  1. I agree, the defeat wasn't on the defense's performance on the field. I do think we play called to keep the offense out there as long as possible to protect the defense, though - to the point where they were mentally and physically exhausted, unable to perform to the best of their ability.
  2. I'm not sure why we would be 4th in YAC. Anyone got any ideas?
  3. Yes, that's pretty astounding. No DPI or Holding on 63 passing plays? Remarkable. Would love to know the record of passes without any defensive penalties. Of course, I'm sure it was all above board and the Dolphins didn't get away with anything...
  4. Record is 14-1 in our favour in terms of multiple score games but 0-7 when it comes to one score games. We just need to be able to get over the line more than once in eight. The 2020 season was good in this respect, so not sure why things haven't fallen in our favour. I disregard everything I said in the opening post as an over-emotional stupid outburst except this. When it gets close, we need to get over the line more often.
  5. How is too many injuries could result in the season being at risk a hot take? Bearing in mind I posted this when every twitter update seemed to be someone else being injured (Benford, Bates and Doyle in quick succession).
  6. Think that’s why, I’m the cold light of day, I’d point the finger more at Bass and Milano than the offensive players, due to less time on the field.
  7. He'll still be allowed to play, even headless.
  8. Holding it against a lot of the starters. I think that's the worse thing; if we lost because of a back up error it'd be more understandable. But... - Josh's poor throw - McKenzie not getting out of bounds - Diggs drop - Davis drop - Bass field goal miss - Milano's drop on a potential pick six And if just Josh's throw had made it to McKenzie, or Bass had made the field goal, or if Milano had made the pixk six, and all other things remained equal we would have one. Just one. That's the most galling thing. Of course it's not down to Josh we lost. But too many simple mistakes were made to win.
  9. Other than Brandt briefly mentioning us being 'gassed', no reference to the fact Tua was facing a reserve secondary for the second week in a row and the O Line checked out in the fourth quarter, creating issues with production. At least they didn't say the Dolphins are complete but very poor otherwise.
  10. Have we really got to the point of reviewing the weather from September 2021? 😅
  11. Rams elected to take a safety against the Falcons last week.
  12. Tua: Thanks, Marilyn Monroe. *Stumbles out of medical room*
  13. Benford's been a real find - hope he's better soon. He could be back for the Chiefs?
  14. Other than the 3 & 22, Tua didn't look overly comfortable out there. It's why I thought he was still concussed.
  15. We're at a point where we can't just pick players because they have special team experience. We're running out of bodies.
  16. In their defence (I feel dirty) an unafilliated doctor is required to check and clear any player who leaves the pitch with beleived concussion. Peter King stated that the doctor saw Tua before he returned to the game.
  17. Orchard Park Medical Centre? Highmark Hospital?
  18. Josh must not win the MVP this year. Those who vote must forget the rest of the game and just remember the underthrow to McKenzie. (Though in all seriousness they just might forget everything but errant throw)
  19. Anyone else close to hysterical laughter? Get well soon, Tommy.
  20. Though we have to MAKE the Play Offs. Too many more injuries and we many struggle to do that.
  21. I do think a lot of mistakes on offense, particularly late on, were down to mental and physical fatigue though. Bass and Milano didn't have as much of an excuse.
  22. Were the offensive players going down with cramp and heat exhaustion last year?
  23. Though I did suggest a reason why last year could be treated differently to this year regarding the heat. As shown by the quarterback not vomiting on the sidelines in 2021, or people cramping up and struggling from it.
