  1. That really only applies to QB's. 57% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl WR's drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 47) 64% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl RB's drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 45) 57% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl TE's drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 42) 64% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl G's drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 60) 63% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl C's drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 49) 52% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl LB's drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 36) 57% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl Safeties drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 49) Only 28% of All-Pro/Pro-Bowl QB's drafted over the last 10 years has been drafted in Round 2 or later (Median: Pick 10) You could say the same for the rest of McD's drafts... He never got another Tre or Dawkins or Milano again. Not really. Reid had been to 4 straight Championship games and a Super Bowl by the same point as McD is in his career.
  2. Yeah, definitely GPT. 😉
  3. I laughed at the goat.
  4. This has to be ChatGPT. No way a human could take the word "love" in this context so literally.
  5. He gets a pass because he’s not drafting in the top 15? I disagree. One could honestly make an argument that, outside of Josh (1 player), Whaleys last draft (in terms of impact players) was equal to or better than all of Beane’s drafts combined. In that last draft Whaley picked Tre White, Dion Dawkins and Matt Milano.
  6. Beane has been consistent with drafting average players (which is honestly an improvement over most GM’s). Meaning, his draft picks are rarely ever awful. The majority of them can start or play rotationally. But he has been very bad at drafting great players. In Beane’s tenure he has drafted 44 players: 0 MVP 0 OPOY 0 DPOY 0 First team all-pro 0 OROY 0 DROY 3 Pro Bowlers (Allen, Knox, and Edmunds)
  7. Taylor is one of the top rated pass blocking tackles in the NFL. He’s not great at run blocking but the Chiefs rarely run.
  8. KC has made excellent moves. Gotta give them credit. - They drafted Trey Smith. Bills took Rachad Wildgoose several picks before that. - They drafted Creed Humphrey, who is now the best C in the league. Bills took Carlos Basham two slots before that. - They moved ahead of us and drafted McDuffie. We drafted Elam. They also made protecting their QB a goal of utmost priority. - They signed Joe Thuney, a very good G, to an $80M deal in Free Agency. - They signed Jawaan Taylor in free agency to an $80M deal. - They signed Donovan Smith in free agency to a $9M deal. Beane has some golden nuggets too, with the great signing of Leonard Floyd and McGovern has played well. But we also have some pretty low return-on-investment signings too, with Hardy, and Sherfield and Ford and Von, etc.
  9. The way my jaw just dropped…
  10. Of course we couldn't have played them 2 weeks later...
  11. That first Allen video gave me a lot of renewed hope. Thanks for posting that.
  12. Exactly what I meant in this thread:
  13. 9-7 will likely get *someone* in. The problem is, we currently lose every single tiebreaker.
  14. This is exactly the way to defend the Bengals offense. Tight man coverage.
  15. FYI, Frazier has every reason not to be honest about the reason for his departure. It looks a lot better to leave a team voluntarily than to be pushed out. Its workforce politics 101.
  16. My initial thought is to root for the Ravens, since the 1 seed is likely not in play with 5 current losses and we would want the Bengals to get their 5th loss.
  17. I understand the sentiment, but fixing the OC unfortunately doesn't fix some glaring weaknesses we have at HC. For example: In-game decision making.
  18. I'm on the Ben Johnson train but Vrabel is an intriguing choice. His teams are always a tough out, even when they have less talent than the opponent.
  19. I don't see Xanax or Alprazolam (generic for Xanax) on the NFL banned substances list. Which makes sense, since i'd be surprised if the NFL didn't allow benzodiazepines to players, as they are considered a mental health medicine. https://www.nationalfootballpost.com/columns/features/nfl-banned-substance-list/ .
  20. I thought about this but didn’t want to bring medical into it. However, since you did, I will hypothesize that it is at least possible that they prescribed him xanax or something similar to help him combat the amped up feeling that they perhaps feel leads to hero ball.
  21. Have you ever had a bad boss? Those who have can testify that, over time, even strong personalities can be worn down by repeated criticism, negativity, etc. You’re absolutely right that it could be something outside of football too. But a coach/boss can certainly impact your psyche. And I find it highly curious that Allen didn’t start looking this way until Daboll left, and seemingly less and less fire each month he is gone.
  22. Yeah... this is what my Carolina buddy said.
  23. You write this, lacking any context of what happens around the NFL. Allen went into last nights game with only 1 more INT than the best QB in the world right now. I repeat: Allen went into last nights game with only 1 more INT than the best QB in the world right now. You act as if he is on pace to double the INT's of other elite QB's, but that simply is not the case. Allen is #1 in TD's, top 5 in yards, top 5 in QBR, went into last nights game with 1 more INT than the QB who has won 2 of the last 3 Super Bowls. If he doesn't like the grind anymore, or is phoning it in, then sure - I'll be right there with you, bashing him. But I have seen zero evidence that this is the case. I think he has lost some fire because of the HC's mentality, which use to be offset by the OC's mentality, but now that OC is in New Jersey.
  24. I’m not blaming Allen for the tipped INT’s. But yeah he has had some bad throws. As does every QB. As for the bad throw on 4th down, most QB’s aren’t even able to get that ball off.
