I actually think it could be a close game and wouldn't be too surprised if it happened. Brady is not Brady this year. The scores from some of their games really don't reflect the offense you normally assume from this team. Their defense and field position is a large part of their success and scores. With the Jets defense back to full health, especially Mosley against the run, I could see the Jets making Brady feel very uncomfortable for a while. I see a tight game going into the 4th and then Gase probably giving it away or Darnold making a rookie mistake.

Definitely not a process guy, regardless of how good he can play sporadically

I used to feel that way, but I’m seeing how the focus on containment, but for the run and keeping the QB in the pocket has an affect on the offenses. I’m sure there’s an in-between, but I believe the pass rush is close to how they want it.

Brady had one of the worst games of his career against this defense. Mahomes does most of his damage outside of the pocket. Our defense plays amazing contain, and will then sack you if you try to escape. Just ask Mariota

Doesn't surprise me at all. The chemistry with Baker isn't there, Landry is the go-to. Also, there was an article out today about him getting a little frustrated with his lack of targets. Mayfield said the same thing. It was meant to be about how they want to get things going, but you know it's only a matter of time. I called this a few weeks ago. This is why I don’t put a premium on trading draft picks. That’s a terrible turnaround for a 2nd round pick in just two seasons. It’s a crapshoot sometimes and they had to take what they could get. But I’d gladly trade picks for proven young players, like a Diggs. If a 2nd got it done, I’ll take the sure thing over a potential Zay situation again.
