Report: Terry McLaurin requests trade
Buffalo4Life01 replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's hard to argue against the facts you present and I'm not faulting Josh or the offense at all. I just remember watching the game and feeling like every yard gained, every first down, the offense had to try really, really hard to make it happen. Most of the scripted and scheduled plays didn't work well or seemed very difficult while some of the off schedule plays kept things going. I still feel like having a true alpha male wr1 with the ability to win one on one or go up and grab contested balls is something this offense is missing (and definitely was missing last season. Keon might end up being a star but he is no where near there right now). I don't agree with you that the offense had an excellent game. They played pretty well all things considered but left way too many plays on the field. -
Training camp a rainy July 31 2025 day

He's referring to Benford, but Bosa is a good guess! -
I think what he is trying to say is only what we have all noticed over the duration of his career with our own eyes. On what most people refer to as 'bombs', Allen struggles with giving his receiver a catchable ball. Most of the time he doesn't put enough air under it and he overthrows his target or when he puts the ball slightly off target to either side, again, not enough air under the ball so it's very difficult for the receiver to track it and reposition his body to make the catch. No one is saying Allen can't throw a deep pass well. He throws those 15-30 yard frozen ropes on target as well or better than any QB in the league. It's the 'bomb's that he has always really struggled with.

haha. Just playing devils advocate. I love Josh. It's no secret that he struggled against the Raven's defense last season, as did a lot of teams that played them. Hopefully they come up with a much better game plan for week one. Go Bills!!

Wish He would have picked them apart either one of the two games he played against them last season

but our guy tossed 3 pics in yesterday's practice. doomed!!!!! =P

haha. I've seen the Peter Pan guy floating around this message board for years now. Does anyone know who started it or why it started?

Pittsburg is stock piling picks for next year's draft where they will trade up and get a QB. I don't find this move surprising at all. For NOW at least it weakens another AFC opponent.

What is your favorite totally random Bills game?
Buffalo4Life01 replied to T.E.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Great game and I remember that stretch of games exactly the same. Buffalo had the running game rolling at that point and Bledsoe was basically playing the roll of steady game manager. The defense was playing very well also. I also felt like if Buffalo would have made the playoffs, they were a hot team more than capable of goin on a run. Just found this blurb regarding the 2004 season on Wikipedia: '"According to Football Outsiders, who has tracked every play in the NFL since the early 1990s, the 2004 Bills were statistically the best NFL team (in their record-keeping history) to have failed to qualify for the playoffs" -
This right here. Great points you bring up and it's all very evident from watching the tape. Needs to improve getting off press man and working with his hands along with elevating more timely. That said, what has me hopeful and even cautiously optimistic is the fact that he flashed more than enough before the injury to show what he can do on the field and what he can become with more practice and more time to work on his craft. Does he have the motivation to elevate his game and become great? Time will tell.

I keep hearing the Bills are in love with Josh Farmer, the DT from FSU. If he is there when Buffalo is on the clock at pick 56, don't be surprised if he's the pick. I'm reading he isn't flashy or elite but may be the most consistent DT in the draft. Very intriguing prospect in my opinion. Go Bills!!

Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
Buffalo4Life01 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I trust our FO to find solid talent in the middle rounds of the draft for CB if they choose not to take one in the 1st or 2nd rounds. Besides, they can take cb's early all day long if they want to but until they get better upfront and consistently pressure the qb/sacks, it's not goin to matter how good the secondary is. I'm still hoping they take the best DT available in round 1 and corner in the 2nd round. GO Bills!! -
Interesting Eric Moulds stat
Buffalo4Life01 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moulds and Lee Evans were both bright spots for us during those drought years. And both were criminally underrated in my opinion. -
Your thoughts on the Bills offseason so far
Buffalo4Life01 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we won the offseason again! -
I don't have a fascination with wanting to have a 'name' receiver'. I don't think anyone on this board does either. It's a desire to have a much better receiving group than what we have now, especially one with more speed and ability to separate. If people think the receiving weapons we have now are going to keep defensive coordinators up at night, I don't know what to tell you....
-
Exactly! And no one is bringing up the handful of awful overthrows by Allen to Kincaid including the one that led to Dalton getting hurt on what should have been a walk in touchdown (he was wide open).
-
If we go into the season with only our current crop of wr's we are absolutely banking on HUGE progress being made by Coleman and Kincaid. Also, availability all season long. Imagine if Shakir misses extended time? I just can't fathom Buffalo not pulling off a trade or drafting a wr 2nd or 3rd round that they believe can come in and contribute immediately.
-
This is a really simple topic and something I just wanted to throw out there to see how everyone is feeling regarding the current crop of weapons Allen has to distribute the ball to this season. How are we feeling with Shakir, Coleman, Palmer, and Curtis Samuel as Allen's wide receivers heading into the season? Feesl a tad underwhelming to me even if we also factor in Kincaid and Knox. Does anyone think Buffalo is planning on drafting a wr early or trading for one or is this group most likely what we have to work with this season?
-
Anyone think we trade up into the 1st round to go after a CB or DT or do you see Beane staying put this year? I certainly don't see us trading back this time...

and a starting cb #2
-
Everyone relax. Dane is being brought in to provide depth at the cb position. He knows the system in Buffalo and is an upgrade over Elam. For those saying he couldn't crack a starting spot in Carolina, he started off the season on injured reserve and that really derailed any momentum he certainly would have had going into the season. It's a solid depth signing at a position of need. It doesn't stop the need for cb #2 but it does give some reassurance that he is capable of stepping into that role during the season if the need arises.
-
He has most certainly lost a step but you can absolutely do a lot worse at receiver than Amari Cooper. I 100% believe he played through injuries last season that really hampered him and slowed him down. I'd love to see him brought back on a reasonable contract.
