  2. Good for him, that was a good piece. He does good work, but sometimes he just acts like an ass and that puts people off. I enjoy his writing for the most part!
  3. I must be out of my mind for seeking legit advice after the crap I fling in similar threads, but here goes.... Meeting Parents of a friend of mine for dinner tonight. They are in town from Richmond, they want to take me to dinner at Mortons. I have only met them one or two times so that in and of itself is going to be kind of awkward, but that's ok. They are treating...I am not a Morton's kind of guy, I will actually be surprised if they let a troglodyte like me in the place. Do I offer to pay the tip? I figure I will hit the ATM and come prepared with about $50 in cash(I NEVER carry cash on me). What say y'all? Also what should I get? Like I said, I have never set foot in Mortons and my steak knowledge is non-existent. Suggestions on cuts? Dishes? Thanks.
  4. I can live up to THAT hype and I'm 52 and fat
  5. Bless your little heart!

  12. I look like this but still get to tap this:
  13. from what I am hearing from reports from people at the practices, Manuel is playing pretty well, but all the talking heads are saying that the others are playing better, Taylor is using his feet a lot, Cassel has hit some nice throws. Manuel is playing against the #4 defense, primarily, while the others are playing 2nd unit, correct? I trust those that are watching the practices over those that get paid to write about them. Defenses are always ahead of Offenses at this point of pre-season, so it's natural that a QB is going to have ups and downs early on....dear lord this is driving me nuts...i want the regular season to start so we can get away from all this speculation.
  14. when you are watching it, do you see a bowl of spaghetti-o's slowly turning around?
  15. for what it's worth at this point in time, I have the motorola roadster, i bought it on ebay for $30, i absolutely love it..the bluetooth speaker by itself has enough volume to be heard over the radio, for google maps navigation. and if i want to play Howard via my Sirius app, i never have trouble finding an fm channel clear enough to play through the car radio.
  16. Not sure what the intent of the fm transmitter is but shouldn't the Bluetooth allow her to pair the iPhone and transmit through the car stereo? Worth noting you can't set up the Bluetooth pairing while the car is moving
  17. it's the typical amphitheater...sure i love small venues too, but sitting on the lawn on a gorgeous night is pretty sweet as well. it was a ton of fun.
  18. Durgin-Park restaurant for the insults....and the food
  19. the year 2000 called, they said 'what's up?'
  20. hey, i walked about a half mile from car to venue, plus the hill was steep, and getting my fat ass up and down in a low beach chair for ovations is a workout in itself....oh and the increased heart rate one experiences while walking in Camden NJ at night has to count for something...right??? , but I did behave...nursed a beer(my buddy bought me one because I gave him my extra ticket, so i couldn't be rude) but then worked on a gatorade the rest of the night just to stay hydrated.
  21. Elvis was the "opener" with a very nice 60 minute set. Had a bit of trouble getting into tune for "Everyday I write the book" but eventually got there. He was with The Imposters which was very cool to see. Steely Dan put together a 2 hour set backed by an incredible 10 piece band including 4 horns and 3 back-up singers. Walter Becker was not the guitar focus which was kind of weird, but he provided some very very funny crowd banter which seemed a bit out of character. Donald Fagan sounded awesome. They went through their hits because as Becker put it, "we like those songs too". Great evening of music and I am not usually one to get excited about nostalgia bands from my ute(except for maybe the Dead), but the Camden show had to have been about 20,000+ people and no one left disappointed. The only downer was for us lawn seat folks, the camera guy was HORRENDOUS...he couldn't/wouldn't follow the band. it was annoying but hey, we knew what we were getting when we took the cheap way out. If they come to a town near you, check them out.
  22. it's a very interesting accent, that's for sure
