  1. Again I don’t know but our place is in Mariposa and his Aunt Liz lives here. Just knowing a bit of the family and the culture in the Central Valley farm/ranch community I would guess that he doesn’t partake. JMO.
  2. Of course we have no way of knowing for sure but my guess is that he’s not a user but isn’t above joking about it and leaving some playful doubt. Among his many admirable traits, Josh is a playful guy.
  3. It doesn’t get team names or spellings of last names wrong.
  4. Geno Smith threw a ball away on 4th and 10 last week, so there's that. He has a great "high knees" workout.
  5. If it were AI, I'm pretty sure it would have spelled Matt LaFleur correctly and associated the Chargers with Los Angeles, not San Diego.
  6. Speaking of announcers, in today's Broncos-Chargers game, analyst and former NFL QB Trent Green said that he thinks Justin Herbert is the best quarterback in the NFL. Needless to say, I was shocked.
  7. Russ has "a great attitude." While flying to London for a game as a member of the Broncos, Russ spent four hours walking up and down the aisle, performing high-knee exercises while his teammates were trying to sleep. It did not go over well.
  8. Brian Gaine Part Deux...
  9. I thought I did hear something about his pelvis...
  10. Not to mention the Chiefs have to play us as well as playing the Chargers one more time. They also have to play Denver twice. Their D-line is obscenely talented, Dexter Lawrence, Thibodeaux, Burns, and Abdul Carter. Maybe they'll draft another pass rusher.
  11. Interestingly in the same 2011 draft, the subject of this topic Cam Jordan was the 1st round pick (24th overall) of the New Orleans Saints with whom he's spent his entire career. On the other hand Jordan Cameron was drafted in the 4th round by the Browns and was ironically (and confusingly), a tight end... the same position played by Cam Jordan's dad, former Vikings Pro Bowl tight end Steve Jordan. To add to the confusion, Cam Heyward son of longtime NFL running back Craig "Ironhead" Heyward was also taken in that draft. Like Cam Jordan, Cam Heyward has spent his entire career with one team, in his case the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both sons of former NFLers, Jordan and Heyward have legitimate shots at the HOF. Both of them have DT/DE versatility and are superb blends of power and quickness. Their excellence over 15 years is almost unprecedented. That 2011 draft is considered possibly the greatest D-line draft in history. The following D-linemen were all taken in the 1st round of that draft: Von Miller Marcell Dareus Aldon Smith JJ Watt Nick Fairly Robert Quinn Ryan Kerrigan Corey Luiget Adrian Clayborn Phil Taylor Cameron Jordan Muhammad Wilkerson Cameron Heyward All of the above made at least one Pro Bowl. D-linemen taken in the 2nd round of that same 2011 draft were: Jabaal Sheard Jarvis Jenkins Brooks Reed DaQuan Bowers Marvin Austin Stephen Paea
  12. So blatant and as was pointed out, they don't call this penalty but on the same play, call the Giants. Agreed... Hollywood basically fell down because he sucks.
  13. I agree. There were 2 plays where Cook was shoestringed… one where I thought he saw the tackler and could have high-stepped. He does run with a gliding style. A little of the tire or mesh drill could clean that up. 👍
  14. I understand that Cook’s public statement of $15 million turned some people off. I think people should consider what we don’t know about any conversations that happened between his camp and the Bills. It’s weird to me, for instance that Rousseau, Bernard, and Shakir, we’re all in the front of the line when it’s very obvious who the best player from that draft class is. Maybe Cook’s public comments was frustration regarding the Bills’, treatment of his contract. Maybe he felt disrespected by the team. Maybe his comments were necessary to get what he was seeking.
  15. It was actually a manila folder... same difference.
  16. Disagree. Tre didn't play in week 1, split snaps with Dorian in week 2 and then played all the snaps in week 3. This tells you that the coaching staff wants him in game shape so that they can depend on him as a known quantity/variable and defensive leader. Of course Strong (and eventually Hairston) needs snaps to develop but with Cole Bishop having only started 7 games and Dorian Williams having only started 16 games in 3 seasons, and with Shaq Thompson, Joey Bosa, Deone Walker, and TJ Sanders all trying to assimilate into the defense, the last thing the Bills need is to force a rookie cornerback into what is already a bucket of moving parts. I'm predicting there will be some blowouts in the Bills near future and that's when Strong can pickup valuable playing time.
