  1. Sad indeed. If there was ever a man not to be trusted, Trump is he. Possible, but I would think unlikely. Not his style to be in the back seat.
  2. The Bills attended Manziel's Pro Day Extravaganza primarily to look at Mike Evans, according to their own statements. They may not bring him in, but could still be interested. Personally, I think they are not looking at Evans number 1.
  3. It certainly makes much more sense than the Bills actually being interested in trading for Johnson, which makes no sense at all.
  4. This may be true but has nothing to do with Mike Williams. This was a trade.
  5. I hope you are wrong but I also fear this temptation. The Bills have no business considering anything besides OL or WR/TE with the first two picks, in any order. The need a premium OL prospect with one of these picks, preferably a tackle. I think the may have set themselves up reasonably well this offseason for a trade down in round 1 that could still yield them what they need plus another premium pick.
  6. By the way 26CB, thanks very much for keeping thus thread up to date with the latest.
  7. It is absolutely not an issue right now. I do not see a downside here, unless someone is worried about the 6th round CB they would have taken.
  8. I love the aggressiveness of the Bills this offseason. Love it. These moves may not work out, but they cannot be faulted for the way they have gone after filling holes. This is yet another potential high reward move at low risk.
  9. They have a total of 30 pre-draft visits allowed.
  10. Completely unsubstantiated rumor. I doubt he was required to read defenses at all in college. I would expect a high degree of "busted plays" when you look at one read, or maybe two. Once he decides to move, every play is going to look like a fire drill, but how often was that because coverage was inadequate vs. his initial receiver was not open on first look? This kid, like virtually all college QBs, is going to have a big learning curve, and athleticism is only going to take him so far. His image polishing work recently aside, along with the scripted and carefully managed pro day, may end up fooling someone at the top of the draft, but he is far from a "can't miss" type you would want to spend a top draft choice on, IMO, which admittedly is not one of an expert. I just do not like him or his game.
  11. The Redskins are actually a good fit for him, much better than Buffalo.
  12. I forgot about that. Just in general, he would not seem to be the type of guy the boys want in their little club, but eventually money talks. Nor is he the silent partner type.
  13. He said he would be interested in looking at it. I am not sure how comfortable I would be if Donald Trump were the "Angel" being counted on to do the right thing and keep the team in Buffalo, but I guess it is good news that there is interest. Also, obviously, hard to tell if the Donald is telling the truth or just pumping up his own self importance, but it was an interesting interview none the less.
  14. I think the idea that the Bills are trying to move up is suspect at best. That said, I would not be surprised if they were floating the idea, having conversations, etc. Gamesmanship.
  15. This does not make any sense - foregoing players to fill holes now in the hope that you will be awarded a 3rd round draft choice next year. How does that equate to the FO being able to compete? It seems the opposite to me. Exactly. Glad he did not at this point obviously. Even without the injury, I think Branch is the better player so the Bills ended up in a better position anyway.
  16. Just because he is "unlucky" enough to be famous, and just because it happens all the time, does not make him any less a scumbag. Stay classey.
  17. The Redskins have turned the corner? That would be news to fans of the 3-13 Redskins. Otherwise, agree with your point. You cannot buy a championship in the NFL.
  18. Yes, Jim Kelly had arrogance born of supreme confidence in his own abilities. He also had size, skill, high football IQ, and exuded leadership. I just do not see the same qualities in Manziel, other than the arrogance. Compare to Russel Wilson for example - which would you rather have? He may grow up some day but at what cost in the meantime? I think he will be overmatched at the next level physically as well. I guess we will see, because someone is surely going to take him fairly high. I hope it is not the Bills.
  19. I thought so too. Very typical of Toronto media.
  20. He appeared to be what he he always has appeared to be - an arrogant, immature, jerk.
