  1. A month and a half ago:
  2. Here is the type of things i’ve been reading since draft day. They’re not a definite but a lot of smoke for there to be no fire.
  3. I really respect McD for all he has done for this franchise. I also believe he is genuinely good human being who has tried his best. That being said, at this point, I just really want a coach that is good at end of game situations. - Someone who knows not to call timeout on defense and that doing so gives the other team time to get their players and play-call in order, just as much as it does for you. - Someone who knows not to call timeout before a rushed game-winning or game-tying kick and give the field goal kicker time to catch his breath. - Someone who knows to squib the ball with 13 seconds left and not to play 10 yards off of receivers with the game on the line. - Someone who knows not to send an all-out blitz, multiple times, against a veteran QB, with the game on the line. - Someone who knows that you kick-off in OT against terrible offenses (stop them once and a FG wins the game) and you receive against any offense better than terrible. Just a lot of strategy stuff that I believe has lost us games.
  4. The info that Reich wanted Stroud and the owner forced Bryce Young has been out since before the draft. Reich has made some comments that point to it as well.
  5. The Josh Allen hate by some on this board is out of control. The fact that some people can not see how great he is and how many problems he masks is incredible to me.
  6. We rotate 7 different players on a 4 man line with four 1st round picks: How much more depth do you need? I’m sorry but these are just excuses.
  7. If you think injuries are why the Bills lost yesterday, then I completely disagree. We completely shut their offense down in the first half - injuries didn’t seem to be a problem then. And then the defense got steamrolled in the second half. The Eagles scored on 5 of their last 6 drives. 4 of those 5 were touchdowns. The key was that the Eagles coaching staff made adjustments in the second half. McD either didn’t, or his adjustments were not helpful. That’s not injuries - it’s coaching. .
  8. He has done this repeatedly. Both with kickers and offenses that have a running clock and are scrambling to get first downs with the game on the line. How he has not learned that you don’t bail out the opposing side is beyond me. Incredibly frustrating.
  9. Cook running out of bounds instead of going for the 1st down made me just as upset as him dropping the TD.
  10. If so, then that is a direct indictment on McDermott and Beane who built this team.
  11. His situational coaching awareness is just not great. A similar thing happened in the Broncos game:
  12. Injuries are part of the risk of signing 33 year old players.
  13. The Eagles had more turnovers…
  14. Allen left the field with a lead after that interception. TWICE.
  15. Don’t look now but Payton’s Broncos have beaten the Chiefs, Bills, Browns and Vikings… all in a row. They were one of the worst teams in the league last season and now they’re knocking on the door of the playoffs. Great coaching matters… even if it takes a quarter season to get the kinks worked out.
  16. He didn’t leave the field with the lead in that game. But in 3 of our 6 losses he did.
  17. How many times has he left the field with a lead, never got the ball back, and lost? A lot. I can think of multiple times just this year. @Patriots, vs Broncos, @Eagles,
  18. Some of those runs gave me shivers. I was yelling “we got him back!!!”
  19. Time for a positive thread That was the closest to 2021 playoffs i’ve seen Josh Allen since Daboll left. Great decision making (outside of one throw), used his legs a ton, was throwing on the run with accuracy… he just looked fantastic. He was Josh Allening more than i’ve seen him Josh Allen all season. Or last season. Gives me hope for the future. And against 2 straight great defenses.
  20. Von Miller was a huge swing and miss though.
  21. He hasn’t been “really bad”. He just has drafted a lot of “average to good” instead of “great to elite”. 44 draft picks and only 1 truly great player (Allen).
  22. GTFO. Sorry for the poor language, but Allen was close to perfect today. It was the closest to 2021 playoff Allen i’ve seen in a long time. His offense put 34 points on the board and left the field with a lead… TWICE. Several times this season he has left the field with a lead, only to lose.
  23. For fugs sake. Allen played out of his mind. He was magnificent. The Eagles had 2 turnovers and won. We had 1 turnover and lost. This game is on the defense - Not Allen.
  24. Ive gone back and forth on letting McD go, because I really like him as a human being and believe there are no clear and obvious improvements out there, but this game solidified my belief that its time for him to go. He simply got outcoached in the 2nd half. One coaching staff made changes that resulted in 27 points in the second half and our defensive coordinator (head coach) had 0 answers for it. The Eagles scored on 5 of their last 6 possessions. And 4 of those last 6 possessions were touchdowns. It was the Chiefs divisional game all over again.
