So essentially you really feel he needs to improve his footwork? 🙃

Another thing that people have forgotten about OJ was that he was the first sports superstar who went out of his way to acknowledge his teammates when the spotlight was on him. When he broke the NFL single season rushing record and the network requested a post game interview, OJ insisted that they allow him to bring out all of his offensive teammates for the interview and he cited each of them by name... "my main man Reggie McKenzie... JD "Crackback" Hill... etc. This had never been done before and it was an extraordinary act that spoke of good character. Is that a bat or are you glad to see me?

I'll definitely make the time to watch this. Thanks for posting!

"over other ringless teams..." Sounds like the question was not all-encompassing. -
Props to Rasul Douglas? Where was he in AJ Brown's darkest moments?

Cleveland Browns unveil new helmet, drum roll please
Sierra Foothills replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
PT Barnum did say that there's no such thing as bad publicity but obviously there are exceptions. I'd be very interested to know what the Browns did or didn't know. Were they caught unawares? If so that's a bad look. Did they plan for this to be a farce? If so, bad idea. A team with a reputation for dysfunction should probably try to avoid this kind of buffoonery. I'd also be interested to know why the helmet unveiling sponsorship was relegated to Dude Wipes. Most NFL teams have 8-10 corporate sponsors. None of them were willing to sponsor the event? Regardless of the answers or lack thereof, there's nothing about this debacle that reflects well on the Browns. They're inept, either because they couldn't control the process or because they decided to turn the event into a joke. -
Who do you have in mind? If he's not subject to waivers, why must he wear a vest? Also, what if he refuses to wear the vest? Does he still retain his free agent status?

Cleveland Browns unveil new helmet, drum roll please
Sierra Foothills replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks for the link but unfortunately it leaves a lot of my questions, unanswered. For instance, what degree if any were the Browns complicit in this stunt?... because why would they agree to do something that makes them look so stupid? And if the Browns didn't know he was gonna pull this stunt, how is it that "well-known social media influencers" insinuated themselves to being on the barge in those key positions at a major team event? Was it that the Browns know that he and his Grandma were influencers and were hoping for good publicity? Subsequently did the dude and his Grandma double cross the Browns and betray the trust placed in them by the team in order to increase their followers? What an ever-stranger world we're living in. -
Probably the reason other metros are building domed stadiums is because the expense is justified. Erie County is the 60th most populous county in the United States. Buffalo is the 82nd largest city. Buffalo is smaller than such "major cities" as Bakersfield and Fresno... Omaha and Corpus Christi... Buffalo has about the same population as Fort Wayne and is barely bigger than Toledo, Ohio. There were how many concerts in Highmark last year? I seriously doubt that there are any stadium-caliber performers who are going to want to come to Buffalo in December to play a concert... even if it's in a domed stadium. I'd bet that when you crunch the numbers and compare the added cost of a domed stadium versus the additional revenues possible from non-NFL events, that the numbers don't pencil out. Comparatively, the Kansas City metro area is over 2 million people. The Chiefs will get a domed stadium if that's what they want. And I'm sure these numbers are well-known to those whose business it is to know them.

Justin Jefferson with a mild hamstring strain which'll keep him out of practice for a bit. DJ Chark signs with the Eagles. Terrence Steele who's started the last 34 games at ORT for the Cowboys is out with an ankle sprain. Patriots HC Mike Vrabel has admitted an interest in signing Christian Wilkins. Justin Fields was jogging on the field today after being carted off yesterday.

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/dan-campbell-thinks-it-would-be-great-for-the-ufl-to-become-an-official-nfl-farm-system Lions HC Dan Campbell: “I don’t make those decisions — nobody cares what I think about that. I think it would be great. NFL Europe was awesome back in the day because that was a chance to really develop guys,” Campbell said. “We’ve gotten a couple players out of there and I know other teams have. You get to see them, they’re playing in the spring so they’re in shape, so they’re just coming off running around, being football ready. That’s enticing to us, too. If you need a guy, at least you know — you’ve got evidence right there — versus someone who’s been home for three months, they say they’ve been working out but you don’t know. It’s not football working out like these guys are.”

According to Google AI: Average Earnings: In 2024, the mean average college football player earned approximately $40,800 in NIL revenue. The median total earnings were much lower at $928, showing that high-value deals are concentrated among fewer players. Deal Distribution: Many players have multiple smaller deals. 54.5% of deals were valued between $0-$100, and 91.5% of deals were valued at $5,000 or less, according to NCAA data through October 31, 2024. Total Market: The total NIL market for 2024-25 was projected to reach $1.67 billion with football accounting for 42% ($700 million) of all NIL agreements. Power 4 vs. Group of 5: Power 4 athletes (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC) earn more on average, receiving $75,390 compared to the average of $39,944 for all college football players. Top Earners: Players like Shedeur Sanders ($4.7 million) and Arch Manning ($2.8 million) had estimated valuations in the millions in 2024. Also relevant is that there were thousands of NCAA players that received NIL money in 2024 whereas at any given moment there are less than 500 UFL players. Final rough estimate is total NIL money for NCAA Football player in 2024: $700 million Total compensation paid to UFL players in 2024: $32 million

Uhhh... the Browns helmet reveal??? 😀 He's no Jaxon Dart... is your crystal ball filled with ayahuasca?

It's interesting to think about the total of NIL money versus the total of UFL money.

My theory is that the sight of the helmet caused his bladder to fail so rather than piss down his leg in front of the entire universe, he opted for the lake. 1) Agree 2) Disagree -

Nathaniel Hackett? Wes Phillips, the Ryan boys, the Shula boys, Nolan, Mora, Schottenheimer... the list is endless... -
Phase One of the NFL offseason program is restricted to meetings and strength and conditioning, with no on-field workouts. Phase Three encompasses OTAs.
-
With regard to the Christian Wilkins situation, a similar thing happened in Dallas as Trevon Diggs lost out on a $500K workout bonus because he didn't rehab at the facility enough. Can you imagine pissing away a half mill? And now the relationship between player and team is damaged.

Your fears are unfounded. Keon Coleman was an excellent punt returner in college. He had 25 returns for 300 yards... 12.0 yards per return which is elite. Punt returners don't actually have to be fast because most of the time, they're running against the flow of the coverage team.
