Tightened the Mexican border.

The uneducated made the swing happen. Interesting. Those that will be most directly impacted by the tariffs. edit: sorry, not the “uneducated.” The non-college degreed folks. Trying to be less of a d!ck. But still, surprising that blue collar folks (if I can use that term) aren’t seeing how a Chinese embargo will hurt them. But the performance “art” the dems have been putting on for years is getting old, quick.

Interesting, but what would be more telling is a Pareto chart of volume or total spend by Americans to each country. Those two under “retaliated” aren’t Bahrain and Vatican City. By themselves, China and Canada make up a great portion of our imports. I think combined, they’re something like 24% of every import.

What the ***** is in the water in Butler? I mean there’s disagreeing with politics and there’s two dudes from the same podunk town of 18,000 people planning assassinations? Get together, you nut bags. The far left can’t cry about the far right when this ***** happens. (Happy to cry middle left to middle right myself. 😉)

I don’t? My entire family is teachers. They buy nearly everything for their classrooms while raising their families. And guess what? They don’t buy all “made in the USA” because they also need to pay their electric bill. They are middle class. They’ll be ok. But those that aren’t? They won’t. But you think I just have “tds” (durrrr). No, I have logic and reasoning and not a weird dedication to a politic figure. (Spoiler, I think Biden was awful so save your whataboutism). And I love the “it’s been three months.” Exactly. It’s only been three months of a lame duck president with a plan to… (still don’t know, as it changes daily. Is it that the market was already overpriced? China must be punished? bring jobs back to America? What’s the strategy today? Because one thing i do know is that the economy LOVES daily uncertainly. 🙄) But tell me again who I care about. Thanks.

I have no personal hysteria. Luckily I’m fine financially and can survive whatever Drumpf decides the flavor of the day is. I’m worried about those who aren’t as lucky as some of us and have to make difficult choices and truly believed we’d have “lower prices on day 1” only to see nearly every consumer product increase in price. That’s likely because they didn’t have even a basic understanding of what tariffs DO when voting for him, and believed it was really just “they charge us so we will charge them” not realizing that 100% of the time, the end consumer foots the bill. Maybe I have hysteria for those that were bamboozled by a billionaire.

That’s all you have? A trade embargo with China will be painful for low income families for as long as it lasts. Because again, they need to buy inexpensive household goods to stay afloat. A plan of “bringing those jobs back to America” will indeed hurt for years while the entire ***** thing is built. Unless, of course, this was really never about bringing jobs back to America. But I was told to “just trust the president” so it must be the case.
-
Maybe (and I only say maybe because American made goods will inherently and forever be more expensive). But let’s go with “Yes! MURCA!” In that case, Trump still put the cart before the horse. Why put his entire constituency through years of pain as they buy all their household necessities while the “plan” to bring the industry back to the US is executed; which will take years and hundreds of billions of dollars. And then prices will be higher even then because no American is lining up to put widgets on shoes for $7/hr (though they might if they have to face the tariff pain that long).

You have to be trolling. Just avoid Chinese made goods? Do you know how impossible that will be for those who this truly impacts - the poor and lower middle class. They shop at one place as much as any - Walmart. And SIXTY percent of everything in that store it made in…. wait for it … CHINA. I assume you just want them to “toughen up” and forget that they are currently deciding between groceries (an old fashioned term according to Trump) and their car payment, and on top of that shop at local businesses that make everything (soup to nuts in the supply chain) in America. Problem with that? Those items are multiples more expensive. For example, I go to my local farmers market every weekend and this Saturday I bought a nice pen from a vendor who makes them right here. Paid $33 for it. You think the family of five who just wants to get pens for their kids’ backpacks are going to do that? No, they will go to Walmart and buy a 10 pack of whatever they can, and those will be made in China. And they will now be double the price. That’s ONE example. A pen. Now extrapolate that to every item they need to survive (or maybe thrive, but I don’t want to get greedy). Until we have pen factories - and a factory that makes every consumer good that family needs , and to scale so prices are similar to what they could get before, this does nothing but HURT the average American. But according to MAGA, “just don’t buy stuff made in China.” If that was truly the goal, the orange freak would have made sure we had at least SOME of the infrastructure in place before the tariffs. Look through your house and throw away everything made in China or that any part of the supply chain touched China. You’d shouldn’t be - but you would - surprised at the amount. Do I think “everything made in America” sounds great? I mean, I guess. But at what cost? A decade of pain for the core group that voted for Drumpf and then were left with what? A plethora of blue collar jobs that still pay multiples of what we pay China, and prices are still higher. But at least - after a decade - they have a job making pens - for $20/hr. But like you said, it’s simple, just don’t buy anything from China….

How can you look at the surgical precision with which Trump has worked this week and say he doesn’t have a plan? 😉😂 His plan may have included heavy doses of insider trading: “hey fellow cronies, ya know how I put tariffs on every country - regardless if humans lived there - and the market tanked over 72 hours? Well tomorrow I’m going to pause them, so BUY BUY BUY!” A plan. That’s a hoot!

Uh durrrrrr…. You’re so far out of your element here. Some of your comments on tariffs made me think you’re in grade school, since even a basic high school education would prevent some of your embarrassing remarks. This is starting to make me think you might actually be. So this will be my last comment just in case. Rare to call someone a dufus and it fits so well. Anything else to add that isn’t a meme comment? Stay in school, kids.

i thought you were joking… you were not. first graders learning all about steak sauce. 😂😂😂😂 A1!!! And she’s the leader! Hahaha. No wonder these dolts who are pushing for more American manufacturing jobs - that will mostly be replaced by robotics and “A1” - support her. Holy sh!t. AI is talked about DAILY in most industries and the head of Education for the country read it once, couldn’t figure out that the “1” she saw was actually and “I” and then goes on stage to talk about how great it is. This is too good. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTjeyw8JT/

😂😂😂 Sub humans 😂😂😂😂😂 Hey pal, why don’t you paste a link to anything you posted in the last month that had anything of actual substance and wasn’t the right wing “hive think” or a sophomoric insult. It’s ok, buddy, I know you won’t since I’m “sub human.” What a ***** clown show. And I’m not quite sure you know the meaning of creepy, bud. Check out your de facto leader using the word “glory hole” in every third post. But mine calling you a snowflake is creepy? I’ll continue to engage folks like @B-Man who can have adult conversations. Even though him and I can take jabs at each other, we can also see through that and ask and answer a question. Seems like a guy with a solid head on his shoulders and has actually changed my opinion on some things (which, stupidly, I thought was a goal of this cesspool of a sub-forum.) Ok, that’s enough niceness, F you B-Man. 😉 But I won’t block you, chief, because 1) I’m not a snowflake like you, and 2) I love watching the thoughts of the Trump electorate. It’s like watching early man. Educational. ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️ -
‘Murca. “if the people I don’t agree with are mad, I win!” logical standpoint… for a 5 year old.
