  1. They showed a close up of VanRoten's face when he came in and he looked petrified....at least that was my first impression.
  2. I think that's the plan with the need to stagger contracts. I think if Morse can't go at any time in the future, Bates is the best fit for center and I think they elevate Alec Anderson to play RG. I think he will be a good guard. I was hoping they'd stay at 25 this past draft and take Zion Johnson. I wonder how he's doing.
  3. I think he did ok and will be fine. I know everyone wants to judge him by one play, but I like him. He's a hitter.
  4. What I can do is send pressure and not allow time for a Waddle to get open deep. If there is a completion, it's likely to be well short of 22 yds. and likely forcing a punt. You know you're playing younger players so keep the play in the short to intermediate area and wrap it up...not hang them out to cover the entire field. BTW speaking of Poyer and Hyde and excecution......
  5. My biggest beef is 3rd and 22. Our DBs I thought played well enough or as to be expected, but to send no pressure and allow a 45 yd. completion has me pointing my finger for this loss at the sideline. The worst defense in history would have better odds of stopping that play short of 22 yd. (also forcing a punt) with pressure on the QB vs. giving him all day to wait for someone to come open. That right there is a new all time low in defensive coaching. Takes the cake.
  6. I don't think anyone cares because he's not under contract and it doesn't matter what he does.
  7. We can pretend his last name is Howard....
  8. I can't figure out why McD refuses to insert himself when these situations come up. Every time they did blitz, they had success and the fact that we blitz the least is nothing more than stubborn arrogance. Granted we finally got the talent to be able to rush 4, but they knew going into that heat they were down their 2 best interior lineman. Anybody with any sense would have adapted and yet in Bills fashion, we still have a coordinator unable or refusing to adapt. Miami sent pressure nonstop and took away the deep completion. Out coached again. To me, the 3rd and 22 was inexcusable and there's no sane argument against it. The chances of sending pressure and keeping any completion under 22 yds. is a lot better than giving Tua all day in the pocket. That was the most pathetic call I have seen on defense yet. At least 13 seconds can be argued who, when, what and where. Zero reasoning on this play. Is McD afraid to step on Frazier's toes?
  9. The whole crew on ESPN's Getup show this morning said " No way in Hell was that a back thing." Rex Ryan and Stephen A. Smith went off about it. The NFLPA is def. gonna be on it. I'm willing to bet that given the history of other players that, at some point this season,Tua will again deal with a concussion(s).
  10. Anybody would have been toasted when they call a defensive front that gave Tua all day to throw. He could have had a glass of iced tea. It was 4 against 6-7 all day in that heat and on the most important play of the game, they decide not to dial up some pressure to get an errant/quick/off timing throw and prevent a 22...or 45 yd. pass. Nope, that kind of quick (albeit it common sense) decision in critical situations is just not in the McFrazier wheelhouse.
  11. I think this was the plan for 23. Beane is good at stepping contracts and they took care of The Dline this year. I bet this next off season he completes things with a kickass Oline.
  12. I know this is the right thing to do. I've known it for over 4 decades, but I still feel like going berserk and my Mondays after a game like this are ruined. I hate Miami more than ever now. I'd also be surprised if the issue of Tua getting concussed going forward doesn't rear it's ugly head.
  13. Forget 13 seconds....We now have 3rd and 22
  14. Absurdities? I see that' it's not the heat, its the stupidity. The defensive game plan was on college level save for a couple of stunts and blitzes, but the lack of anything thoughtful was amazing. It was just plain stupid. They did to us exactly what our game should have been. This staff....or the average Mafioso knew how to defend a team that deserved an ass kicking. While that will have to wait a while, I hope all the snow gets blown to the "visitors" sideline.
  15. Why do I get the feeling that if McD was the D.C. we would be better off. Why can't he put a foot in someone's ass instead of being beholden to his D.C's systematic approach, BTW, the 90's called and want they're Defensive game plan back.
  16. Until we get rid of the Rick Dennison of DC, we are gonna see the same ole same ole. Every time we blitzed, we had results, but the old we gonna rush fo killed us, 3rd and 22 and you rush 4? seriously?. Unbelievable , knowing you're down impact players and you give Tua all day long. Nothing will change without a younger defensive mind. Apparently that ain't happening this year. This defensive game plan was B.S. That's on you McD. Miami blitzed non stop and took away the time for the deep ball. Did we do the same? Oh hell no, we just let him sit back and pick us apart.
  17. rushing 4 against 6-7 ain't gonna work this week.
  18. Ummm earth to McFrazier...are you guys at the game?
  19. LOSING IS NOT AN OPTION!!! Signed JA17
  20. What about Shaq? Is he still on the team? I think he's best suited to the inside....
  21. You can't be serious...oops Ed Reed my bad memory. Earl is middle name.
  22. As far J.J goes, when he was drafted Earl Reed said he'd be a Pro Bowler for years. One name I haven't seen is Siran Neal. If the Bills do decide to Blitz, wouldn't be surprised to see him on the field. I afraid that Josh may end up leading the team in rushing yards. I hope the front 4 can lay the wood to Tua. I expect to see some line stunts. Hope to see A.J. hit Tua just like last year...on the first drive would be perfect. As far as Hill and Waddle....if they start trying to make those grabs on crossing routes, they need to be pummeled. Take the 15! I think the way to loosen up the Miami D will be Isaiah/Crowder and Knox. Maybe Cook will show some stuff. Build the lead and run it down their gullets in the 2nd half.
  23. And on offense, I say Isaiah tearing ups some YAC....or reverses..
  24. Maybe the staff is looking ahead to Balt. with keeping a couple of these guys out. Hopefully Phillips makes it back soon.
  25. Forgive me if it's already been stated, but I wouldn't be surprised if the rookie corners play well. I'm hoping that we try some press man and clean Tua's clock. Also, when J.Johnson was drafted, Earl Reed said he'd be a Pro bowler....for years. This is the week to really throw down on defense be it adding some blitzing on occasion....maybe even give Bernard some snaps to make them think they can pull us out of nickel or run the ball. Mixing Shaq and Boogie inside now and then should work just fine against this Oline. Feel sorry for Greg Little. It does bother me that the line is 5.5, but maybe Vegas is going to try and make up ground for everybody putting their money on the Bills the last 2 weeks. How did the hoodie hold the Fish down? The Ravens just played a bad D in the secondary with a single safety (rookie) high. I'm not impressed.
