  1. It's weird because I've seen comments that Edwards' visa prohibits him from receiving money from US companies, couple this with Weitsman pulling out of the NIL game thanks to the chancellor. Hopefully this gets resolved before the real damage is done, which may already be happening
  2. Ween is always fun...they show up around the local philly area in one form of another, it's fun when they just show up at some random venue
  3. Saw Rodrigo y Gabriela once as part of a festival and as i was walking up to the venue they were taking the stage and the acoustic guitars filled the air with such incredible sound. it was really cool. It wasn't just loud music, it was that full, deep acoustic guitar sound and even today i think about how awesome that sounded
  4. They're doing free at noon on friday, unfortunately i can't be there
  5. FWIW, any Yes fans out there, i just saw Rick Wakeman last wednesday as he opened his latest tour. What an absolutely fun show. Just him and a couple keyboards/pianos, he told jokes and stories between each song(never knew he was such a story teller). played a solid 90 minutes and ranged from Yes songs, solo stuff, 2 new songs, couple Bowie tunes, Cat Stevens. If he is coming anywhere near you and you are a Yes fan, i highly recommend seeing him
  6. yup, that song immediately gets cranked by me
  7. BMFS tomorrow night in Atlantic City. Setlist from night 1 is pretty impressive
  8. I don't like the idea of Pitino coming in. Seems like a risky move. I hope luring Hopkins back isn't off the table
  9. I'm going to look into it. I have an inside friend at XPN now
  10. I hate to admit it, but I kinda like him. He is very quirky and seems to have an incredible attitude and doesn't take life too seriously.
  11. I was floored. Lawn seats ffs. I didn't realize Ben Gibbard had that kind of draw all of a sudden. Hopefully they drop as the date approaches. I REALLY want to go to this one
  12. They just announced a Death Cab For Cutie/Postal Service tour. (A), let's just call it an evening with Ben Gibbard. (B) lawn seats are already $150???
  13. Not basketball related but Syracuse soccer is playing the national championship game on the U. Up 1 at halftime. It's an entertaining game without the flopping
  14. Anyone start Tulsa King yet? I went in with very cautious optimism. 2 episodes in I'm not in the least bit disappointed. Great cast, Stallone is really good!!!! Hopefully this show has legs
  15. Can't wait!!! https://youtu.be/6aoeg2rHGNw
  16. Just got home from the Lemonheads. Walked out after 6 songs. Evan Dando was absolutely stoned out of his mind. Didn't know the lyrics or what was next. So disappointed, was so looking forward to this show. Oh well, can't all be winners
  17. Just got back from JRAD. What an incredible night of music. The Met Philly is a beautiful venue. JRAD is a group of incredibly talented musicians and they absolutely killed it tonight. If you are a Dead fan, you have to check them out
  18. Joe Russo's Almost Dead (JRAD) tomorrow night at the Met Philly, Lemonheads next week in lititz pa, on the campus of Rock Lititz (look it up, it's super cool)
  19. Just got Billy Strings (BMFS) in Atlantic City in February. Should be killer. He just played Rochester last night, the setlist looked amazing
  20. There's already a separate grateful dead thread but this is relevant. Hopefully fans of the Dead and other bands have noticed the Dead songs playing as they go to commercials during these sporting events. Here's a cool article from a couple years ago explaining why! Weir everywhere https://relix.com/articles/detail/deadicated-fox-sports-jacob-ullman-on-bringing-the-grateful-dead-to-the-world-series-and-nascar/
  21. The crowd was decent but not packed, Phillies were playing so understandable. It was fun. There was clapping between songs just like a concert. The movie itself was not the full show, but that was fine. The Tivoli show was definitely a fun show, so seeing most of it on the screen was awesome. The camera shots and audio were stellar. It was very much like back in the day when there were simulcast events in theaters. Well worth the night out
  22. I like the 76ers, they are the old syracuse nationals, so i have that connection, but i will NEVER jump on a teams bandwagon just because i happen to live there. I see too many people who have no issue acting as if they are life long fans just because they are in post season.
