  1. He was beaten down the field by Slayton on man-to-man coverage. It was fairly high profile. He also got called for the PI. Other than that, I think he did ok. He was t a train wreck and not a player constantly targeted as he was last week
  2. Last season kind of changed my outlook overall. I remember a Patriots fan saying “the season doesn’t start until December” and when you look at 2022 he was right. It doesn’t matter if your record is 13-3 as the #2 seed in the playoffs. The home field is nice but winning a road playoff game is far from impossible. I just want to see this team firing on all cylinders and going into the postseason strong. If they aren’t the #1 seed, I could really care less whether they are #2 or #7
  3. Given his contract, it’s fair to want more from Knox. He has flashed so much potential at times and he’s improved quite as a blocker. For this reason, the Bills bet on potential. It paid off with Josh and Ed Oliver. Has not really paid off with Knox…yet
  4. Good poll. I think all these coaches will be on the hot seat come seasons end. Eberfluss is the most likely not to make it out of the season. I think he’s a goner and his GM Ryan Poles should be on the chopping block as well. He had an opportunity for a complete rebuild and after year 3, and has little to show for it. He’s also made some goofy moves IMO like devoting a lot of his cap to signing Edmunds and Edwards. Holding 2 high picks in 2024, the Bears are in a position where they can do the same thing but under a different GM. A great situation to walk into. Out of all these teams, San Diego is the most desirable given the QB situation. Given the lousy job he’s done as GM the past few years, it does make you wonder if he still complete control over roster/drafting as he had in NE
  5. I shed a few watching that QB play, for sure
  6. Wouldn’t be surprised if he misses a few weeks which could explain the signing of Fournette. My guess is it’s a PS squad spot
  7. I think it’s a mix of matchups and defense getting the upper hand early on. As the season goes on, I feel you’ll see a counter and wouldn’t be surprised to see the three teams you mention shape up into top form in December
  8. To be fair, that is Daboll’s thing. He chewed out Josh on the sideline as a rookie and famously during the New England game in 2019. He also did the same thing to Daniel Jones earlier this season.
  9. Pretty much a fair assessment of Tyrod. I remember right after the Bills re-signed him, one of the websites started doing “Quarterback Tiers.” They ranked Tyrod toward the bottom of NFL QB’s in Tier 3 saying you could win with him if you have solid pieces around but on his own he couldn’t carry an offense. I remember thinking it was BS because he was OUR QB, but it retrospect it was spot on. The Jacksonville game is what solidified it for me, as the defense went balls out and he couldn’t find a way to get the Bills into the end zone.
  10. I think that 6 games into the season is way too early to make a definitive statement on Hardy. The touchdown last night and the long pass he caught versus Jacksonville shows that he can make plays and just needs to be given opportunities. I’m not sure he’s had that in Buffalo. The difference is that McKenzie had many opportunities to show what he can do. He flourished as a “gadget” receiver but showed that he wasn’t strong enough to be a full time slot WR. So I think Hardy is capable of doing more…he just hasn’t been target much.
  11. He’s a bit extreme in his assessment. They are not a perfect team offensively and have some flaws which we’ve seen a lot the past few weeks. But if you look how they stack up to the rest of the league, even with these stumbles, they are STILL among the top offensively. They have a lot to work on, no doubt, but to call them “broken” is quite the overreaction
  12. This was the right call because on 4th and 10 from the 35 you really have no other choice. This decision was always going to based on the end-result. Bass misses the kick and people say “why would you not punt the ball?” Had they punted the ball and the Giants scored the GW TD the narrative then becomes “How can you not trust your kicker who missed 1 FG all season long”
  13. Of course…but you could say the same thing about every team in the NFL.
  14. Despite the 3 huge injuries this is what has to give you hope as a Bills fan. The pass rush still should be above average which should also help out the secondary. Im still a bit concerned about the rushing defense as Milano and Jones are a huge part of that. I think they may have to make a move at DT or LB. But also hoping we have those guys in January
  15. That was 7 ago… there isn’t a player in the front 7 still on the team. I don’t see any correlation
  16. This means nothing after Week 5
  17. The need to find a way to get the TE’s the ball in the middle of the field. That’s been missing this season. I have faith that it will happen for Kincaid this season
  18. So…who do you move out of the DE room?
  19. I’m glad to see him doing well but I think it’s just an example of a player succeeding in a different situation. None of us shed a tear when Moss was moved. He had opportunities over his first 3 years in Buffalo under 2 different coordinators and he never really broke out. You can argue that he actually regressed in Buffalo.
  20. Doubtful. The Bills are stacked at EDGE with 6: Von Miller Greg Rosseau Leonard Floyd AJ Epinesa Shaq Lawson Jonathan Kingsley Clark is likely not going to sign onto a PS. So who do you move? The Bills what they’ve seen from Jonathan Kingsley and kept him over a former 2nd round pick. I guess you could swap Clark out for Shaq but Lawson is someone who knows the defense very well and does a decent job in his role. Unless there’s a major injury to this group (which isn’t out of the question given the injury luck this season), I can’t see the Bills trading or signing Clark
  21. They are not tanking… the team is just built poorly offensively and are suffering some pretty big injuries. The past few years people in the media have actually applauded BB for his off-season which has including bringing in bigger bodies on offense to punish the smaller, quicker defense in the modern NFL. My guess is he’s been so successful they assumed it would happen again. How many times have you read “He zigs when everyone else zags!?!?!?” IMO it’s a mix between ignorance and hubris. Bill believes he can turn back the clock to 2001 when his defense could carry the team and the offense just had to play smart and control the ball. To be fair, the New England defense still has been pretty good at full strength, but they have been killed by injuries. I think Belichick is still very good as a defensive coordinator, but the way he built the offense over the past three seasons should be a fireable offense as GM Brock Purdy is a “once in a few decades” outlier. Probably not the best example.
  22. I read the All-22 breakdown from Joe B who is returning after a parental leave. He basically said the similar things about the offense and that it came down to a lack of execution: - First down drops from Cook, Knox and Davis. - Allen under throwing Diggs on the INT - Penalties and missed blocks etc. The good news is that it did not seem that the offense was “figured out” by Jacksonville. They played good game with some timely calls on 3rd down, but it was more of an issue of the Bills not capitalizing when they should have….
  23. I think that assuming the Bills would just roll over Cincy in 21 is somewhat of a fallacy. Kansas City’s offense that year was just as strong as Buffalo. Cincy and Lou Anarumo made some key defensive adjustments to stifle Mahomes. The Bills also struggled to stop Burrow’s quick throws to Chase, Higgins, and Boyd in 2022. I’m not sure how that’s different in 2021. I guess you could say the Bengals OL was worse then, but so was the Bills pass rush. The injuries and circumstances really hurt the Bills last season, but many people thought they had a good chance to beat Cincy this year too. So while I’m not saying it’s a given they don’t beat the Bengals in Buffalo, I don’t think it’s a certainty either
  24. I completely see what you’re saying it’s been nice to see players like Bernard, Rosseau, Benford and a few others step up. The only silver lining is that it gives new players some important reps. The problem is that 2023 is likely the final shot that the “core” Bills players will have to win it all. I see a scenario where the Bills could be without familiar faces like Gabe, AJ, Poyer, Hyde, and the DL depth (Shaq, Phillips, Poona). Plus we don’t know how Tre White will bounce back from his second major injury. The team was built to compete for a SB in 2023, and these injuries make it so much harder, but we have to have hope that Josh and the offense can overcome.
