  1. Agree, and Embid can't park consistently 26-30 feet from the basket.
  2. Philly has a "special pipeline" from Hill Farmstead as Shaun Hill and Gene Broillet, from Tired Hands have a long and collaborative friendship, not to mention some of the other beer big wigs in the area. That's the reason Philly is one of 2 or 3 places in the country to also get Pliny the Elder and more important Pliny the Younger.
  3. What a game, what a shot. Sixers could have, maybe should have, won that game but they are still young and learning and they played against maybe the second best all- around player(behind durant) in the NBA in Kawhai. Hopefully the Sixers sign Harris and Jimmy Buckets and continue to "Trust The Process"
  4. We are getting regular shipments of heady and focal in the Philly market. Agree with you about focal. Fiddlehead is still hard to find here, but I found it in Syracuse once. Hill Farmstead is well represented down here!
  5. This is pretty wild....they could potentially put out some amazing beers as a single unit. https://www.brewbound.com/news/boston-beer-company-and-dogfish-head-agree-to-merge-in-300-million-deal?fbclid=IwAR2de2HmhOhYljUNF5myYW82LW7CxQJYpnYL_Rx_6U9piq_xpJ0QxYFPyWk
  6. probably, but Philly does that jawn better, point still remains, it's not a gen z or millennial phrase
  7. I did a corned beef a few weeks ago, while it did take 48 hours, I was absolutely amazed that corned beef could come out not stringy when you cut it.
  8. "Jawn" is a Philly phrase, been around forever, very similar in usage to "da kine" in Hawaii
  9. There's a good Facebook group called sous vide dummies. Has a lot of good info and ideas
  10. Let me echo earlier sentiments thanking all for being active participants in this discussion so simple minded folks like me can get a readers digest version of everything going on. My eyes would have glossed over almost immediately had I tried to sit down and watch all of this
  11. Just typing out loud. Best players in the nba currently. I realize we can go into dozens of players, but really looking for top 10-15 Uber talents. Players like Jokich, Embid et al still have to prove themselves over the long haul. Does Lillard belong on the short list? There’s so much talent, but who are the 15-20 that are head and shoulders above the rest? Durant Kawahi Curry Lebron Yiannis Harden Westbrook Kyrie
  12. Didnt work, took off all my clothes and they’re still going in different directions
  13. What a great win by the Sixers. What a game!
  14. Count me among the non-marvel watchers also, i also wish i could have part of that craze this weekend. Eventually I will watch them, but to date I really have never sat down to watch any of them. I have seen Iron Man and Guardians but not really all the way through start to finish, parts here and there. I have a friend who is a big fan of them and he has given me the order to watch them in. One of these days i will sit down to watch them, In the meantime I will just be a bit jealous of all of y'all who are so geeked about what you saw this weekend. oh yeah, never watched Star Wars either.
  15. I'm just popping in as a non-watcher because after all the reaction i am seeing online, i kind wish i do/did watch, i feel like i missed something pretty special. Enjoy the rest of the series for all of you fans!
  16. I get everyone's dislike of Harden, but he kind of has a point on those 'non-calls', while I hate the call and the play to begin with, in every game this season those have been called fouls(no matter how far forward Harden jumps or kicks his leg), now all of a sudden they aren't. Can't have 2 sets of rules. That said, it still isn't getting old watching how good the Golden State team plays. Also, those back to back blocks on Yiannis by Horford in the Boston game??? WOW. Time for the Sixers to put their big boy pants on up north and bring a win back to South Philly
  17. Have always hated the Celtics, go Braves and Sixers. Those Celtics teams with Hondo, JoJo etc were some of the greatest teams ever.
  18. If i were to be completely honest...i'd love to have that little of a presence....but i wouldn't have the balls
  19. Drinking that crap was by far the worst part of the colonoscopy process, it was like drinking slightly watered down, fake lemon flavored vaseline. the rest was a piece of cake, even having to camp out on the crapper all nite
  20. Nothing like bands singing about pedophilia.....I kid... I kid
  21. it's funny that social media is relatively quiet, it seems the main thing they are focused on is this passage on page 280 or so.... https://www.cnet.com/news/trumps-first-reaction-to-mueller-investigation-im-f-ked/?ftag=COS-05-10aaa0b&linkId=66284780
  22. Looks like a cool movie about the music that came out of Laurel Canyon in the late 60's-mid 70's that defined the "California Sound"
