  1. While I love the optimism and agree about the very last part, I'm not convinced we will sniff a draft pick close enough to land one of those top 4 WR's. But I hope.
  2. The 3 elite years were prior to last year, my apologies. I'm exuding frustration that this franchise couldnt win 1 with an elite top 5 WR and a top 2 QB and now we're parting with half of that.
  3. We're losing our #1 WR from the last 4 years, and he was ELITE for the past 3. We should have won one with him here and his numbers.
  4. Why stop there? We should also punt from under center. We could save like 10 yards on punts making them go further! Brilliant OP
  5. Thinking of all the employees that will have to spend xmas at a game...working. Used to work in sports for 7+ years and that's the #1 reason I saw my way out. Needless to say I would not attend.
  6. I said nowhere that I only want big name guys. I just said I'm sick and tired of stacking WR3s instead of actually drafting and developing one - something you accused me of not wanting to do. You agreed with about half of what I said so it couldnt be THAT bad of a take 🤝
  7. Nooooooo. Why are we always obsessed with underachieving former WRs like Hodgins, McKenzie, Robert foster, Kumerow, duke williams. We do NOT need guys like Hodgins. We bring him in to do what, take snaps away from an actual promising guy like Shakir? I’m happy our collective fanbase agreed (mostly) that Gabe should walk for the $$, we’re getting smarter. We do not need a collection of WR3’s. At this point if beane can’t swing for a Hollywood brown or a M Williams then it’s the draft and it better be a rd 1 pick or I’ll feel helpless. No more settling for depth wrs for Josh. Were neglecting it.
  8. Will be 30 this year, injury prone, and will probably cost a decent amount. Can't see us going after him.
  9. Totally forgot about him when looking at the receiving corp. Thank god.
  10. That's my problem right there. Both those guys were NOT good, and both saw time in the WR 3 role. It's not great.
  11. I knew our money situation was bad, but I didnt know it was MACK HOLLINS bad. Christ.
  12. Always knew he'd end up in FL
  13. He’s never been a truly mobile qb, unless you count his best year in 2018 with 400 yds. If Allen ever goes out for a few games my biggest worry is that you’re just not running the same offense with Mitch, asking him to scramble for 1st downs or running qb draw in the redzone. It’s just not worth the money whatever the terms are. For example Max Duggan was a promising talent and LAC got him in the 7th round on a $795k/yr deal. Has similar traits and abilities to Allen - albeit WAY less than Josh obviously. But I’d trust him and not changing the game plan much vs Mitch for way less money. Idk why we can’t try and find that match in the draft late or UFA/UDFA route. FA cheap guys I would’ve liked instead: Mariota, bridgewater, tyrod
  14. I don’t get the love for this guy. Yes he was our former backup. Yes he was a top draft pick that had promise. Yes he’s been horrible lately and has ZERO traits Josh does. Is our season over if Josh gets hurt - yes. So I’m not completely phased at who our backup is. But at least get someone who can sub in and play the same offense that Josh does ICOE. Scrambling ability alone says Mitch is not that. Your backup should be a guy that can go in and win 2-3 games in a 4-5 game stint should Josh have some minor injury. I would have 0 faith in mitch if this happened and the offense would completely change. Go grab a UDFA this draft that has legs and call it a day. I just don’t like this as a backup plan. At all.
