I think Allen actually gets roughing the passer calls much more than Mahomes. Mahomes is the absolute king of ticky tacky defensive holding on third down though, so get ready for a couple of those.

He was having a really bad season, maybe he was playing through an injury this entire time.

I don't think we necessarily need a high volume of "deep" passes to boundary WRs. But we have almost no passes to boundary WRs that aren't within 5 yards of the LOS, and when we do throw 10+ yards to a boundary WR during any time this season that wasn't the 4th quarter of the Ravens game we've had little success. It's a problem, because it allows defensive coordinators to clog up the middle and stop the run and basically dare you to throw to the outside. The Texans did this masterfully last season. The Bills answer to this has been to have long 10+ play drives with many first downs in order to score a TD. That gives almost no margin for error, and a single negative play or penalty kills the drive. Being a well rounded team is important so a good DC can't just take away what you are good at.

Sacks are not considered in passer rating. So if, theoretically, maintaining a high passer rating was important to you, it would be better to eat a sack rather than throw it away or throw a contested pass. So many college wide open players around the league. It just looks easy.

That screen was a perfect play call away from the blitz

A fumble inside the 10 and a missed chip shot FG is a 10 point swing. It really boils down to that.

Especially on Thursday night. These games are always ugly and frequently low scoring. Just take the points.

Didn't the Miami kicker get a 70 yarder in the preseason? That would have been a 68 yarder.

I kind of wonder if it just costs more money to have more production people putting together these replay clips in real time. Might be cost cutting. The graphics created ahead of time can be outsourced to very cheap labor. On Monday night football a couple weeks ago we got like 2 replays the entire first half, it was jarring.

Dolphins defense has really only given up one scoring drive (I'm not going to hold a 7 yard TD drive against them when they got the Ravens into 4th and goal).

The thing I don't like about that play is you really need to see the leg whip to call it. There is no way the ref saw the leg whip because there was none.

Hardly ever hear the "rules expert" disagree with the refs on the field so strongly like that.

Importantly Mahomes doesn't have to face Spags. Everybody after the game said that was a really unusual blitz that went against what they did the entire game, and they had several bluffs beforehand to keep Allen guessing.
