  1. Choad isn't a young people phrase, it's been around for ever...kind of means jack arse, dick etc...
  2. Yes and No, it's not actually true, but they tell you it's not true
  3. I watched the first 30-40 minutes. thought it was very well done.Marissa Tomei was an awesome Edith. Jamie Foxx was perfect as George. Really enjoyed what i saw That was Irene's husband...can't remember his name but he was a good addition last nite. Wish I'd stuck around for the jeffersons part, heard Marla Gibbs reprised her role
  4. He designed a couple of buildings at SUNY Fredonia. Hated his "riot steps"
  5. don't smoke weed so i couldn't tell you
  6. @PromoTheRobot, same time tomorrow...and friday?
  7. Good point. His whining also got old for me, I know it's all schtick, but it really gets old
  8. I also stopped listening 2 or so years ago once he started becoming Hollywood elite. There's no denying his interview skills. He was on CBS Sunday morning and I thought it was an excellent segment
  9. Father Paul Dugan passed away this weekend. He was a first cousin twice removed(my grandmother's first cousin). Such a good guy. They named a dorm after him on the Canisius campus. I got to visit him a couple of years ago with my kids at his retirement place at Fordham U and was hoping to visit him again this weekend, but i guess that isn't going to happen. https://maacsports.com/news/2019/5/11/about-the-maac-canisius-mourns-the-passing-of-rev-paul-j-dugans-j.aspx
  10. Coming up for the Yankee game on saturday. Naturally plan on hitting Other Half, but are there Bronx breweries that are must visit?
  11. Agree, and Embid can't park consistently 26-30 feet from the basket.
  12. Philly has a "special pipeline" from Hill Farmstead as Shaun Hill and Gene Broillet, from Tired Hands have a long and collaborative friendship, not to mention some of the other beer big wigs in the area. That's the reason Philly is one of 2 or 3 places in the country to also get Pliny the Elder and more important Pliny the Younger.
  13. What a game, what a shot. Sixers could have, maybe should have, won that game but they are still young and learning and they played against maybe the second best all- around player(behind durant) in the NBA in Kawhai. Hopefully the Sixers sign Harris and Jimmy Buckets and continue to "Trust The Process"
  14. We are getting regular shipments of heady and focal in the Philly market. Agree with you about focal. Fiddlehead is still hard to find here, but I found it in Syracuse once. Hill Farmstead is well represented down here!
  15. This is pretty wild....they could potentially put out some amazing beers as a single unit. https://www.brewbound.com/news/boston-beer-company-and-dogfish-head-agree-to-merge-in-300-million-deal?fbclid=IwAR2de2HmhOhYljUNF5myYW82LW7CxQJYpnYL_Rx_6U9piq_xpJ0QxYFPyWk
  16. probably, but Philly does that jawn better, point still remains, it's not a gen z or millennial phrase
  17. I did a corned beef a few weeks ago, while it did take 48 hours, I was absolutely amazed that corned beef could come out not stringy when you cut it.
  18. "Jawn" is a Philly phrase, been around forever, very similar in usage to "da kine" in Hawaii
  19. There's a good Facebook group called sous vide dummies. Has a lot of good info and ideas
  20. Let me echo earlier sentiments thanking all for being active participants in this discussion so simple minded folks like me can get a readers digest version of everything going on. My eyes would have glossed over almost immediately had I tried to sit down and watch all of this
  21. Just typing out loud. Best players in the nba currently. I realize we can go into dozens of players, but really looking for top 10-15 Uber talents. Players like Jokich, Embid et al still have to prove themselves over the long haul. Does Lillard belong on the short list? There’s so much talent, but who are the 15-20 that are head and shoulders above the rest? Durant Kawahi Curry Lebron Yiannis Harden Westbrook Kyrie
  22. Didnt work, took off all my clothes and they’re still going in different directions
  23. What a great win by the Sixers. What a game!
  24. Count me among the non-marvel watchers also, i also wish i could have part of that craze this weekend. Eventually I will watch them, but to date I really have never sat down to watch any of them. I have seen Iron Man and Guardians but not really all the way through start to finish, parts here and there. I have a friend who is a big fan of them and he has given me the order to watch them in. One of these days i will sit down to watch them, In the meantime I will just be a bit jealous of all of y'all who are so geeked about what you saw this weekend. oh yeah, never watched Star Wars either.
