  1. You’re 100% correct here. Not sure about the 2nd CB though - I’d like for us to sign a veteran on the cheap. I’d go something like: 1 cb 2 dt 3 wr 4 Guard sign vet UFA cb, sign gronk, sign difference make DE
  2. all great points. I’d prefer signing mckenzie for around $2.5m per year 3 years and cut Beasley. McKenzie was tragically underutilized by Daboll until late in the season
  3. I don’t agree - I’m not an Edmunds fan but we only play 2 LBs at a time and Edmunds and Milano will be here for a while. We have far greater needs.
  4. Yep that was amazing. I remember going nuts and saying the game is over. McDermott will play this right and it’s basically impossible to lose. Ask mcdermott - he prepares for this moment every day in practice. I was wrong
  5. I think Gronk retires. If he doesn’t I really think he comes to Buffalo on a 1 year $8m contract
  6. We aren’t overreacting to this. The moment proved too big for McDermott, the ST coach and Fraser and that’s really worrisome.
  7. Best available CB. Tre was taken at 27, imagine getting another CB even remotely close to as good as tre at 25? Wallace simply isn’t good enough and will be way overpaid (hopefully not by a team that expects him to play a lot of man). Rewatching the last two playoff games, Wallace was really bad. even vs NE he was bailed out by Hyde on that 1st NE drive
  8. Nope we don’t want either in or mccafrey - why would be want the next OC to be tempted to have Josh pass less. Motor is fine
  9. Smart man!! 7 tds in 7 drives vs NE - the great exorcism!
  10. Not sure Cole is back? Beane’s statement wasn’t exactly a ringing endorsement, “Cole’s under contract so I expect him back.” My guess is he takes a pay cut to stay (possibly by adding a voidable year to his contract) or he’s cut.
  11. This is so hard to get a grasp on. Simply put, There is no way in the world you should have a wr catch 4 tds (first time in nfl playoff history) and a qb throw 9 tds in back to back playoff games (first time in nfl playoff history) and be eliminated. Defensive coaches had them playing scared.
  12. Could be correct as he might follow Brady into retirement. Gronks only 32 years old though, younger than Beasley for instance.
  13. Gronks 2021 contract was $8m. For someone who had 2 Super Bowl td catches less than a year ago and is still the best blocking TE in football it’s a no brainer. I know out salary cap right now is nearly tapped but a couple of restructures or cuts (Beasley, star, morse, Williams) and an extension freeing up cash (Diggs) and we’ll have plenty of cash
  14. There was plenty of formations inbetween blitzing and the extreme prevent defense they played that would have worked. Here’s one. Rush 2 (Oliver and hughes) and chip Kelce, hill and Pringle off the line. 2 safeties (Hyde, poyer) 20-25 yards of the ball (not 40); the three guys chipping (Dane, Milano and Johnson) stick with Kelce, hill and Pringle; remaining 4 (Edmunds, Neal, Wallace and Lewis) playing quarters 15 yards down field. This would have made Mahomes throw infinitely harder And would have limited yardage. mcdermott played so conservative as to not to lose that it caused us to lose.
  15. Coaches responsible for informing Bass. McD and ST coach to blame
  16. Daboll has been really good for Buffalo, but we’ll survive……
  17. It came down to TB and BUF for him last year so it is a possibility. BUT he’d prob be too $$&
  18. Why would we possibly want Saquan? With his injury history and cost?? Also, do we really want Josh to pass less? This is not happening, nor are we trading for the Carolina RB
  19. If they did, the pooch would have worked perfectly. Having to go 65 yards in 13 seconds instead of 45 would have worked greatly in our favor. Bass lined up 7 steps back from the ball on the kickoff. When he was purposely pooching earlier in the season(very well so by the way), he would line up 3-5 steps back. He wasn’t communicated the call and that is on the two ST coaches and on McDermott. Inexcusable.
  20. Joe B’s all 22 review this am indicates a pooch kick was called to the left side (where Pringle was). The Bills defenders were running that way and when the kick went through the endZone, 2 or 3 players looked back at the sidelines and to Bass with arms raised basically asking what happened? Bass lined up 7 steps back from the ball instead on 3-5 steps back like he normally would do with pooches. So, it seems doubtful that Bass screwed up the pooch, seems he was never giving the instructions?? If this is true, it’s a major coaching miscommunication mistake. Don’t be surprised is Ferrel (or whatever his name is) is fired over this. as for the next two plays, they’re just terrible, inexplainable formations, the coaches put them in. These formations would have been proper if following a pooch kick. Was McDermott so flustered by the lack of the pooch that he he failed to adjust the defense? Strange considering he properly called a timeout before each play. epic coaching breakdown any way you look at it. Players deserved better
  21. I think the only way Dorsey goes to the Gints if if they throw a lot of $$ at him that BUF won’t match. It would be short-sighted for him to go to the Gints though if his goal is a HC gig
  22. Yep the pooch kick to the 5 or 10 yard line (something Bass had been very good at this year) was the correct choice. Depending on what was really called, I don’t know which would be worse; (1) choosing to not pooch it or (2) if he did choose to pooch and Bass was never informed. Our coverage teams had been great covering the pooch kicks this year. Worse case scenario is a kick return to the 30, a pass to the 50 and a Hail Mary.
  23. I could agree with you except McDermott/Fraser rushed 4 players (stupid as mahomes was obviously passing quickly) didn’t chip Kelce, Hill or #13 off the line and had their safeties playing 40 yards down the field. rush 2 drop 9, and give up two 10 yards passes = game over. not pooching the kickoff is the worst decision of all of them. for someone who says he’s prepared for everything, McDermott really f*cked up his “execution” in the last 13 seconds.
  24. Can’t stop a coach from taking a promotion elsewhere
  25. What are you talking about? Beane had no choice but to let daboll get a HC job and McDermott is going nowhere, stupid 13 seconds or not. I don’t know who’s out there BUT anybody would die to be OC for Josh Allen. Daboll was mediocre at best before Josh.
