  1. Also the return of DeMarvion Overshown.
  2. The trade of Micah Parsons which brought them Kenny Clark plus the trades for Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson were huge in transforming the Cowboys. Their opponents are better too.
  3. That play was all Mahomes... incredible play staying on his feet and keeping it alive.
  4. Pickens is in the last year of his contract. In order to cash in he: 1) Needs to be on his best behavior 2) Needs to play well
  5. Mahomes threw that ball in the perfect spot and Rice had the best position in that moment... being between Mahomes and the defender. I don't know how you can blame the DB on that.
  6. To the bolded, I guess it depends on who you're comparing them to.
  7. Perhaps. His voice was very less than stellar... that call and response was weak and the guitar playing was nothing to write home about either. Brandon Staley disagrees with you guys. Agreed. Hunt is a good physical runner and dependable in short yardage but the Chiefs run game as a whole is middling. I wonder if it's contagious. Lamb has had numerous crucial dropped passes this season. He hasn't played to his contract. Generally, he still extends plays really well but his accuracy when throwing off the run doesn't seem as good as it used to be.
  8. The one thing Campbell said when he took over duties 3 weeks ago is that he wanted to get Jameson Williams more involved in the offense. Now with St. Brown out, he'll have no choice.
  9. Wow 4 pages and no one has uttered the words or even alluded to... fantasy football I agree with your picks and your takes. Tradition... ya digg? 😆 Good laugh on that one! Unless it's a majority, the bolded wouldn't be an accurate statement. Horrible voice too... and wow... pasty complexion. Why is he "successful?"
  10. Good topic and starter post. Thank you. Great post, which is partly to say, I agree with your priority list. If there is a silver lining to the injuries to Dawkins and Spencer it's that we should gain some O-line certainty going into the offseason. That said I'm not looking forward to playing against TJ Watt without those guys. Sedrick Very Pucking Good. Two players that I would comment on: 1) If Beane give Kincaid one of his stupid, premature and overly-lucrative extensions I'll be super pissed off. There is zero basis for Kincaid to receive an extension. Kincaid's proven that he's a good receiver when he's healthy... and that he can't stay healthy. 2) Those writing off Dion Dawkins are overreacting. While there's some basis for claims that his play has declined, the pitchforkers are also unhappy with his higher visibility this year. Dawkins is under contract for 2026 and 2027 and you don't create holes in your roster at positions that are difficult and expensive to fill... for no good reason.
  11. Joe Brady was the bright, shiny object with no track record... 5 NFL seasons. Marcus Brady 8 NFL seasons, Waldron 16 NFL seasons. I would take guys with more experience than a guy still living off his "built by association" with Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, and Justin Jefferson. JMO.
  12. That's right!!! If not now, when? If not here, where? If not us, who? And the other question I can never remember... how? The talent is not good but it's disheartening that the coaching staff is so poor that they're unable to self-scout and make the corrections necessary to minimize the offensive dysfunction.
  13. And black and white for the most part. Pete Carroll and Russ Wilson have tarnished their legacies. John Schneider has burnished his. The highest paid OC in the NFL... $6 million per. That could have been written about Joe Brady and how the NFL has figured out a college play caller as well as the part about play repetition and leaving the tackles on islands without help... too familiar.
  14. Good post for optimism and excellent writing too. Kudos! Better than Mecole Hardman 2.0.
  15. In fairness both the 2024 Bears and the 2022 Colts were "sinking ship seasons." Eberflus was a complete failure as a HC as was Frank Reich in Indy. As with Waldron and the Bears, the Indy team that Marcus Brady coached got significantly worse after he left. Reich fired Brady days before he got the axe himself and the 3-5-1 Colts went 1-8 the rest of the way. Track records are a funny thing... many of the hot names that get hired catch lightning in a bottle or were in the right place at the right time. I call it "built by association" (as opposed to guilt by association). If you're in the league long enough your gonna accumulate some blemishes... the shine comes off but that doesn't mean that the shiny, new objects are better.
  16. I respected his actions in the Damar Hamlin game when he agreed to call the game with his team leading, 7-3. There's no good reason not to like Taylor that I can think of.
  17. Cooks is not young. Technically he was using a rollator. He's old enough to be Tremaine's dad. Sshhhh... A few but no one's mentioned that the reason they need 2 Cooks is because everyone has to eat... On the subject of Cooks' durability, the NFL went to a 17 game season in 2021. Since that time he's played in 65 of a possible 79 games (82.3%). Previous to 2021 he played in 91 of a possible 112 games (81.3%).
  18. In what way had Marcus Brady's stock diminished? Before the spate of significant injuries, the Chargers' offense and Justin Herbert were playing very well. Whatever happened to the Bears under Matt Eberflus, I don't think you can blame Waldron. The Bears were 4-5 when he was fired and went 1-7 the rest of the way. In the case of both of these coaches, I think you have to look beyond any perceived blemishes and drill down to find their true value.
  19. If nothing else, it would be very entertaining to watch Belichick and Vrabel coaching against each other in the AFC East.
  20. Nice suggestion. I'll add it to the list. Thank you LP. Yes reading comprehension doesn't seem to be improving. To the above 2 posts, it's highly unlikely that Ronald Curry will call plays for the Bills. As I've mentioned elsewhere numerous times, OL Coach Aaron Kromer and TE Coach Rod Boras have both been NFL Offensive Coordinators. Considering that Tom Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, I'm sure he'd be happy to call plays for the Bills... when he's not performing the duties of his 10 year, $375 million contract to act as the analyst on FOX's number one crew.
  21. Marcus Brady: https://www.chargers.com/team/coaches-roster/marcus-brady
  22. The Joe Brady play again!!! It's sweeping the league!!!
