  1. That push is just unstoppable. I genuinely think teams should just not play defense when Philly gets to the 1 yard line. Save the risk of injury.
  2. Yeah the Jets issue is obviously that awful offense.
  3. That’s actually what the PFF metric aims to do. And it has the Jets #1. Which matches my eye test.
  4. It’s a common mistake. Using points per game as the sole determination for who has the best defense has several faults. 1) Lack of Context: This metric doesn't account for the quality of the offenses faced. A defense might have low points allowed because they played weaker offenses, not necessarily because they are a strong defense. 2) The Offense: A defense will allow more points in games if their offense can’t sustain drives, which increases the time the defense is on the field. 3) Turnovers: If a team has a terrible offense (like the Jets), and turns the ball over a lot in their own territory, that sets the defense up to defend fields where the opponents offense is already in scoring range. What does that result in? More points allowed.
  5. Look familiar? https://twitter.com/PFF_Steve/status/1726352868381237612?s=20
  6. If we win the next two, you'll need an industrial size lead anvil to bring us down from the clouds!
  7. I think you’re arguing apples and oranges here. Simon’s point is that McD went to the blitz well one too many times. There was no more element of surprise. Wilson, being a veteran QB, knew it was coming and had a plan for it, because we had just done it several times in a row. Thats not the same thing as fans being critical of Frazier for dropping back and guarding the sticks, which is what he did in nearly every game-winning drive scenario. What many fans wanted out of Frazier is tighter coverage (instead of playing 10 yards off) and a blitz every now and then. Not a blitz every down to end the game.
  8. In not impressed with the defense. They played well but I expected them to play well against that terrible Jets offense. What I am impressed with is the Bills offense. To put 32 points up against that Jets defense is unbelievable.
  9. If this happens then I think McD needs to answer some tough questions about why he didn’t make a change sooner. That type of run against the gauntlet of teams upcoming would be a clear and direct indictment on Dorsey.
  10. Personally, I think that knee is just toast. The guy is almost 35 and has had 3 ACL tears.
  11. Do we have any reason to believe he’s not fully healthy? Our coaching/training staff is notoriously conservative when bringing guys back from injury.
  12. Chiefs scored less against NYJ. Eagles scored less against NYJ. Cowboys scored less against NYJ. Chargers scores less NYJ. etc I only regret that McDermont didn’t make the change earlier. The entire team seemed reinvigorated. Go Bills!
  13. Von literally just ran almost to the end zone trying to get to the QB. Oofta.
  14. There is 0 chance a ref on the field saw that foot touching Douglas.
  15. I see that fire in his eyes again!!
  16. He is completely outplaying that contract he signed. On the other side Quinnen Williams got almost $10m more per year and I’m not even sure if he’s playing.
  17. I was so wrong about the Ed Oliver re-signing. He has been a wrecking ball this year.
  18. Rasul is making so many plays. Love to see it.
  19. Most points Jets defense has given up all year is 30. We are 29 with 21 minutes remaining.
  20. Why are you even here?
  21. We are at 29 points with a full quarter and a half to go. Keep in mind, this is against one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Jets defense is absolutely elite.
  22. Agreed. At worst it was illegal contact. But probably not even. Definitely not PI.
