talking about. Against the Chiefs it was the coin-flip. Against the Pats it was the wind. Against the Dolphins it was the heat. Then we have all the years of the Patriots are cheaters and the refs blew the call. It is ridiculous. Then everyone goes to the airport to meet them when they lose because the Bills have such great fans. Blah blah blah. How about no more excuses and win a championship. This team has a real problem winning close games. They have lost 7 in a row. They are 1-3 in the playoffs in close games. It is a culture of excuse makers. I hate the Patriots but I always respected Belichick and Brady. They don't have a list of excuses every time they lose a game.
  18. Last week it was the heat. This week the rain and wind. This is the NFL. That is what happens. I don't want to hear anything about the weather if the Bills lose. The Dolphins and Ravens play under the same conditions. This team and the fans have a habit of making excuses. Coin flip vs Chiefs. Wind vs Patriots. Heat and Injuries with Dolphins. Enough excuses. Championship teams don't make excuses.
  19. Only wind really matters in the NFL. Rain and 55 degrees with 10mph winds is a non-issue.
  20. There actually is very little oversight. Watchdog agencies are full of charities they can't evaluate because data is not provided. In fact, the US government can do very little to a charity that has 50% administrative costs as long as the charity shows where the money goes. It is up to the donor to figure it out. Some of the largest charities in America have very high administrative and fundraising costs with much of that money being spent with businesses that their family and friends operate. You have to be very careful. For example, where is all the data on Tua's foundation?
  21. This screams of made of story to get attention off the Tua situation.
  22. Why would Lamar be in the MVP discussion? Hurts and Allen dwarf him in terms of accomplishments. Lamar is not even close. That could change after this week, but right now Lamar is not even in the discussion except with talking heads on tv.
  23. Lamar didn't show up in the 4th quarter of the Dolphins game. If he had, Miami would never have gotten the ball back over and over and he might be in the MVP discussion. There is a love affair with Lamar and certain members of the media. The reality is that the MVP right now is 1) Jalen Hurts 2) Josh Allen. The rest are really not in the discussion. Hurts and Allen have the passing stats, the rushing stats and the quality wins. Lamar has the rushing stats. That is it. He is not even top 15 in passing and he does not have a single win over a good team. Jalen Hurts is the MVP right now.
  24. If you believe that you are incredibly gullible. People don't stumble like that because of their back. It was textbook gross motor instability with a neurological cause. In fact, it is highly unlikely Tua even remembers collapsing. The back excuse was obviously provided to him by some unethical people on the Dolphins staff. If it was a back injury that caused it, what did it miraculously go away in a few minutes?
  25. You seem to be confusing the salary of people who work for a charity with the administrative costs of a charity. They are two completely different things. An employee's salary, if the employee is working directly with the community, is not administrative costs. It is part of program delivery. Administrative costs and fundraising costs are where you run into problems. Lots of charities have friends and family members that get rich off fundraising and administrative costs. It is very common for foundations that distribute money to actual charities to have enormous administrative and fundraising costs and all they do is take in money and give it to other charities, who then have their own costs.
