Im convinced its coaching (Chiefs showing how to handle Bengals)

It doesn't make sense. The idea is to force the QB to throw to a WR in front of the sticks, and then the defense rallies to the ballcatcher and makes a tackle before the receiver crosses the first down yardline. Everything has to go right, including not missing the tackle, not letting the receiver fall forward, not slipping, not anything. Best case scenario is it forces 4th and 1, which they probably go for (and get) anyway. -
I'm not sure how we can think that. Dolphins beat us once in the regular season, and took us down to the wire in the playoffs with a 3rd string QB. And now they just improved their defensive coaching considerably.

I don't think it stupid at all. You're trying to say a tragedy that happened 8 months before the playoff loss, and a medical issue that happened to a team owner 6 months before the playoff loss, and a hot game that happened 4 months before the playoff loss, has some correlation to the playoff loss. I don't think there is any correlation. Personally I think to correlate that is a bit ridiculous.

Who said there is an issue? Its just a discussion. But yeah, Settle was a nice signing, but he is not as good as Suh. And having both would have been nice, wouldnt it? Especially with Suh being so cheap? Settle (here entire season): 2 QB hits, 1 sack, obviously a space eater too Suh (signed in late November): 2 QB hits, 1 sack, obviously a space eater too

Suh plays about 30-40% of the snaps. Which is about the same as our D-line rotation pre-injury. Settle plays about 30% of the snaps too.

Edit: Actually looking again I might be wrong on Cook. He may be playing more of a depth role, even with the injuries. -

28 yards can be the difference between being in FG range for the game winning kick or not. 11th place is not elite imo. -

Is 11th place elite to you? -

Yet there defense is never elite during the season. Would you rather have an elite regular season defense or elite playoff defense? -

KC put on a defensive clinic. THAT is how you stop a pass happy offense. NOT by dropping all your CB’s back and playing soft. Get right in their face and mess them up. -

I was being facetious lol. But to answer your question Karlaftis, Watson, McDuffie, and Cook are all rookies. Chiefs now down 2 starters. -

Do you think the Chiefs have studs on defense or something? lol. They are starting 8 rookies. And their #1 CB is out. And you’re counting players that got injured mid-game. After they we’re already getting abused. That doesn’t count. You can’t say we were missing Tre and Poyer while they were getting abused before they went out. Talent wise, I take the Bills defense over the Chiefs every day of the week. Chris Jones being the only exception. -

KC’s defense has put on a clinic through 3 quarters.
