  1. I think it was split over Araiza’s perceived guilt, more than his position on the team. I guess when it first came out it was split but, as time went on (bearing in mind it was only three days between the news being released and him being cut) and the furore around the team grew, more and more people realised it was not workable for the team and would have been unimpressed had he been kept on.
  2. If it was Tua, then rule him out for the rest of the season. Firstly, it protects him; secondly it sends a message to every other player to put their safety first, otherwise the risk is this continues. And whatever Tua said, everyone watching could see it was concussion, not his back, so the franchise trying to fob everyone off doesn’t wash.
  3. I disagree - remember how strongly most of us went against the management when it looked like Araiza might play against the Panthers, after everything came out. As a fan base, I think we’re very prepared to against the team if we feel they’re stepping away from a moral base and, had that been Josh instead of Tua, we would have been laying into McDermott and Dorsey for putting him out there instead of doubling down on one of the weakest excuses ever given.
  4. Timings as well - don't think our offense has been on the field for 40+ minutes in previous games?
  5. If they're honest, I doubt many Dolphins fans believe the back spasm excuse either.
  6. Maybe I'm overly cynical but, with Bills2022 being a new member, I have to wonder... actually a Bill? As they seem desperate to shut down any discussion about Sunday beyond the Bills choking. Because we did make elementary mistakes. But I'd argue that one of the key reasons why we made errors on offense was due to heat exhaustion, especially when we lost players in the 4th Quarter. Josh was out there more than anyone, was reportedly seen being sick on the sidelines, yet we expect him to throw properly every time? Davis' ankle was still not right and dropped a ball, Diggs was on two IV drips and dropped a ball... Considering the less time on they had on the field I'd point the finger more at Bass and Milano for the loss but anyone who says heat didn't play a part wasn't following the game properly.
  7. It's not preventing the injury, it's what happened afterwards. Big Turk stated that , on WGR, they said he was injured in the game but carried on playing. As atlbillsfan1975 asked, I'm not sure if the Bills were aware or Doyle complained of injury until after the game.
  8. It's even made the mainstream media over here. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/sep/30/tua-tagovailoa-miami-dolphins-concussion-head-injury If the link doesn't work, let me know and I can post the article.
  9. I read someone say that we put Doyle out there with an ACL over Brown - I wsn't sure at the time how true that was. Injury is still injury though, yes, concerns around concussion carries extra weight.
  10. The world is naturally heating up. Weather conditions will be warmer now than they were six years ago at Hard Rock, and it sounds like Sunday was especially tough. If we has made one less mistake and won because of it, would be considering this? Depends, we would have still seen players drop one after the other and Josh reportedly throwing up on the sidelines. Winning 22-21 or losing 21-19 doesn't change that. Two events at Hard Rock last weekend have shone the spotlight on player safety. It is up to the NFL how they wish to react to it. Certainly, Tua's situation has gained more attention than the shade against no shade situation.
  11. Maybe they're still trying to pass it off as a back injury? This is starting to remind me of the Black Knight in Monty Python. I don't know when we were aware of his injury - did we put him out there knowing he was hurt or did it happen/only come to light after the game? I have no idea.
  12. Was just wondering what McDermott would say if they somehow injured Josh! I'm assuming he isn't a singer? 😁
  13. In other words "Please let him play against the Jets". We all know what the Dolphins represent - wins before people.
  14. Can we release him from the practice squad and get someone else in who is not injured?
  15. I know I keep repeating myself but, just before the season started, being exceptionally pessimistic, I had us at potentially 2-5 before winning the remainder, except maybe the Bengals game. That would leave us on 12-5/11-6 and a good bet for the play offs. The Ravens I had down as a loss so, to me, Sunday isn’t the be all and end all, especially as the Dolphins lost yesterday. That does not mean I won’t have an emotional over-reaction if we do lose, though!
  16. Because even the Dolphins originally said it was a head injury?
  17. Whilst I appreciate the point what was known about Doyle’s fitness when we put him on the field late on? At what point did he pick up the torn ACL?
  18. Even if the independent neurologist had somehow cleared Tua on Sunday, surely eyesight alone would say to keep him off the field of play? Even if they believed it was his back, it’s still a sensitive area of the body where further, serious, trauma could lead to paralysis. Yet they still thought, “He’s fine, get him out there”? I’m glad Tua is out of hospital and I wish him a speedy recovery. But it’s horrible to think that all of this suggests they cared more about defeating the Bills and the Bengals than the health of their players.
  19. Yeah. To this day I have no idea why we wasted cap space on Sam Martin.
  20. I'd forgotten that - perhaps we should consider putting Keenum on the field with Josh to tell him what to do?
  21. So, reading the forum, we have a Quarterback who consistently fumbles, a non-existent O Line, a reserve secondary and lack a run game. Yet we're favourites to win on Sunday?
  22. ... We have a running game?
  23. I'm not sure if anyone is saying Knox is playing badly? More that he is being utilised differently.
