Both have the ability to line up in the slot or outside (but both are better in the slot), both have the punt return pedigree, similar height and weight, both tough as nails and fearless over the middle, great run after the catch ability and desire to block... the same bent over running style... I mean this as high praise.

Yes, many people evaluating the Bills defense forget that Taron has only played 4 games this year and that Terrel Bernard has only played 5 (if you count the Arizona game where he was injured in the first quarter). Neither played against Baltimore and considering they're 2 of our best players and the dropoff to their substitutes is substantial, their absences in that game were huge. The way Derrick Henry ran through our defense psychologically makes people wish we were bigger and tougher on D but both of these players are strong at defeating blocking schemes, being assignment sound, and fitting up against the run. And our pass defense is night and day better when they're on the field. The only games in which both Bernard and Taron played the entirety of the games was against the Jets and the Titans.
