He said that if he saw a black pilot he would question if the guy was qualified...he was not "just having conversations" he was incredibly racist, sexist, and the center of a lot of divisiveness in our country. Nobody should ever face this kind of despicable act - but I am not going to just pretend he was "just having conversations" with the subjects he stood on.

Didnt he also refuse to call Gov Walz after this? He said "“I’m not calling him. Why would I call him? I could call and say, ‘Hi, how you doing?’ Uh, the guy doesn’t have a clue. He’s a mess. I could be nice and call, but why waste time?” The simple thing to do would be to ease tensions here and offer support - and he decided to be divisive and do the opposite.

Political rhetoric has needed to cool down for 10+ years, and sadly will only get worse imo. It's incredibly frustrating and sickening that someone would resort to this in any circumstance. I do not agree with Kirk on most of his stances, and he is incredibly divisive. He's said some outrageous things that of course rampt up the crazies...shouldn't come to anything like this ever, but we're living in a horrible political environment. I'm not sure how it gets better but I'm praying.

The two points can be separate, ya know. I can think "wow, with all the assets we've poured into the Defense, and all the ways we should have been (and won) a Lombardi by now...we're still diving into the vet FA pool to fill positions for a defense that has continually been the crux of why we can't get to the superbowl." That should be alarming. Has nothing to do with QB contracts, especially when Beane made a bunch of FA signings the last few years focused on the D.

Most wins by a coach or qb without a Super Bowl appearance. In that stretch the Defense has consistently not performed with continuous band aid signings like this. But keep waving the flag and banging the drum.

He had a PI that gave us the ball on the 5 yard line for a td before half. He’s slow and old and the injuries would’ve guaranteed we would not have him for a full 17+ games. If you truly think he would have been a shutdown reliable guy for 17+ weeks for this team with a question mark rookie ahead of him that’s your take. I didn’t like it.

Yeah and he’s looked horrible. I’m not asking for a game wrecker at the D position at picks 26-32 or whatever we’ve drafted but you should not be dipping into former vets 2 weeks out to fill your defense.

It’s just mind bending to me some of the decisions this GM makes that he thinks fixes holes. He brings back Tre White who looked pretty bad with Baltimore (he got torched BY THE BILLS in a playoff game) and looked even worse in LA. You don’t go sign that player with all the question marks to be a CB3 behind a rookie like Maxwell. Because if you do, you basically pencil in Hairston as CB2 and if that goes bad, you’re suddenly onto white - which we’re already at. It’s sorta a head scratcher for me and here we are bringing back a 33 yr old Phillips cuz our DL (mind you we poured draft and FA assets into) isn’t good enough.

When we talk about the bills D falling flat in a big playoff game like the AFCCG, I point to this stuff. This is insane. The amount of assets poured into D and barely any sticking is negligent. They have been band-aiding for 3+ years and it’s why I would encourage a trade for some of these bigger talents.
