  1. Would like to see us pounce on the chance to grab Franklin. Keep stockpiling those WR lottery tickets.
  2. 40 times are irrelevant. Go watch a football game and tell me how many times you see a receiver sprint 40 yards in a straight line from the line of scrimmage. It’s insane how people will discredit a player who is obviously good on the field. We’re drafting this guy to catch the ball over people. We haven’t had someone who can do that in a very long time.
  3. I trust our GM. None of us spent all year scouting him in depth
  4. Kam Kinchens is one of my favorite mid round guys for safety. Big time playmaker who had his stock destroyed due to a bad combine. But the few games of his I saw this year he really stood out. Feel like safety is one of those positions that combine numbers are not everything.
  5. McConkey really intrigues me. I think he does a lot of things really well and has a skill set we don’t have. Was watching his highlights today and he reminds me of Diggs in a way. The quick, shifty route running and ability to run and catch through contact is why.
  6. We sure could use him but the draft capital, salary, and injury history is a lot to put on the table. I feel like almost every SF game I’ve watched, Deebo was down on the turf at some point with an injury.
  7. DeJean seems like a fine player, but if he was truly valued by the Bills, I think he would have been grabbed at #28. However we are pretty deep at CB. Johnson, Benford, Douglas, and Elam is a pretty solid stable and good enough for this year. Maybe Elam gives you some extra growth and can get on the field more. Also, Beane has done a good job finding talent at this position in the mid to late rounds so I think I trust his eye for talent later in the draft. I think #33 should be receiver. Franklin, Mitchell, McConkey, Polk, and Coleman are all players to take a shot at. You can maybe gamble on DeJean at #33 then try to grab one of these receivers with a trade up of #60. Or maybe one of them falls that low. I just don’t think that is a good idea given we are so weak at the position and need to get one of them. Rounds 2-5 have produced elite WR talent the last few years. We have many picks in this range at the moment. Enough that we can grab 2 lottery tickets and fill the rest of the roster out with the rest. Amon-Ra, Puka, Jayden Reed, AJ Brown, Rice, Tank, Downs, Collins, Higgins, and Pickens all are starters that were taken in that range in recent years. I hope we play the numbers game and can find the next WR to that list.
  8. My only worry on Mooney/Samuel is that they probably are looking to sign with a team where they can be a #2 or very good #3. If we go WR in round 1 then Mooney/Samuel as a #3… you’re leaving Shakir with scraps as a #4 when we should put him in a better spot to succeed than that. Don’t think Mooney or Samuel sign here to play the Sherfield role.
  9. It’s been the Pats and Chiefs league for too long. There’s like 29 teams including us that are “due”. Would be nice to see us, Detroit, Minnesota, or Arizona take one home.
  10. Derrick Henry is the last player we should be targeting.
  11. Coleman checks some of the big boxes for me. Specifically the fact that at worst you need to trade up a few picks to get him if not hope he falls. The size and catching ability is 2 of the 3 things our offense needs. The other, separation, I'm not sure on from my viewings. He looks pretty damn legit though. Worthy is a fun YAC player but honestly think there’s a good amount of risk with him. Would be happy if we got him though. Still need to dig into Brian Thomas. Haven’t watched much on him yet. Nabers is the dream but that would cost a boatload of picks that we can’t afford to give up with our cap situation.
  12. Well we could do much worse. Just don’t go Dorsey on us, Joe. Decent amount of risk here going the internal route but things did improve when he took over and our offense looked good. Needs to find that next level with a full off-season to prepare.
  13. 8 of the last 10 AFC Champs have been the Chiefs or Patriots… annoying
  14. The majority of the leagues best receivers were not first rounders… gotta take a few shots this year
  15. Wtf do we do this offseason. We’re paying a lot of money to bad players
  16. I know we’ve lost like a million players on defense but this is ridiculous
  17. Shakir has unbelievable hands. And is shifty and fast with the ball. My god we might have a gem.
  18. Shakir has had hands of glue since his time at Boise. Showing a lot of promise the past few weeks making clutch catches.
