I don't think it's so much a change in philosophy but opponent specific and in game adjustments that just don't get made. You can't tell me that McD don't get mad and take over at times. He was chewing some DC ass and the TV showed showed it up close in Detroit.....unless McD has Turrets or something. This has been going on since we were getting slaughtered early on in Josh's rookie season. He should just take over the HC/DC role. I don't understand the marriage there. McD is a way better DC than Frazier....in playcalling.

This is why I advocate for the 4-3. If they think they can get pressure with 4, they better be creative with stunts. If they think they can rush 3 and drop 7, we'll give up too many yards on the ground. IMO, 4-3 helps stuff the run and gives us the luxury of sending a LB on a blitz pretty much every play. They won't know who or from where. We need to lay the wood to White early and often.

Are you suggesting that they can go 5 wide with a back?....or 2? I'm not a math wizard, but....is that possible? I don't think White would have the time for all those progressions. Besides Milano and Edmunds can cover at least Conklin? Take away Wilson, Moore and Conklin, we should still be able to stop the run game and run blitz. I've been preaching this right along. If we do this, not only can we stop the run , but we can also rotate our LBs on blitzes. If we double Wilson with White and Hamlin along with Rhodes and Poyer taking away Moore, we should be able to keep the Jets off the field.
