  1. I don't want anything to do with Mallet anymore. I just am too worried about him being Ryan Leaf 2.0.
  2. Yeah, two things: I'll never forget the phrase when the expansion committee chairman said (paraphrase) "Buffalo is wonderful sports town, I just wish you had a few more people." and Rich blinking when the referenced that the expansion fee would be about 92 million dollars. ...and moving out of Buffalo to a place where the taxes are much less.
  3. For halftime, two words for you: Neil Diamond "We comin' to America... We comin' to America, TODAY!"
  4. Although I love the guy, my final prediction was that he would at least make the practice squad and be up with the team later in the season. so... ...yeah, we were right... ...buy us drinks. Still love him, still think he is NFL worthy, but we are going to be deep at WR next year and that might not bode well for him here.
  5. Great comment, ACor. I would love to do applause but sadly we do not have that emoticon.
  6. The thing is, KD, that even the guys that report on the NFL want to play along with it, as well. Does any reporter even have the balls to peel just one layer of the onion back on this?
  7. I agree, but no one is ever going to convince me that this guy came up with it on his own and wasn't instructed by hire-ups with the Jets. This seemed a classic "if you ever want to work in this league again you better fall on the sword" scenario.
  8. Actually, we did trade up and could have gotten Mangold, but he would have been gone had we stayed pat. Mangold would go a few picks after McCargo. Sorry that I responded too early before seeing this, Stl Bills, and thank you.
  9. Yeah, and didn't we trade up and get McCargo when we could have stayed pat and gotten Mangold?
  10. RIP, Cookie, and here's hoping you can go up on the wall.
  11. Agree, especially not in the rarefied air that some are talking about here.
  12. Stunning stat I read in this mornings Buf-News Dorkington: The Bucs had 10 rookies start games this year, and they have a winning record...crazy, and they have a second year QB who is cutting his teeth quite nicely in the NFL, as well as he was when finishing his rookie year. What a path that franchise is on.
  13. Considering the ridiculous s*** sandwiches the city of Buffalo is forced to eat from the national media; whether be putting up the difference in temperatures during dolphin games...for no reason whatsoever, or every, single announcer or color commentator referring to Buffalo's whether, even when games aren't being played here, to listen to how tough those fans are in philly as they can't handle 5 (or 7) inches of snow. ...yeah, we got a little bit of an ax to grind.
  14. John said a lot right there and that is absolutely what it seemed like...and I highly doubt it was our imagination, there seemed generally perplexed on how exactly to do that last year.
  15. I'm so stupid. I read the thread topic quickly and didn't understand why i got through a paragraph and still had yet to read anything about Larry Felser. I'm not kidding you...man what a knucklehead.
  16. Holy crap, I'm not kidding you, I can't stop laughing. Thank you aj.
  17. Thoner, that is the real reason I wanted the Jets to lose to the Steelers this past weekend; b/c i wanted their last game of the season against the Bills to mean something.
  18. I'm not doubting you, Doc, but a fact is fact and that "placebo" worked...some how.
  19. I'll go a step farther on this DC; Mark Kelso should be talking about this. He should be writing articles and making himself available to give interviews with respect to what this meant for his career and life. He should not wait around for people (ESPN, WGR, or 97 rock) to ask him. He should be forcing his opinion on them with respect to this subject.
  20. I'll state what i have been stating for years now; why are these guys not wearing the Mark Kelso Kazzoo helmet. It doesn't look cool enough for you? You'd rather have the concussions? Kelso went from 4-6 concussions in the first few years of his career to 1 in the remainder with the Kazzoo. This is ridiculous...they can stop this, they really can.
  21. Yeah, that and the fact that it is not Butler, Reed, Moulds, but Bucky Brooks who holds the record.
