  1. Depends what you mean by "local". It was on TV in much of NY (Cuse, Southern Tier, etc) just not Buffalo and part of Rochester.
  2. Basically, if an injury has the possibility to affect a players performance, it must be reported.
  3. I was of the same opinion until McD recently said Diggs has no injury. Prior to that, I figured the Bills could hide behind omission of truth. Now, they would be outright lying. That would not go over well with the league office. Im starting to think what McD said is true - we just aren’t going to him as much. FYI - The following is direct from the NFL:
  4. Because the point of the league is not to make the playoffs. I know there are some who believe “just make the playoffs every year and hope you get hot”. And I get the reasoning. But Nate Peterman (just to make up an example), is never winning you a Super Bowl, no matter how many playoff chances you give him. Nor is Tyrod Taylor. etc etc etc. So that logic doesn’t fly for me.
  5. I get what you’re saying (you will marry the ugly bride because you see no beautiful women on your horizon), but football teams always have the option to not do something stupid. The Giants had the option to not sign Daniel Jones. Browns had the option to not trade for Deshaun Watson. etc. I would rather enter the unknown than be chained to an mediocre guy.
  6. 31 years after the greatest comeback of all time, this season reminds me a bit of that game. Down 3 games in the division with 5 games to play, we play for the division this Sunday!
  7. I think the Dolphins game plan could involve a healthy dose of running the ball. Not Von’s strong suit at this point.
  8. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/dalvin-cook-jets-mutually-agree-to-part-ways Running back Dalvin Cook’s short tenure with the Jets is coming to an end. Cook’s agents at LAA Sports announced on Tuesday, via Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, that their client and the Jets have mutually agreed to part ways. The hope is for Cook to catch on with a team going to the playoffs and he will be subject to waivers once his departure from the Jets becomes official.
  9. I'll be surprised if the Ravens win a single playoff game. We have seen this movie before.
  10. I wonder if Diggs simply lost the ball in the sky, because that seemed pretty catchable to me. At worst it’s a slight dive and catch.
  11. 1) Here are the defensive rankings for each of the defenses. Didn’t bother with his rookie year, but 10 of his last 13 December games were against top 10 defenses. 2) 11 TD’s and 2 INT over his last 6 december games is pretty good… Update: one of the Jets is wrong. I missed that it was in January, making it the previous year season. Tough to edit the image on a phone so putting this edit in text.
  12. You feel the 5 yards would have made a difference on the punt? I’m not so sure.
  13. I like McD and want him to be the one who brings us home a Super Bowl. He is a good man. But there are still some gameday issues that bother me. For example, yesterday, when we did the whole “fake like you’re going to go for 4th and 1” game… why did he call a timeout? Just take the delay of game if you’re going to punt regardless. Save that timeout. The other flaw that bothers me is his persistence in keeping bad players on the field for too long. Von should have been sat weeks ago. I understand he is coming back from an industry but he is not helping us as a team yet. So sit him. Same with Murray. Stuff like that bugs me, but I guess no-one is perfect.
  14. Considering we won all 3 of the games he mentioned?
  15. Your argument was that Josh is not throwing to open guys. I asked you for examples. You provided an example where he threw to a wide open guy. You’re moving the goalposts. And that throw was one that Josh Allen can absolutely make as long as he sets his feet and throws with fundamentals. Heck, he almost made it while on the run! If you think these 2 defenders are letting him get more than 3 or 4 yards, well, I guess you don’t understand the speed of NFL defenders. He may have struggled to get much past the LOS. I’m ready for more examples. .
  16. Perfect example of not providing any context. Sure, the TE was open for a 3 yard gain. But so was the player Allen threw it to… Diggs had 2 steps on his defender and would have walked into the end zone with a better throw. Mahomes would have made the same decision - to throw to Diggs. You want to criticize Allen for not stopping, setting his feet, and then throwing it? Sure, go for it. I’d agree with you. But the decision itself was perfectly fine. He threw to a guy wide open downfield that would have been a TD instead of a 3 yard gain. If you want a QB that takes the 3 yard TE gain over the wide open receiver streaking downfield, then you want Tyrod Taylor back.
  17. Show me these examples so I can see what you are talking about. If it’s happening this often, it should be quite easy to find several examples. I watch ALL-22 for nearly every game and do not see what you are seeing.
  18. That’s EVERY single QB in NFL history. You could find these situations in every game for Brady, Elway, Marino, Kelly, etc. People just didn’t think about it because ALL-22 wasn’t as accessible back then. Almost every time someone writes something like this, I check the play and they conveniently forgot to mention the context. For example, Josh having two defenders about to hit him and he therefore didn’t have time to get through his progressions. Or the WR being the last read in that play. Or the receiver getting open after Allen already moved past that read (but was blanketed when Allen looked at him). I provided some context in this post: https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/252022-whats-wrong-with-the-passing-o/?do=findComment&comment=8831007
  19. Allen missing one or two plays (like ALL quarterbacks) does not negate the point that our receivers are not getting separation.
  20. I’m pretty sure this is just because it was a fake handoff and the runner was on that side..
  21. No he hasn’t. Not like this. Diggs averages 80%+ every season he has been in Buffalo. The past 3 games it has been 46%, 60%, and 65%. Thats his lowest three game total in his Bills career. By far.
  22. On the other hand, there were times when Brady drew up a really well designed play. For example, this pick play. It was ran perfectly on the weak side of the field and Shakir got wide open, but Allen simply never looked over there. He was locked onto the Diggs/Knox combo. Here is the full progression:
  23. New England was also holding a lot, and the refs were not calling it. Three examples (two in one play). None were within 5 yards of the LOS:
  24. I don’t know why people eye-rolled you. You’re 100% correct. Diggs, in the limited opportunities he is receiving, does not look like the Diggs we know. Whether that’s age, injury, double-coverage…. I don’t know. But he is currently a shell of what he was just earlier this season. I can only think of two plays yesterday where he got any separation. The deep pass where he couldn’t locate the ball, and another play where Allen didn’t throw to him but we saw it in the stadium. Separation really is lacking in this offense. Very very very little separation. And then on the plays where we do finally get separation, Allen has multiple defenders in his face and can’t get through his progressions. For example, look at Kincaid here (but also notice the two defenders about to crush Allen): And on this play, Dawkins got beat so bad (see half of his body in the upper right screen) that Allen was flushed from the pocket. But look at Knox wide open: I guess my TL;DR is this… We only seem to get separation when the play has developed for so long that the line breaks down. We can’t wait 4+seconds for guys to get open. And I do think Josh has to be a little more patient.
  25. I just watched the Ravens-Dolphins game, having only had seen the score prior. I expected compete domination. Instead, it wasn’t. Miami dropped a wide open TD that would have made it 17-7 Miami. That was the turning point of the game. Then after halftime, Baltimore returned a kickoff very deep and picked off Tua. It was a comedy of errors.
