  1. Sherfield was never more than 5 yards downfield... by rule the LB could have chucked him as he was running by. Why isn't that coached?
  2. Regarding Coleman, if you told the Bills that your crystal ball said that he wouldn't able to start right away the Bills would have assumed an injury, or a veteran player deserving the starting spot more. Happy or not isn't relevant. Regarding Bishop, do you think the Bills thought that he would get injured on July 30th and not return to practice until September 4th?
  3. Yes, drafting Cole Bishop is exactly one of the reasons that they're happy with this position group. Everyone knows that Bishop will be a starter some day... which makes trading for another safety nonsensical... especially with Mike Edwards also in the mix. Basically many posters here are unhappy that Damlin is starting... they think they know better than the coaching staff. I don't know better than the coaching staff and have faith that changes will be made in the starting lineup when they're merited.
  4. This was years ago during the drought... you have to be able to laugh about it now. Great post Mike. Thank you. Awful nickname. His style of play doesn't evoke a stallion to me. Eric Dickerson is a stallion. Derrick Henry is a stallion. Guys that gallop are stallions. Ray doesn't gallop.
  5. I would bet that the Buffalo Bills don't think they have a problem at Safety. I would also bet that their opinion of that position group is higher than most of the Safety naysayers who post here. I believe that McBeane means it when they say that football games are won in the trenches. Because of this I would guess that if the Bills make any more moves, that they will be on the defensive line or at linebacker, before safety. What I want more than anything is a DT who is stout against the run and can push the pocket and create pressure on the QB.
  6. You should end every one of your posts with "Ya Digg?"
  7. On some level even with a healthy Tua they're already in QB purgatory... if you believe as I do that he's not good enough to win a Super Bowl with.
  8. If you read the box scores and look at stats you might think Darnold is playing well.
  9. I'd wager Henry gets more MVP votes than Darnold... I doubt Darnold gets any.
  10. Why do I feel you've been drinking?
  11. Doesn't this mean the Ravens or Patriots get a compensatory pick? You forgot to say "I've heard of him!"
  12. In addition, when asked about the risks of playing football he said it's also a risk to get out of bed and drive to work every day. I guess he's been concussed so many times that he forgot to add that "people drown in bathtubs too."
  13. Hopefully Dalton Kincaid is the next Dallas Clark.
  14. No... but they'll put this in the dossier to defend themselves against an eventual lawsuit he brings against the team/league. This is what convinced me that he is not in his right mind. And I'm not saying that just for laughs.
  15. Yesterday's win in Atlanta is a pretty quality win. On the road... against a team that looked to be putting it together. This is an interesting bit of information. Seattle is traditionally tough at home and they're a solid team. Though Russ showed pretty well with the help of a strong rushing attack there's no doubt that Geno Smith is an upgrade. Geno is actually a bit of a freak athlete... his arm is as strong as anyone's and he's become better at using his size and speed to extend plays. I expect this to be a tough game.
  16. I only hope the next 100 games go more slowly so I can enjoy and savor each one... it almost sometimes seems like a blur. Truly a blessing to have a legitimately great quarterback AND a person who's so easy to root for.
  17. Not sure where they went to college but I have seen Simmons in articles about players who could get moved at the deadline.
  18. Speaking of Ed, it seems like there's no dropoff (actually the contrary) when DeWayne Carter comes in. I'm high on Carter but I'd still love for the Bills to make a play for Jeffrey Simmons. Our middle pass rush and our run defense would be dramatically upgraded. Simmons would be our answer to Chris Jones... he'd be the final piece.
  19. Cooper's a better player and has more left in the tank than Diggs. He's as good in all categories and is a much better contested catch receiver. Also he's just as fast as Diggs but about 20 pounds heavier. Cooper doesn't get manhandled by physical corners. To finish your story for you, when Cooper made his Dallas debut he had 5 receptions on 8 targets for 58 yards and a TD. Today he had 4 receptions on 5 targets for 66 yards and a TD. Pretty impressive considering he had only been with the club for 5 days. Good guess. He actually played 35.7% of offensive snaps. He fought the ball on the TD... reminded me of Stevie Johnson catching his first TD after the unfortunate God-blaming Tweet. But here's the thing... Cooper has a reputation as a dependable ball catcher. In 8 seasons before 2024 he had 42 total drops... about 5 per season. This year he has 10 drops in less than half a season, but most observers point to poor quarterbacking, poorly timed and poorly placed balls in Cleveland. I would be very surprised if drops were an issue for Cooper here.
  20. Beane traded for Cooper and talked about having conversations with several GMs as teams figure out if they're buyers or sellers. There's no question Beane's spoken with Berry about Garrett... the only question is what Berry told Beane.
  21. I think you're McUnderestimating the situation.
  22. Babich had better have something very McSpecial cooked up for Rudy...
  23. To the bolded, I agree that something is very McFishy around here...
  24. Yes, and Beane’s comments were made after the Cooper trade.
