  3. hahahahaha...cut him some slack, he's a syracuse guy, so he has to be pretty cool, kinda like me!
  4. back to the original point...i've been hanging out with a buddy that is a big Phish guy and I have been getting his advice on a Phish 101 tutorial...always kinda liked them, then when I say Trey with the Dead, decided I needed to be more into them, but where to start...once I get that in check, I want to get more into Widespread, again, after seeing them at the Dear Jerry show.
  5. also yesterday, I think Mama Allman died :-(
  6. the two aren't connected in any way, this thread is about a lion, not the stuff going on at planned parenthood or on the mean streets of the united states....surprisingly enough most of us are capable of caring about many issues at the same time without diminishing the importance of another issue and fwiw, it is being discussed by a lot more people than this topic right here -- http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/177672-abortion/
  7. yesterday was the anniversary of the release of Terrapin Station, the radio station I listen to did their "5 at 5" and played side 2 of the album, which is the 7 part Terrapin Suite, I was listening to it and it was weird to hear the studio version...so used to hearing it all done live...
  8. I agree with this....much like The Dead, Phish etc, listening to studio albums may actually dissuade you from pursuing them more. Find some youtube video's of live shows, it gives a 2D glimpse of the energy of the shows. If they ever come to your area, take the leap and actually go see them live, that's where the real hook is.
  9. Most people don't buy high end cars for their practicality, they buy them because they can afford the upkeep on them.
  10. mmmmmmm.....red hair.....

  15. I've seen a lot of concerts and some legendary musicians over the years and I always come away from RR shows saying they are among the best I have ever seen. the music and his style is so damn infectious, I am so glad he was able to recover from his accident a couple years ago, him not being able to play music would have been a tragedy.
  16. I saw that he played blues or jazz fest, was he with The Family Band or The Word, with The Word you get the added benefit of an Electric Washboard player with Cody Dickinson(North Mississippi All-Stars), not to mention the Hammond stylings of John Medeski...simply amazing
  17. You need to see him with The Word, believe it or not, might be better than with Family Band
  18. McFaddens in NoLibs, they are looking for a new location this year. I found a place more local to me that gives me my own TV each week, so I am happy. I think i was there for the same game, that was a wild time
  19. Really nice person and had plenty of Bills players connections, so she always had nice raffle prizes on gameday, she will be sorely missed in the local Philly Bills community, but she got a great opportunity to go work for the Pegula group.
  20. Michelle was the head of the Philly Bills Backers. Great person. Huge Bills fan. She just recently moved from Philly and NFLN to Buffalo to work for Buffalo1 or whatever it's called.
  21. I saw him friday night, I assume he wore this at a Buffalo area gig. By the way, if anyone is a Robert Randolph fan, check out this new side project, The Word, RR, John Medeski & The North Mississippi All-Stars, they absolutely brought the house down friday. One of the more dynamic performers I have ever seen live.