  17. In a defense with so many new parts (both rookie and veteran), the worst thing would be to try to break in a rookie cornerback when you have a veteran who can capably man the position and who knows the defense like the back of his hand. Tre is an asset to this defense. His ability to communicate pre-snap and get the team lined up correctly is invaluable as the defense tries to become cohesive. People here who are simultaneously criticizing Tre White starting and the Bills defensive performance are arguing against themselves. It's more important for the new D-linemen and Cole Bishop to gel than it is to break in one more rookie on the back end. Only when the defense has substantially gelled should White then cede time to Hairston and I certainly trust the coaching staff to know when that time is.
  18. I'm surprised not more has been made about Tyreek Hill and his likely availability later this season. I believe that Miami will be in sellers mode before the trade deadline and it seems a certainty that Kansas City will try to re-acquire him. Then of course there was the McDermott-Tyreek exchange at the end of last night's game where it looked like Tyreek was offering his services. If Kansas City attempts to acquire Tyreek, don't the Bills have to consider acquiring him in half to prevent him from reuniting with Mahomes/Reid and in half to give Josh the deep threat that he currently doesn't have? In response to the many posters predicting a joyous annihilation of The Fish last night, I commented that people should be careful what they wish for. On some level barring unforeseen circumstances, last night's close game was the best outcome for the Buffalo Bills. It's absolutely fair to ask whether Bosa and Rousseau have the same or different assignments.
  19. And sometimes they're just the same thing.
  20. I forgot Brett Favre. Who was more fun than Brett Favre?
  21. In this topic are dozens of posts stating that there would not be a substantial drop-off from Cook to Davis and Johnson. There are dozens of posts stating that "you don't pay running backs... that it's a low value position." There was even posts along the lines of "Josh calls Johnson the best 3rd down back in football, I'd like to see him get more touches." There are pages of really bad takes in this topic... from people who discounted or dismissed Cook's value to this team. There are also dozens of posts from people that couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that $15 million was a starting point and that based all of their opinions on that number. The cherry on top is that Cook is showing that $15 million isn't necessarily out of line.
  22. Agreed. Dan Marino and Dan Fouts were a lot of fun to watch too. 😄
  23. I really appreciate your thoughtful reply. I disagree though that negativity and criticism are more interesting than positivity. Balanced critical conversation is the best but many posters here lack balance. If they were balanced their words would carry more weight because people would see that they have a sound perspective on things and that they're not just always complaining. When I see posters who are continuously negative it's not hard to imagine how they might be in their own lives. I think that a lot of Bills fans live vicariously through the team and use the team as a proxy for their own unhappiness and frustrations. On the other hand are people who somehow have been afforded happiness, but who are still discerning, capable of critical thinking, and have interesting views on things... without the constant need to bring others down... I personally don't find people that smile and laugh a lot to be shallow or boring... does anyone think Josh Allen isn't a complex and fascinating person? So I don't think negativity is more insightful... if anything, the opposite.
  24. It makes you wonder... There are a lot of posters here that are exclusively negative... all season long negativity and skepticism. It really gets old for people who want to actually enjoy the ride and are excited for what the future holds. Some of these negativists would have a lot more credibility if they acknowledged some of the positive aspects of a team which is on track for their 7th straight double digit win season and 8th playoff appearance in 9 years... a team that appears to many objective observers to be improving. Some of us believe this is the best team of the McBeane era and want to enjoy this golden era and our sense of anticipation. It's almost completely futile trying to convince naysayers who will endlessly harp on the same negative talking points right up until the moment that the Bills hoist the Super Bowl. In their eyes nothing will change and it's important to them that the world knows that they feel nothing will change.
