  1. I’d like to see McDermott axed, Frasier brought back for the rest of the season as DC and - before the Wolverines furore - Harbaugh brought in as HC. Give Dorsey until the end of the season to sort things out with a HC who has offense in mind. If it doesn’t work out, let him go too. But Frasier may not want to come back and, as said, there are issues surrounding Harbaugh so…
  2. So basically, it’s Terry decision whether to axe McDermott and Beane will be left out of it. Considering McDermott encouraged the hire of Beane, that makes sense.
  3. Are we sure they haven’t muddled Brown and Torrence up?
  4. Beane is GM. He needs to hold rank over McDermott just as Dorsey needs to hold rank over Josh, even though Josh pushed for him to get the job.
  5. I think the issues with Josh are deeper and commitment to the role is nothing to do with it. I think last year affected the whole franchise badly mentally and I'm not sure whether everyone is fully with it. My belief is Josh made exactly the right decision taking a step back from football across the post season, and those saying "he's not working hard enough" are using it as a quick excuse rather than looking at deeper issues at Two Bills Drive which go well beyond the QB. But those who claim he isn't working hard enough should own it and what they're actually alluding to. Not the cheap "Hollywood" jibes which are starting to get under my skin.
  6. Yes. I can understand the argument that Kyle Allen at QB could have won the Jets game, taking the Bills to 6-3, but would he have led them to victory in any of the other games? Especially the Dolphins and the Bucs.
  7. Not in the media - on here. Take a look at the Why Does Josh hesitate now thread. "He is not doing the work leading up to the games and pre-snap so he has to find solutions during live fire." "Josh isn't prepared like a top-end NFL QB should be with justification that he doesn't need as much prep because teams play him different than other QB's. Not ideal." "A couple weeks ago there was a story mentioned on ESPN about Joe Burrow's parents being in Cincinnati between games and calling Joe for a visit. He reportedly turned them down and said he didn't have time and needed to concentrate on the upcoming game. So he blew his parents off. That's a douchey move imo. Seeing the link made me thing of that! ESPN made it sound like Joe is so laser focused on football and wanting to be the best, that's all." "I don't believe Josh Allen is putting in the work needed anymore to become a great Quarterback, and has become totally reliant on his physical abilities."
  8. Dolphins in Week 18 as they'll be playing their back ups to prepare for the play offs.
  9. It all stems from the post season - "he spent too much time filming adverts, dating an actress, playing golf rather than concentrating on football." In truth, after the mess of 2022 and what happened to Hamlin, I wouldn't blame any Bills player if they wanted a complete break from the game for the post season.
  10. To me, it feels like that’s where some fans are, even if they’re not saying it explicitly.
  11. After every defeat - and sadly there has been a few this season - it feels like people make jibes at Josh’s work ethic, and that he doesn’t do enough off the field to help himself on it. For me, if that is the case (and I’m not someone who subscribes to that line of thought) then surely that indicates he has been at best distracted, or at worse has lost passion, for football and/or the Bills? So I guess my question for those who say that Josh’s approach to the pre-season and possibly since has affected him going forward, are you concerned that Josh does lack commitment to either the Bills and/or football and, if so, what can be done to get it back? ETA after a couple of reactions - I do not think this. But I've seen so many comments made about watching film and his post season routine last time out that I want to see if some fans are willing to accept that, when saying he doesn't do enough work, it's accusing him of something deeper.
  12. You really think the solution to the current malaise is trade Josh?
  13. How easy do you think it would be for the Bills to find a QB of Josh's calibre, let alone better?
  14. You wouldn't like to see if a change of coaching staff could unlock Josh's full potential first?
  15. The truth is, the Bills are probably down one more than loss than expected. I think many of us thought a Rodgers-led Jets could win in week one. London was always going to be a potential headache. Did many of us predict a win at the Bengals? I didn't. Week one stinks because the Bills had the chance to get ahead of the mark when Rodgers went down and Josh messed it up. Then came the defeat at Foxborough, which is the big issue. At the start of the season most would have expected the Bills to be 6-3 now at worst, I imagine - maybe 5-4 if they feared a home defeat to the Dolphins. To make it up, there needs to be a surprise result somewhere, without throwing away - figuratively and literally - games they should win. They tend to play the Chiefs and Dolphins hard. Maybe it will happen again?
  16. But it's alright as the Head Coach - who should be overseeing every aspect of the game, including the OC/play calls etc. - apparently has no idea why the Bills are not using hurry up offense.
  17. @HopefulFuture - if the Bills trade Josh there's no guarantee they'll find someone better in the trade. Despite his issues, he's in the top five, being generous possibly top three, QBs in the league right now. That's not easy to replace.
  18. The bugbear is why the inconsistency? Come out hot, everything looks easy. Second half, fumble aside, everything looks relatively comfortable. What happened for the rest of the first and second quarters? And why is it seen so often.
  19. I'm hoping Broncos beating the Chiefs is going to be similar to the Bills beating the Dolphins - they go to sleep afterwards as that was the game they wanted. Admittedly injuries have not helped post Dolphins.
  20. Make games shootouts. The defense cannot force turnovers for anything at the moment so let the offense take the preferred approach. If it means games are 38-35 instead of 24-18 so be it.
  21. The way this offense sustains drives is non-conventional when wanting to dominate TOP. The usual approach would be to run more than throw, use every second of the play clock and don't take unnecessary risks. The strength of this offense is to go no huddle with risky plays, keeping everything uptempo. Dorsey initiated this on the first drive, and then abandoned it. Why? McDermott and Josh both say they don't why it was moved away from - did neither think to ask, if so? Josh may not feel in a position to challenge but McDermott certainly is. For e, a conventional approach on TOP offense feels like something which is more from McDemott's wheelhouse than Dorsey's. That's why I don't believe him when he "didn't know". And if it was really the case, as said, why didn't he ask and pull rank? Non-coaching minds all over can see the best approach so having a defensive minded Head Coach point it out shouldn't be unexpected. Can't imagine last night was either considering he came out hot. Changing the design of the offense after the first drive was the issue. When they returned to it in the second half suddenly Josh looked nearer his best again. Funny that.
  22. Because the defense has been in a better shape than now. And I think something may have changed after the Jets game as well, which was probably the first defeat of the Josh era which could be put solely on him. If McDermott isn't dumb then it's Dorsey. One of them is getting it wrong and I'm finding it easier to believe it's McDermott than Dorsey. Either way the offense needs to be allowed to take the approach which suits it best.
  23. Kind of proves my point. Generally the run game, huddles and short passes burns the clock more effectively than uptempo, no huddle - but not for the Bills. I think McDermott is stuck on conventional wisdom.
