  1. Plus the question of why the Bills keep abandoning the fast tempo offense which works. I wonder if it was his decision to keep Cook off the field until midway through the second quarter after the fumble? I won’t be crying if Dorsey goes, but only if it’s alongside McDermott. If they cut Dorsey and keep McDermott them the same issues will keep on happening.
  2. I have more faith in Dorsey than McDermott now, purely because of his “score too fast” comment. McDermott will try and have the offense under even more of a leash than it is now and, as it is, it’s a mess.
  3. The loss to the Pats at OP last year was the Wind Game, wasn’t it?
  4. I’d keep Beane - I think he is a decent GM. Both him and McDermott have a direct line to Pegula can axe the latter without involving the former. And that’s what he should do.
  5. With that response is ANYONE still confused about what the heck is wrong with the offense right now? Not only do they have to score, they have to do it in the ‘right’ way. And, despite no huddle, uptempo play working this season, it has to be abandoned because they may score too fast. Please, McDermott, do everyone a favo(u)r and resign.
  6. I don’t want to edit the original post but every player looks unfocused and on edge coming out onto the field. I wondered what was the issue with preparation but, after McDermott’s ridiculous press conference, I sort of understand. Feels like a fear of failure is creating failure, and that comes from the top.
  7. McDermott is a joke. OK, there were execution errors out there where, if one didn’t happen, the Bills would have won. But… - Who kept Cook off the field for three offensive series after the fumble? - Who abandoned the run game despite it working more than the pass? - Why was the offense so low tempo for all drives but three? Oh, guess which ones they scored from - Who called the ridiculous blitz at 3 and 10 with the Broncos out of FG range? - Is there no one on the coaching staff who can count to twelve after a timeout? McDermott has to go before the Jets. I’d actually give Dorsey more time, but they need someone on Josh’s wavelength in the locker room.
  8. How many times have the offense left the field in the 4th with a lead and the defense gift it back? Offense was poor tonight, granted. But the defense choked when it matters - injuries or no injuries. What was that play call?
  9. Everyone seems to be blaming Josh. But is that alongside the rest? As said, he actually had a good half beyond that one boneheaded throw. Sorry that the two TBD heroes Cook and Kincaid (alongside Davis and Murray) can't hold on to/catch the ball when they needed to. Does that absolve Josh from blame? No. Is there plenty of blame to share around? Yes.
  10. Maybe "homers" just blame Josh for stuff he's at fault for, rather than everything?
  11. Two of them were not his fault. Or at least not primarily. That last one was.
  12. Josh actually had been ok tonight. Until that.
  13. If execution issues were a one off I'd agree with you. They're not. The Bills could scrape home here but issues remain.
  14. Oh look, a competent offensive drive. *Looks out of the window for a flying pig*
  15. Do you think the players looked prepared tonight?
  16. Are you watching the same game? If players could catch the ball Josh would have a good record this evening. The hatred of him is becoming concerning.
  17. It's up to the coaching to prepare the players. When was the last time the Bills came out looking prepared from the start?
  18. Probably an administrative error - they meant to cut the other Jones on the roster.
  19. Josh to look like he's enjoying himself, and has almost returned to a carefree approach. It feels like he's overthinking at the moment and that's cuasing more problems than they're solving.
  20. 6-3 is 0.667, 6-4 is 0.600, so the Dolphins would remain ahead.
  21. With my soccer team, there was a saying "It's the hope that gets you". As a fanbase, we still have hope. The Bills can still make the play offs. They still have the potential to run hot. The hope is there, even if it hasn't been seen on the field. A defeat tonight will mean, as a fanbase, we can probably look forward to 2024 rather than focus on 2023. In all liklihood, time will be up for this year. The hope will be all but extinguished. Perhaps it will be the perfect time for a new start. I can understand why, to some, that looks attractive compared to a death of a thousand cuts where the Bills limp on, prolonging the agony until they find the likes of the Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys, Chargers and Dolphins too much to handle. Of course, the perfect result would be they find form, only lose one or two games across the rest of the season and secure the most unlikely of Super Bowls win.
  22. Tonight's the night - the season is prolonged with a win; it's over with a defeat. There will be clearer vision heading into the game against the Jets, where the Bills will return to this position with a victory tonight. If they lose, then IMO it's time to move on from McDermott and allow his replacement to have the rest of the season to make decisions for 2024. And as we'd need a DC in the interim, promote from within or ask Frasier to come back short term.
  23. Only if he'd have a positive impact on Josh being there.
  24. I know Josh is getting a lot of criticism for not being a film guy, but I'm starting to wonder if anyone at TBD is, for this very reason. It doesn't feel like the Bills try to target opposition weakness as much as they should.
  25. For me: Broncos - W Jets - W Eagles - L Chiefs - L Cowboys - W Chargers - W (both them and the Bills are so badly coached this could go either way) Pats - W Dolphins - L The Cowboys is the key matchup as it is a possible loss, and would be the difference between 10-7 and 9-8. The Bills are capable of a shock, and tend to play the Chiefs hard, so could be a surprise win there but not holding my breath.
