  1. I'm just glad I don't have to see JP Losman or Trent Edwards under center. Josh missed some throws, specifically the 4th and goal play to McKenzie. But even with a banged up offensive line, he gave us a chance to win at the end of the game. Just have to get healthy and this team is back on track. The Bills are 2-1 and get another crack at the Dolphins in December.
  2. Was never mad. Very sad for about a week, then I moved on with my life. It's just a game, I love the Bills but would never allow the outcome of a game to dictate my emotions for too long.
  3. Not all 4-2-5's are alike. In some situations the Mike would have 2-gap or widened gaps based on the alignment (shades of the DL). But I see your point and I appreciate your civil discourse.
  4. I expect this revamped D-Line to prevent guards from getting to the second level, allowing Edmunds some more clean looks at his gaps in the run game. He is already an amazing coverage LB in this system. Buffalo has lacked a true 1 tech at DT and with the failed experiment of Star, Edmunds has under performed against the run. We also run a ton of nickel, meaning Edmunds is asked to cover multiple gaps in the run game. But to sum it up, I say we let Edmunds play out this season and if all goes according to plan he should be in for a big year. We'll decide on next year after we win the SUPER BOWL this year.
  5. I agree with you. Last year, since the Bills ran a ton of nickel, Edmunds was required to cover two gaps ALOT. But this was also because the defense lacked a true 1 Tech at DT. McD wants to run a one gap system (remember Kuechly and Star in his prime). This would make Edmunds responsible for either the A or B gap, depending on the formation. My point is that the additions of Phillips, Jones and Settle (who all have the size and strength to eat space) should help. I want to preface also, that I am all for the Bills drafting Llyod if he's available at 25. I am not sold on Edmunds, but he should improve this season with a more beefed up D-line.
  6. McDermott runs a single gap system, which focuses heavily on quick penetration by the defensive line to disrupt the offense. The linebackers have gap responsibilities dependent on the formation, they don't get to choose their own gaps lol.
  7. Edmunds is gonna shock a lot of you this year. Now that we got some serious beef on the defensive line, its going to free him up. Star was supposed to be that guy who took on multiple blockers, allowing Edmunds to shoot gaps. Unfortunately the Star experiment failed, but I have a feeling the Settle, Jones, Phillips combo will be lethal. With that said, I can definitely see the Bills draft his replacement this year. Sadly, we cant keep everybody, no matter how many spells Beane learns.
  8. Free form jam session with players, coaches and fans. Rent out a bass, keys, drums, guitar and mic and throw a concert. Or an improv night with players/coaches. Always cool to see athletes show off hidden talents in music/story telling. Good luck with the event!
  9. Really love this signing at a bargain. Singletary took control of the RB room the 2nd half of last season but it is nice to snag an elite pass catching running back. For comparison, DJ's owns a massive 9.2 yards/reception over his career, which is more than CMC (8.4 y/r), Fournette (7.1 y/r) and JD McKissic (7.8 y/r). Really don't understand why anyone wouldn't like this acquisition, especially given the price.
