  1. Need to keep our collective fingers crossed that arbitration is avoided before tomorrow. The Yankees need to give Judge a very favorable deal
  2. I started on netfixs' "gods favorite idiot". It starts Ben falcone and wife Melissa McCarthy, among others. I'm 5 episodes in and I'm really enjoying it. Interesting premise, pretty damned funny. Admittedly, I think Melissa McCarthy is absolutely hilarious, I know others don't. The episodes are short, there's a lot of humor outside of the 2 marquis stars.
  3. I need to seek out Jamie Jones in the Philadelphia area
  4. As long as he leaves that talentless wife at home 😁
  5. Concert season started for me yesterday with a street festival in my area, Melvin Seals and JGB, Jade Bird, Yellowman and a few others. I was there for Melvin and Jade, they absolutely killed it. Then today John Kadlecik (who played with Melvin last night) did a small acoustic set at a bar near me. A nice 4pm set to close the weekend!
  6. 2nd episode was much better than the first. I think the key is separating shoresy from both letterkenny shoresy and Wayne. He's a completely different character
  7. It is a rough one. One of the biggest issues with my parents is my Mom is 81 going on 50, she can’t slow her vibrancy down, frustrates the f*** out of both. I went up to help them out for a week a few weeks ago. I saw very positive progress in very short order, but with every great day comes a challenging day. New neurologist who specializes in movement disorders is coming on board next week. I’m looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table. My Dad was going to a Parkinson’s centric boxing class pre-knee replacement, he’s almost to a point to go back and that will be a huge milestone, both physically and mentally for both my parents
  8. My Dad is struggling with Parkinson’s/movement disorder. Otherwise healthy but damn it’s really slowing him down. Having knee replacement a month ago is adding to his woes, but he’s working with specialists to try and minimize the effects. Fingers crossed
  9. I've actually started consuming more fermented foods rather than supplements, been reading and hearing a lot about gut bacteria and how important it seems to be to overall health. I got some milk kefir grains from a Mennonite farm, kombucha starter on Friday, making and eating a lotof fermented vegetables as well. So far results look promising in a small sample set. We'll see how it goes over time
  10. Another network show that I'm watching on Hulu. Flatch, it's pretty damned funny. I get a corner gas/letterkenny vibe from it, mostly because of the small town aspect of it, stifler is the only actor I recognize, and he's even pretty much a supporting role. I'm about 6 episodes in and am really enjoying it
  11. I'm a hicks and gallo fan, but it's time to think before we lose andujar. I get the contracts are big factors but I'd hate to see miggy leave like that, not that the Yankees are going to just let him leave
  12. Just started E1 of apple+ prehistoric earth with David Attenborough and done by Jon favreau. I would watch Attenborough narrate paint drying. The cinematography and CGI is visually stunning. I think it's 5 45-60 minute episodes. I'm always a sucker for the BBC planet earth series and this one seems to be a homerun so far
  13. Just starting the Norm McDonald Netflix show. I'm about 3 minutes in and I'm not sure I can make it the entire show. I think he was funny AF, but this format of him speaking into a microphone at home isn't working. Norm's brilliance was in the crowd or interviewers interaction. This is just him talking into a computer. I'm gonna try to stick with it, but it's not going to be easy
  14. Thanks for reminding me about that show. I have wanted to check it out
  15. Can vouch for all ages except the good place. The rest are awesome! Never watched any of them live, only repeats on streaming
  16. I'm watching Barry on HBO Max, it's pretty interesting. Very dark, some funny moments, gotta suspend reality while watching it, but definitely worth checking out
  17. Letterkenny spinoff "Shoresy" finally dropped on Hulu, 2 weeks after Canada got it on crave. Watched E1, didn't blow me away, I guess I was expecting more like letterkenny. But I follow a podcast that recaps each show so I'm not going to binge this one. I need to hear the recap to see what I'm in for
  18. I love Kim and Saul, never liked Howard, but honestly never crossed my mind he'd be disposed of in any sort of dramatic fashion. I guess I figured he'd just fade into Bolivia. That mid season finale completely shocked me.
  19. not usually a network show fan but Ghosts on CBS/Paramount+ is a VERY funny show. also just started on "Barry" on HBOMax. Very interesting. Love Bill Hader so i am gonna stick with this one for a while
  20. i appreciate the effort @Shaw66, @Bill in NYC and @Virgil among others have done recapping the games the past few years. They were always my first reads after the games to get good analysis and observations. I can't imagine the time and effort that went into those weekly nuggets. Thanks for what you all did and continue to do for the rest of us
  21. Billy Bob Thornton in Slingblade is the first to come to mind for me
  22. Warriors all the way for me, but I love Jimmy Buckets so I'll definitely root for them over Boston. I also have grown a lot of respect for spoelstra as a coach. But golden state for me now that the Sixers flamed out.... again
  23. I thought he just paused ticket sales in some strange gesture to honor the victims of yesterday's tragic events
