  1. Thank you but I am neither looking for or willing to take advice at this particular time.
  2. .....a sphincter http://stuffhappens.us/man-found-with-30-eyeballs-16211/
  3. I've seen a lot of concerts and some legendary musicians over the years and I always come away from RR shows saying they are among the best I have ever seen. the music and his style is so damn infectious, I am so glad he was able to recover from his accident a couple years ago, him not being able to play music would have been a tragedy.
  4. I saw that he played blues or jazz fest, was he with The Family Band or The Word, with The Word you get the added benefit of an Electric Washboard player with Cody Dickinson(North Mississippi All-Stars), not to mention the Hammond stylings of John Medeski...simply amazing
  5. You need to see him with The Word, believe it or not, might be better than with Family Band
  6. McFaddens in NoLibs, they are looking for a new location this year. I found a place more local to me that gives me my own TV each week, so I am happy. I think i was there for the same game, that was a wild time
  7. Really nice person and had plenty of Bills players connections, so she always had nice raffle prizes on gameday, she will be sorely missed in the local Philly Bills community, but she got a great opportunity to go work for the Pegula group.
  8. Michelle was the head of the Philly Bills Backers. Great person. Huge Bills fan. She just recently moved from Philly and NFLN to Buffalo to work for Buffalo1 or whatever it's called.
  9. I saw him friday night, I assume he wore this at a Buffalo area gig. By the way, if anyone is a Robert Randolph fan, check out this new side project, The Word, RR, John Medeski & The North Mississippi All-Stars, they absolutely brought the house down friday. One of the more dynamic performers I have ever seen live.
  10. that's an interesting situation though, how does second hand smoke affect someone? In the past month I have been at concerts where there was heavy smoking all around me. I don't smoke and I am not in any danger of having to take a drug test(probably just jinxed that by saying it out loud). But how likely is it that being in outdoor proximity of pot smoking gets picked up in a drug test and do they go by levels of thc in the test?
  11. i was leaving a show saturday night in Camden, NJ, got to my lot and kind of had to pee and at least a 30 minute ride home. For an instant, considered whipping it out along side my car, but then realized it wasn't a savage. As I leave and turn to get on the bridge back home, there's a dude, peeing on a building without any concern for people driving and walking by....people are strange...
  12. I do, i have seen some great ones in the bowels of the Philly Septa system...also have seen some that plain suck. If I have cash I throw in a buck for those that are at least trying...but i rarely carry cash....
  13. It's an entirely different year of life
  14. I'm doing everything I can, and stop calling everyone Shirley
  15. I won't deceive you Mr. Striker, you're running out of time!
  16. I know what you mean, but what does beer taste like? grass? pine trees? juniper berries? bananas? all of those flavors have been part of beer for ever, a good pilsener urquell has strong hints of grass, a good hefeweizen is judged on how well the esters from the yeast impart a banana flavor into the beer. Oyster Stouts have been around since Victorian time, they don't "taste like" oysters, they simply have a hint of a taste that you can pick out on your tongue, the rest is pure "beer flavor". Now more to your point, these new Root Beer Beers to me is garbage, the Radlers. shandy's etc....that is where i am on your side. Bottom line, as long as YOU enjoy what you are drinking, that is all that matters, but do yourself a favor, every once in a while, step outside your comfort zone and try a new style of beer, not saying you'll like it, but who knows. Forever, the thought of sours repulsed me, now Sours are the latest beer craze, I keep sampling them and more often than not I find myself saying, "Hey, that's not half bad"....beer is fun.
  17. last year i mixed the Flying Dog Dead Rise and Pearl Necklace beers, figured oysters and old bay are a good fit together...it was very good. What i really want to try is the Wynkoop Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout, but that hasn't made it's way east yet
  18. no different than an oyster stout and they have been around for years and there are some VERY good ones out there.
  19. I'm in...just got the deets, pick up/drop off locations and my required attire....
  20. My youngest(17) is into skateboarding, after watching him at skateparks and skateshops, I have a new appreciation for the people that are in the sport. I always saw them as slacker/stoners and while that may be the case, the way they interact at skateparks with encouragement and support and the skate shops with their product knowledge and again, willingness to help and share, it's all pretty impressive. maybe i haven't been exposed to a lot, but in my area, the local parks and shops all produced the jackass crew. I am really enjoying the whole scene....you'd never get my fat ass on a board, but i am becoming a fan.
  21. I'm still not convinced it was all the baby and his/her family....the difficulty in making 3 'full size' pancakes is still a sticky point with me
  22. Moi????
  23. I am surprised Julius Peppers and Dwight Freeney are both 35, not sure why, but i thought Peppers was much younger than Freeney...
