  1. I hear ya, K-9, but I don't really have a good answer. I know he has value that is why I think he will get a multi-year 7 figure deal and he may never get hurt again. However, there is the likelihood that he becomes like the FA OLinemen that we signed for multi-year 7-8 figure deals that only turned into great disappointments. ...or as noted above, what Jennings turned out to be for S.F., but that was due to injury.
  2. Agreed, I remember Erik Dickerson wanting to be here badly when things were turning around in the late 80s.
  3. Agreed, AD. Additionally, even given his injuries I think in the open market he is going to fetch 3 plus million dollars a season. ...seriously, good for him, but I think it is just too rich for what he would bring to the table if we wanted him back. EDIT: BTW, Bell, should you get that money I hope you stick that in your father's face and tell him, "I didn't need you before, and I don't need you now...so don't all of sudden start to claim, 'there's my boy' you jerk."
  4. Ohhhhh I love Wilson. I actually thought that would be a nice pick up in the last couple of weeks but I had no idea it what round he might go. I'd love to get him in the 4th.
  5. Very much this. Even in the Super Bowl years the rumors/inside baseball were that he was tough to work for and with.
  6. Geez crayonz you almost had me. I mean almost started typing...and then I checked to see who the OP was.
  7. My 2nd favorite team has always been the Packers (going back 30 years) so, yeah, it is going to be easy for me to still enjoy the season. ...and I just can't get enough of Tebow. I watched the first comeback last year, live. I have caught everything since. I mean for crying' out loud it is like watching a movie.
  8. hmmm...If you give me back fully healthy with all of the games lost of Marcus Easely, Kyle Williams, Aaron Williams, Eric Wood and, I can't believe I am saying this, Chris Kelsay then I am with you at 8-4.
  9. Pretty much agree. How could the Colts not look at how well the situation has worked out for the Green Bay Packers? ...well, until it got ugly, but it still worked out in the long run.
  10. I'm sorry, crayonz, I mentioned it in another thread but forgot to mention it here that I thought the Texans were going to make the playoffs this year. Also, the Jets made the playoffs in Atlanta within the last few years...but I get where you are coming from.
  11. Agree Vadar, that is why the NBA and NHL were predictably ahead. I just had to check to be sure. FYI, Florida Panthers came darn close (1999-2000). First, absolutely true. Second, it would not be a proper response to one of your posts if I don't remind you of the mayhem and genocide you committed...all in the name of peace. I hate being "that guy" but I believe you've come to expect it from me.
  12. I love this and will be stealing it...don't worry, i will not claim it as my own.
  13. Dork, it was nice run. Seriously. His first half would have 12 carries for 122 yards and two TDs. ...that works!
  14. I missed that. Yeah, and they may not make it this year. Right now I think they are on the outside looking in.
  15. ...are the only 5 franchises of all 122 professional sports franchises that have a longer playoff drought than the Bills. I was bored. Things that make you go "hmmm." ...and, well yes we are currently tied with the Lions.
  16. I love the Bills. That being said; the Bills are going to lay down and take this the next time they play the Jets next year...no one will step up. I'm not even trying to be a d*** with respect to the above. When the Texans clinch their division EVERY team, including expansions, will have made the playoffs over the last 10 years except one. ...that team that will lay down and take it and not step up.
  17. CB, great information and good input by SJBF which followed, however, I am not sure I agree with the thinking. Mainly, why would we think we have negotiating leverage? Oh sure, we tie him up for the year and hope that it is enough to bring him to the reasonable table on a long term deal, but they guy may pull in 80 balls this season...what if he pulls 90 next year with 10 plus TDs?
  18. Demetrius Bell has been mediocre and has missed around 15 or 16 games as Buffalo Bill. Yet, if he were to hit the open market I still bet he'd get 2-3 million per to be a left tackle with somebody. Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread, but it just sort popped in my mind.
  19. hmmm...I believe he really loves football and this may be the last great passion in his life before he passes on to the next one. I love the Bills, but who are we to say that he should sell the team?
  20. CT, seriously, I am not trying to be sarcastic, but what about now?
  21. Agreed, that profitability is not a problem under Wilson (never understood his complaints), but that changes with a new owner who could be saddled with 20-30 million in debt each year (figuring if up to a half billion dollars of the deal is financed).
  22. In short, they need to win 6 out of their last 8 games and one of those wins has to come against the Jets. It would not suck if N.E. had nothing to play for on the last day of the season. ...it is what it is. I've stated 11 wins for weeks; I've never understood anybody who was thinking that 10-6 was good enough to get you into the playoffs.
